Unknown Land

I woke up on a beach I didn't know of. I looked around, but couldn't find any familiar terrain. "Where the hell am I?" I thought to myself and right after that came the pain all over my body. I tried to stand up, but I failed miserably and just laid down on the beach sand. I remembered the fire on the ship, and how beautiful it looked. But something was off, that couldn't have been a cannon fire. 'Was it the man on the deck who created that fire?' I mumbled to myself. I sat straight and rubbed my chin, it couldn't be a cannonball. They don't shine like that, or fast enough to hit us in an instant. My body still hurts, I found a stick nearby and used it as a helping hand. It was large enough to handle my weight, "Where am I" I looked around, and this time, I was more nervous. This can't be any place I know of, but also it doesn't look like any place we Kins are aware of. There is a huge jungle in front of me, and there is no way we know of any jungle this big. I'm terrified, what if I got washed to another island, and no possible way to go back to my homeland. I felt like it was all over for me, I might not be dead, but I have lost everything.

I had to make a decision, either venture into the jungle, or wait here and try my luck for a friendly battleship, or someone else who's passing these seas. I looked back to the ocean waves, they looked calming, like waves that are firmly going in a direction, a path they follow, a reason to be alive for, and the wind smoothing my hair, they are moving north to the abyss of the jungle. I thought for a moment, I dropped my stick feeling new strength and I motioned forward to North, to my destination.

I was on the run, bumping into trees and breaking sticks. Oh, I was on the run, I heard the growl coming from behind me and I knew exactly what it was. "That bastard is not going to leave me alone," I said breathlessly. It was a motherfucking Tiger, "how did I get in this situation?!" I thought to myself. No time to regret it, I got to run. I took the left turn hoping it would stumble the tiger. I looked behind me and in an unbelievable scene, the tiger made a 90 degree turn without hesitation, slowing down for a second and going at its previous speed. 'For lord's sake, what is wrong with this jungle?!' I yelled and I believe it could have been heard throughout the jungle depth. I slid down, slid down the uneven terrain. Hiding behind a bush, the tiger lost track of me. It has a strong sense of smell and hearing, so I must not move or sweat. If I only had my sword, I sadly lost it when I was blasted into the violent sea. The tiger left, thankfully and I am still alive to suffer another day, 'great' I said.

I have been in this jungle for over a week, I have been counting my days in this forsaken place. At first, it was all fun and childlike, but it got so much more dangerous. This place feels and looks unordinary, I have not seen a single human so far and that was to be expected. No Kin, my kind has ever been to this land. That is something to wonder, how have we not seen this huge jungle? That is if I am still in Kin's maps. I have made a small camp for myself, frankly, it is somewhat a camp, but not entirely. I couldn't find the right material to build a safe tent thanks to predators like that mister tiger. If I'm going to survive, I need food and protection, thankfully I made a pair of wooden spears. In the army, we learn to make a handful of different weapons. I am no blacksmith, so the best I can do is a wooden weapon. I took a spear and headed out again to find a rabbit or any kind of meat, because I needed meat for my hunger and to heal my wounds more efficiently.

From what I learn this jungle has three different bases, separated by a big river. I am in the middle, the best spot for surviving and I also have access to all the rivers across the places I explored. If I go south I will head into the swamp where snakes and mostly uneditable sources lay. West of me is safer, north is where mister tiger lays and East I am not sure. I went there once, but that place felt very odd. Like something was sucking my soul away. I successfully got to the river I had to pass, it is not that difficult to pass the river because there is a big log connecting both terrains. All I have to do is balance myself, I quickly jumped on the long. Stretched my hands and started taking one step at a time. I counted each step to keep my head steady, it helps with the process. Frankly, I am not scared of looking down, the river is beautiful. I moved faster, and faster I think I'm getting better— My feet were about to slit, I got in control just in time, but my heart is pumping faster than usual. I lost my focus, which is why I got careless, I have to keep my head firmly. I finally got to my destination, I was on the other side. I need some more practice with balancing myself, so I won't be in danger every time I do such things. I ran forward, I like this part of the jungle, there aren't many trees or narrow corners. An amazing spot for hunting, maybe I should have come here, but not the middle spot I reign in helps with having easy access to each river, and that is more important.

I threw my spear and it went right through the rabbit. I wish I could find a better animal, but this is all I got in my hands for now. It was getting dark and I needed to go back. I'm still not sure what lies in this part of the jungle. I only encountered rabbits and spiders from time to time. That is when I heard that big bang, what was that? unbelievable, could that be a beast. It was close enough for me to hear their footsteps and rocks cracking. I haven't ventured to those parts of the terrain, I am not sure what lies there. It bothers me, no I got to run back, and so I ran with my spear in my hand. I will not waste my life here, this is not where I want to die. BANG, a big lump of rock went through the destination I was running to, it hit the trees. Destroying a bunch and cramping the others. What the hell, and that it is when it appears, what I saw was unimaginable.

That was a moving rock, "Move back!" I said, What am I doing? It can't understand me. Do I run?, it is just staring at me, now that I look at it, its head or whatever it is, is glowing green. BAAM! A bunch of spikes of rock came out of the earth and went right through the rock giant. It didn't make any sound but its footsteps were deafening enough to count for it. It was banging the ground for some reason, in pain probably. Because of my military training, I was able to come out of my fear. I started running back, it was getting dark, but it was better to find a hiding spot and deal with predators at night than face that beast of a moving rock. If I observed correctly it had two legs made of the diverse shapes of rocks, and two arms with a torso, and a head that is shaped into a pointy cylinder. It had a gem or some kind of object in the middle of the head, probably its eyes. It was glowing green, very brightly. I have never seen such a thing before, but it is such a pain to run every day for my dear life. I looked back and I surprisingly didn't see the beast or anyone else following me, have they lost track? On the matter of the beast, wasn't it fighting something else? rocks were coming out of the ground, and shaping into spikes. It looked like something was controlling the earth, magic? But that can't be, there never was actual magic happening in the world.

I was thinking too hard on this matter, I stopped runnign to catch up on my breathing. It is not a good idea to be in the open, but I didn't feel like I was in danger. I let the time pass and waited until things got quiet, then I took a different route and took off to my camp. This time it was way easier to pass the river, I felt more comfortable doing so. I didn't encounter any beast along the way, and that was fine with me. I slept that day like a baby who was tired from all the activity.

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
