10 Chapter 10 : A confession (part 1)

The story continues with Kipo laying her suspicion on Sarah, after they met a new human, Zet.

Kipo and Sarah were heading in the opposite direction from the one Zet took.

Sarah was so angry that she did not realize that she is going the wrong way, she was blinded by the anger of seeing Zet, for some reason that she does not want to share with Kipo.

Kipo was distracted, staring at the ground while walking, mixed with her own thoughts about what just happened that she also, did not realize that she was heading towards the wrong way.

Kipo in her mind: why did she do that....who was that?.....did they meet before?

Sarah then stopped Kipo from walking right into a tree.

Sarah: hey....you okay?....we need to go back...this is the wrong way....we came through here before.

Kipo then sighed heavily as she turned around without saying anything to Sarah, Sarah then knew that there is something on her mind.

After a long walk back to where they met Zet, Kipo stopped there and went to check the water and see if the snake is still in it, the water was not really deep, it was just a small lake, she was able to swim down.

Kipo found nothing in the water, the snake is gone, but she is not sure how it got out of it, alive, or dead and dragged out.

After Kipo was done searching she came back with Sarah's company.

Sarah: what was that for....why did you jump in the water?

Kipo: nothing...

Sarah was hesitant to reply to what she just said.

Kipo and Sarah continued their way to the snake village in silence, no words were spoken the whole way.

When they finally reached the snake village they stopped.

Sarah: okay....we're finally here....now Kipo you stay here while I go and start scouting the place from the rooftops.

Kipo: no...we are going together...or none of us is going anywhere!

Sarah: woah...okay....no need for aggressiveness here....we need to stay quiet you know.

Kipo looked at Sarah with an angry face hinting to Sarah that she has done something wrong, but in fact, it was not something wrong, it was worse, it was suspicious, it was something that made Kipo question her trust for Sarah.

Kipo needs to get to the bottom of all of this, but she is just not ready to have such a conversation with Sarah.

After Sarah agreed to take Kipo with her on her scouting mission, she started to look for a way to get them up to one of the buildings, Kipo looked around until she found a tree they can climb and then she poked Sarah and pointed at the tree, Sarah nodded and started climbing the tree, leaving Kipo to follow her.

Kipo was nowhere as near as athletic as Sarah, she had to climb slower, and more carefully.

Kipo managed to get half of the way up the tree, she needed to rest as she became exhausted from climbing it.

The tree was big, big enough to carry a human on one of its branches, so Kipo found a branch she can rest on, Sarah saw Kipo struggling to climb.

Sarah: hey if you can't get up here it's fine I can contin...

Kipo interrupted her with anger filling her, she stood up and shouted.

Kipo: NO!

Her voice was loud enough that the snakes heard it and woke them up in the middle of the day.

Sarah saw the snakes waking up causing her to back down and hide behind the tree's leaves, she tried to tell Kipo but she was so angry that she did not hear her whisper.

Kipo was so angry that Sarah could hear her heavy breathing from all the way up.

Then all of a sudden Kipo got heavier in weight, that the branch could no longer carry her, the branch broke, and with it Kipo fell off landing on her legs, just enough for her to survive such a long fall, but causing her to hit the ground hard and making her lose consciousness and leaving her laying on the ground with no movement.

Sarah: KIPO!!!

Kipo was unconscious and injured from falling off of a big tree and exposing her and Sarah resulting the mission to scout on the snake village to fail.

Sarah then jumped down safely and tried to wake Kipo up, but Kipo was completely knocked out.

Sarah: hey Kipo come on wake up....they are coming!

The snakes have come to check out the noise, but when they got there they saw nothing, but they were sure that there was a sound here, so they started to check the bushes and behind the trees.

by the time they have arrived Sarah dragged Kipo into one of the bushes.

the snakes started sensing something with their tongue, they heard a noise in the bush Sarah and Kipo were in.

One of the snakes approached the bush and searched in it, but to find nothing in it.

By the time that snake approached, Sarah had already run away carrying Kipo on her back and running as fast as she could.

( Our point of view will now change to Zet )

Zet is sixteen years old with yellow hair and yellow eyes, he is short but a fast guy who has the ability to control lightning, which makes him one of the most special kids on earth, a wonderkid, one of the eight wonderkids.

Zet woke up in his little but cozy treehouse that he made, keeping him hidden from the dangers of the area around him, since he was living near a big village that is inhabited by cats that have experience in cutting down and carving trees, they call themselves the timber cats.

Zet usually wakes up early in the morning to go for a morning jog, where he puts on his headphones and starts playing music that has no words, but is meaningful.

He was careful with his life, so when he wakes up every day he always checks the area around him to make sure it is clear for him to go out of his treehouse.

The power that Zet is able to control was very strong, but it had its flaws too, he cannot use lightning through things that are not conductive for electricity, or through things that will send the electric shock back to him, in other words, things that are electrified, he can summon electricity to his hands, but in return, this will pain him, so he only summons electricity when he needs it.

Zet is ready to head outside to do his morning walk routine, he put his headphones on and started jogging.

He was walking peacefully with music filling his head and removing all the anxiety out, until he heard something, something fell off in the gift store that he was passing by, when he went in, to check out the sound, he found nothing, but when he exited he found someone was waiting for him outside, it was Sarah.

Zet: oh... it's you...what do you want?

Sarah: what....can't I go and check on an old friend around here?

Zet: yes...you cant....now leave me alone.

Sarah: aw come on...I just want to have a little chat....to catch up.

Zet: ok listen....we both know that you're here for a totally different reason...and it's probably bad....so if you're not here to thank me for saving you and your friend from a giant snake then get the hell out of my face.

Sarah: fine...I didn't want to say anything in front of Kipo and I suppose you didn't want to too....after you left Kipo noticed that we know each other and got mad at me for hiding such a big secret....that I'm not a burrow girl....so now she is injured after she fell off of a big tree ranch....she is now sleeping in our home.....or unconscious...I don't know.

Zet: first of all.... you're not really making much sense here....and second...I don't see what do you want me to do....and whatever it is...I don't see why would I do it.

Sarah: it's a long story...I need you to come with me and explain the truth to Kipo.

Zet: again.....why would I do that?

Sarah: what can I do to convince you to come?

Zet: look at that.... living with Kijo made you soft.

Sarah: it's Kipo...

Zet: fine...whatever...I will come with you...but just for you to know...I'm not doing this for you...I'm doing this for her...because if she's going to spend an unhealthy amount of time with you she will need to know who you are...I learned that from experience.

Sarah : listen...I really don't want to do this too... but I have to.....so she doesn't blast me with her anger...so this makes the two of us.
