112 Chapter 112: Reasons and Revelations (Part 1)

Alexander woke up and let out a huge yawn and stretched his body to reactivate his sleeping muscles. Alexander didn't know for how long he had slept but he was feeling totally refreshed after his sleep on the enchanted bed. Alexander's bed was enchanted to provide maximum comfort to the user. It was like sleeping on soft and fluffy clouds. Alexander really loved his bed.

Alexander had included this special bed in the list of the benefits that a level-5 civilian will get. The people of his empire had grown crazy over the chance to get comfortable sleep as the amount of stress and tiredness that his people felt after their day was over was quite high due to extreme competition in the kingdom. As Alexander was eating his lunch, he filtered through the information that had entered his mind after he had passed his tribulation. The information caused Alexander to nearly choke on the chicken leg he was having and he had to take big gulps of water to deposit his food in the right place. Alexander was a dragon so digesting the bones of a chicken was nothing to him.

Alexander looked up towards the roof of his room and said, " At least warn a guy before striking life threatening deals with the enemies. I acknowledge that you were working for my benefit but at least a warning will be good. If you are aware enough to strike deals then can you talk? I have many questions to ask you...Not giving me any response, then, don't go around striking deals with others on my behalf. Stupid world laws!!!...." A massive thunder rumbled in the sky and Alexander yelled, " Sorry!!! I didn't mean to offend you.....Jeesh!!! Who knew that the world laws of my kingdom would gain a rudimentary sentinence. This didn't happen with Qin Yi, then, why me?? Can you tell me how you came to be? How did you meet the other party?"

Alexander felt huge amount of information and exclaimed in surprise, " Oh!!! So, that's how this happened. Let me study this information carefully. Lunch can wait."

Rose, who had now after so many years entered adulthood, shifted into the room and spoke up, " I sensed that master has stopped eating. lunch.....Master!!! Please, Finish it, the young elves have spent quite an effort in making this for you...."

Alexander cut in, " Not now, Rose!!! A very serious matter has come to my attention. I will finish my lunch after I go over this new information that the world laws have given me. Just, place warming charms over the food. I will eat this later. Tell, the young ones that I liked their dishes."

Alexander slightly smiled when Rose looked at him concern and then shifted back to her duties. Over all these years, Rose had managed to overcome her shyness and was able to interact with him normally. Alexander didn't know when she decided that Alexander needed a womanly touch in his life but now, Rose took care of all his needs when he was at his palace.

According to Rose, continuous interaction with brooding military men would make him also like them, which will then lower his chances of getting a wife and she would not be able to take care of Alexander's children. Apparently, it was an elf thing, to take care of the children of the ones who had taken care of them in their childhood. Alexander had not interacted much with Rose but his extremely potent magic was an extremely powerful nourishment source for the young elves, so indirectly, Alexander had taken care of all the elves that were born since the entire elven race had bonded to him. Yes, the entire elven race consisting of 350 Million elves had bonded with Alexander.

Officially, this was done so that the elven race will not die out before their special trees were found and replanted. Alexander had not allowed anyone else to bond with the elves as the elves were another of his trump cards. Don't underestimate the little fellows, they were extremely terrifying assassins and spies. They were an expert in concealing their movements and masking their presence. They were his personal spies, known to none but watching over all. The only downside was that they had slow reproduction rate. Alexander had for once, thought of using the ritual used by goblins to convert humans into elves but had dropped the idea as the end product were not upto par with the real elves.

The trees that Alexander was talking about were called as ' Mother tree'. The Mother tree was a special magical tree which acted as an incubator and birth accelerator for the elves. In ancient times, each elven couple was gifted a young sapling of the mother tree as a wedding gift by the elven elders. Since, the gestation period of elves was five years, the danger of losing the young elf was quite big, the child was transferred magically inside the mother tree where its growth was accelerated from five years to one year.

The mother tree was blood and soul bound to the elf parents so they were able to easily monitor their child's condition. The mother tree also had the amazing ability of bearing unique fruit which had amazing healing effects and the fruit's seeds were capable of growing into new sapling if enough magical power was given. The mother tree was fully capable of surviving and growing upon magic present in the environment itself but the growth rate was quite slow. It took 100 years for a mother tree to fully mature and become capable of supporting the unborn child.

The elves were able to supply magic to the tree to accelerate it's growth but too much hasty growth bore the risk of damaging the tree itself so the elven parents generally accelerated it's growth by ten years. The trees had gone extinct long before in an unfortunate incident, even the elves themselves had forgotten about this. Alexander had not told the elves about this as he didn't want the little fellows to lament over spilled milk.

Alexander had already decided to reward the elves by giving them a mother tree. Alexander, in his free time, had filtered through thousands of Harry Potter worlds, spread across several timelines, searching for a mother tree. Alexander had not found a single sapling of mother tree till now but he had not given up hope yet. There were an uncountable number of worlds in the Harry Potter universe, it was not possible that not even a single one had the mother tree.

Alexander was brought out of his musings when Rose again arrived in the room and told him that the young ones were quite excited and were planning to make a huge feast for him. Alexander smiled and then, turned his full attention to understanding the new information given to him.
