16 Chapter 16 : A curious student

Two days later, 6 AM, Zet and Sarah were awake, Sarah decided to take a walk with Zet, while Kipo was still asleep, she was still not used to waking up this early, Zet told Sarah about Kipo's decision to become a wonderkid.

Zet : so what do you think of her decision ?

Sarah : well....she looks like she's pathetic.....she looks like she can't fight anyone....like she will choose to run instead of fighting.

Zet : but ?

Sarah : but she is not what she looks like.....she can fight when it matters to fight....she has the potential to be better than you.....and this goes back to one reason.

Zet : ok ?...what's that ?

Sarah : she has a pure heart....something we both know that you and I don't have....she will do good....as long as who's training her is good with her.

Zet : I will teach her what I have been taught.

Sarah : what ?.....no...don't do that.

Zet : why ?

Sarah : you are the lightning wonderkid.....she's the animal wonderkid...you can fly....she can't.....you have way more discipline and patience than her.....you will break her if you make her do the things you did.

Zet : so I have to improvise my own ways with her ?

Sarah : yeah....try to make her interested in what she's about to be.

Zet : I will try.

It's 7 AM, Sarah and Zet have returned to their home, they saw Kipo still asleep.

Zet : hey Kipo....time to wake up.

Kipo did not respond.

Zet : let's try again.....Kipo look !.....there is a falling star !

Kipo immediately got up from her bed and rushed outside.

Kipo : what !? where!?

When she looked up in the sky but did not see anything.

Kipo then looked upset at Zet while Sarah was quietly laughing.

Zet : great...you're awake....you got 15 minutes to ready up.....I'll be by the lake.

Zet left.

Kipo : I'm regretting my choice already.

Sarah : honestly you're lucky that he did it and not me.....I was going to throw you again.....I'm enjoying it.

Kipo : why the hell am I supposed to wake up early ?

Sarah : so we don't leave without you one day.

Kipo : ok....that's concerning....I'll just....go now.

10 minutes later and Kipo was ready to start her training, she saw Zet walking around the lake, she went to walk with him.

Zet : hm....early enough....are you ready ?

Kipo : I guess.

Zet : ok then....let's start with a bit of motivation.....I will tell you your potential and what you can do.

Kipo : ok ?

Zet : the animal wonderkid can talk to any animal without being with them....and can understand any language any animal talks with.

Kipo : telepathy.....that's it ?

Zet : don't interrupt me...

Kipo : sorry.

Zet : different animal wonderkids have a specific animal that they can turn into and is what represents them....as an example....the previous animal wonderkid was an eagle.....which is why he was one of the rare animal wonderkids that could fly....and some were rare enough to breath underwater.

Kipo : wait....so you're saying I'm an animal and a human ?

Zet : yes....you are....and judging by your speed....you are a fast animal.

Kipo : that means I could be a tiger ?

Zet : or an ostrich.

Kipo : oh...right.

Zet : don't get ahead of yourself.....no matter what animal you are....you should know that each and every animal has their own special abilities that make them different from the others.

Kipo : wait...can I control animals ?

Zet : not sure....but I believe you can.

Kipo : this is just getting more and more interesting.

Zet : any more questions ?

Kipo : no.

Zet : so now....you need to learn something that might be the most important thing to learn....you need to control your anger.

Kipo in her mind : oh no.

Zet : so....what does make you mad ?

Sarah came with no sound of her footsteps.

Sarah : let me guess....mistrusting people ?

Kipo : whoa !....don't up walk to people like that.

Zet : that's one of the things that you will need to learn later.....how to be someone that no one can see and or hear.

Kipo : is it hard ?

Sarah : not much....you'll like it.

Zet : ehm....back to where we were.....before Sarah interrupted.

Kipo : oh yeah.....mistrusting people does make me angry.

Zet : more....I need to know the things that will make you lose your mind.

Kipo : I don't know....maybe not keeping promises.

Zet : I see....let's move to something else.

Sarah : hey you need help?....she can have two teachers....plus...I want to learn about the whole wonderkids origin.

Zet : sure.....now let's move on to your biggest weaknesses and strong points....tell me something you can't resist.

Kipo : well...I love space so much....and exploring...I hate being locked up in places where I can't do much.

Zet : that's basically what the burrow was....but I can see the reason.....anyway...what about your strong points ?....what does fill you with joy....hope....happiness ?

Kipo : what motivates me to do things is the outcome of it...if I do it.

Zet : interesting....explain more.

Kipo : like if we go and save my people....I know what is going to happen If we save them.

Zet : and that would be ?

Kipo closed her eyes and started to imagine.

Kipo : we will be able to live on the surface....me and my dad....my friends....I will be able to explore every place on this planet when I have my father with me.

Zet : I see....this one is done....next one....you will start to train physically.

Kipo : please don't make me do exercises.

Zet : you will....but not now....first you need to work on your movement....how quiet you are when you move....how fast you are....how well will you balance.

Sarah then looked at Zet and waved her head left and right, hinting for him to stop.

Zet : but....not today....we're done today....you can leave now.

Kipo then sighed of relief, she was not ready for all of this yet.

Kipo left.

Zet : sorry....got a bit carried away.

Sarah : look....she's not like us....you can't do to her what we did....you need to take it slow with her....be more of a friend to her than a teacher.

Kipo then came back, she decided that she wants to learn more about the wonderkids.

Kipo : hey so....we don't have much to do today....so I want to know more about the wonderkids.

Sarah : sure...Zet can tell us.

Zet : curios...sure....do you have any specific questions ?

Kipo : yeah....so I'm the animal wonderkid....and you are the lightning wonderkid.....what are the other 6 ?

Zet : well there is plants....fire.....air....mind....ghost...means invisibility and flying....and strength....and you and me.....these are the 8 wonderkids powers.

Sarah : can you all communicate with each other ?

Zet : each one of us has something special that is used for all of us together....the mind wonderkid is the one who allows us to communicate together.

Kipo : but where are they all ?

Zet : they can be anywhere on this planet.

Sarah : so you're very lucky to find each other.

Zet : yeah....It's very rare for two wonderkids to find each other in the same place on accident.

Kipo : what happens when we all gather in one place ?

Zet : nothing out of the ordinary.....you just have the 8 most powerful humans in the same place.

Sarah : so what happens to your powers when you die ?

Kipo : our powers move to someone else....and they become the new wonderkids.

Sarah : so I really wanted to ask this for a long time.....your hair and eyes....they...

Zet : yes....the lightning wonderkid has the yellow color as their represented color.

Kipo : and I guess the animal wonderkid has the pink.

Zet : yes...and the strength has red... the wind has white....ghost has black....mind has blue....fire has purple....and plants has green.

Sarah : I guess it's easier to recognize you out of the other people.

Kipo : but where did you become a wonderkid....who taught you ?

Zet : this is the same place I was born in.....I still rather not share this.

Kipo : I'm not sure If you know this one but.....in all of the wonderkids lives.....how many times did the 8 wonderkids gather in the same place ?

Zet : none....we are scattered around the world....It's very hard for us all to be in the same place.

Sarah : I know what you're thinking Kipo....you can try if you want.

Kipo : It can work....but it will take more than I think.

Zet : let me guess here....you want to be the first one to gather all the wonderkids ?

Kipo : yes.

Zet : well....it's not impossible....but they can be anywhere.....you would have to find a way to find them all.

Sarah : before thinking about all of this....shouldn't we save your people from the mutants first ?

Kipo : yeah....we do this first....then we go make history.

Zet : for now....we need to make our next step...I'm feeling healed from the wounds.

Sarah : today will be the last day we rest in the house....tomorrow we leave for the observatory.

Zet : I guess you'll do a lot of training in action....now...I need to go...I have something to do.

Zet left

Sarah : so he doesn't want you to know too.

Kipo : you mean about where he's from ?

Sarah : yes....now I'm curious.

Kipo : maybe he doesn't trust us enough yet....he's very aware....he won't tell us secrets if he doesn't want to.

Sarah : you're probably right....anyway....let's go back now....we need to start packing.

Kipo : ok.

Kipo was very excited about this idea, but will it ever work, will she ever make history and be the first one to gather the 8 wonderkids ?
