Goodbye

"I'll kill you," Allard promised.

There was a searing pain across her throat as he dug his blade deeper. She was drowning in a river of her own blood. Spluttering and choking on the liquid, she tried to struggle but he pinned her down. Cosette laughed at her.

She smiled, digging her foot into her chest. Sinking it deeper and deeper until she could feel the tip of her heel press against her heart. She was being staked by the woman in front of her. 

Was this another nightmare?

Back inside of that familiar jail cell, Lumielle looked to see her brother's head. Blood spilled from his body and then started to flood the entire jail cell. Lumielle panicked as she tried to beg someone to let her off. The blood was slowly rising as her brother's corpse floated to the top, his headless body saturated with blood. She was being drowned in a river of blood.

It was as if she deserved it.
