Escalation of War

Faerie Fire and brimstone erupts out from the magical barrier shielding the entire duchy, startling every single mythical people of Lunaria to busy with festivities and magic tricks as they were initial disturbed by the loud explosion.

As the molten cloud of ash rose higher and higher more resounding gasps of shock could be heard as they breathed out in horror.

Reminding them of their previous anxiety from the looming threat of war all over again.

They all stood there in shock, unable to grasp the situation at hand by the tremendous force of stress hovering over them.

Luckly some took action, responding immediately as soon as it set off, one hundred Elite Alvan Rangers Overseeing the festival went forth to engage the threat at hand, as the new foes demand their action.

Axel seeing this happen immediately rushes towards the stage areas, calling out the attention of the mystical rabble he's responsible for taking care off.

Enhancing his voice and saying his orders in a very calmly manner as it resounds through the gathering, "Everybody evacuate towards the eastern Ent guardians we are cancelling this celebration as we are currently under attack! Go and move quickly but orderly"

Seemingly out of their shocked stupor the crowd begins to collectively gather in groups, beginning to move about, leaving their items of peculiar designs as they heed their lord's words to the fullest.

Arvin and Gwyndelin together with Annabeth and Mercer, understanding the dire situation at hand begin to organise the current fighting power they have.

Following suite some Mithril Armored Alvan Rangers begin to escort many of the civilians back to a safer place.

The Boy could be seen looking irritated by the situation as he was cut short from talking with Nimea Of Valhalla from the ball of communication.

He couldn't remember much about what occured before as the defining sound of the explosion seemed to make him forget about earlier, all he knew right now was they were being under attack.

'Damn it, this is crazy . . . I had a feeling that they would attack, but . . . are they out of their mind to attack NOW? out of all times?' Arvin disparaged his Twilight Cousins.

Suddenly his eyes widened towards the sky, as his pupils dilated brighter from the slight fear he felt, tugging her mother's sleeve he pointed it out in hopes that she would be able to do something about it.

And with the Alvans passive perception Gwyndelin managed to take a glimpse at the young Duke's direction, For their peace was soon interrupted by a wall of arrows blotting down towards their direction.

Seeing a finite amount of arrows suddenly pouring down towards their direction made the crowed asunder, panic stricken the crowds begin to run faster out of the area or scatter around.

Ducking for their lives on the nearby stalls or anything to cover them up with, some even shielding their loved ones as they await the storm of sharpened lead to pepper them into nothing but mists of red.

The Alvans Mithril Armored Rangers did the same, with no magical powers in their hands they could only shield the remaining children and women in hopes that their plates would stop its impending massacre.

"Gobikus Elektrosis" Gwyndelin and Mercer shouted in synchronisation.

before the hail of steel could befell upon them a shield made of powerful arcane magic immediately appears twenty five feet above the ground, and charges towards the incoming storm, disintegrating many of the arrows that would have killed most of them, leaving nothing but wooden shards on its path.

The fairy folk that were halted by extreme fear looming over them, opened their eyes once again, meeting the faces of their loved ones intact.

"Go! we got this!" Axel called out to them, telling his people that the will of his protection is strong and unwavering.

Understanding that they were protected by their guardians they stood up from their shooketh demeanor and continued to hurriedly scurry about to the safe haven of the ent ancients.

"Mercer go stay with Axel I'll be going with my boy and . . . Annabeth . . . " Gwyndelin paused decisively thinking.

"Yes my Lady?" Annabeth responded eager to await her commands.

"Smash" Gwyndelin commanded back.

A playful and wide grin spreads throught the features of the bear kin maid, her eyes gleamed with red light as her body morphs and shifts a bit to resemble that of a beast.

With her claws extending and her hair growing longer by the minute, changing her former height to that of a towering Sylvan She - Bear.

"ItS cLoBbErInG tImE ! ! !" the beast tian woman announced as she rans thirty five meters per second towards the north eastern sector of the festival to were the fire erupted.

Following behind are the Alvan Rangers in full Mithril Armor as they begin to search for their foes with decisive speeds of twenty-five meters per second.

They were only a few distance far ahead from the crowd when all the suddenly, Purple blurry figures dashed towards them coming from the same place as where the explosion took off.

Clashing the forest guardians straight ahead, as their purple Armor and steel blades meet, the battlefield voilently shook with crimson mist as the fighting begins to start.

Axel and Mercer where not idle as they immediately disappeared from their places, with Mercer teleporting in about, and Axel slowly integrating into the shadows on the ground.

"Arise my Shadows of Mordoom, for your Monarch has called for your aid once again" Axel mutters as he slinks down into nothing but a shadow vestige of his former self.

Gwyndelin gestures to Arvin as she clasps his hand and begins to skedaddled out of the occuring battlefield, following the crowd infront them.

Then out of thin air Five Adamantine Armored Blade Dancers Elite Alvans joined them together, seemingly startling Arvin for a moment, while Gwyndelin remained unfazed.

"My Liege the carriages and the evacuation transports is complete, I suggest we evacuate the entirety of the town's folk as well for I detect an abnormally large amount of creatures heading towards the duchy . . . " the muffled yet clear voice of the Alvan Royal Guards bellowed and informed Gwyndelin of the current situation at hand.

"Tsk, what the Liu, those bastards are bringing an entire Army just to catch us . . . what kind of creatures though are they, I think our men can handle them . . . and have you found general Puck yet?" Gwyndelin said seemingly bothered by the attacks planning and surrealism.

"My Liege they are Gnolls . . . and they don't seem to stop coming, we need you to get out of here right this instance as we currently can't find the general" The Red Capped Blade Singer responded seemingly distraught at the notion of fighting both Twilight Alvanis and Gnoll Hordes.

Hearing that there is a Gnoll horde coming to their way, Gwyndelin realised the significance of her enemies plans as they ought to take them down with sheer numbers alone, meaning that staying here to hold them off would be a bad idea.

"Alright that's good information we have to change our plans then" she says as she begins to cast thaumaturgy to increase her voice and begin speaking to the people in Axels place.

"Everybody change of plans, We need to get out of this place and into Galrandilron right this instance, pack your bags and rally at the docks within five minutes we don't have time, so move it!" Gwyndelin announced making many of the fairy folk immediately pack as much as they can to leave the once jolly filled duchy.

Magic seemed to fill the air as items begin to come out of Everybody's houses, coming to life as it begins to assort itself into a travelling bag for each family as they begin to leave the place they once called home.

Gwyndelin felt sorry for them as they have to abandon their homes, but knowing the decisions she's making for everyone, she couldn't help but put the blame on herself for being to weak to fight the monsters off.

Soon the former homes of these folk disappeared as their houses begin to fold into origami pieces, leaving nothing left but a dense weild that awaits destruction by the fierce Gnoll Hordes.

"All right let's move" Gwyndelin once again announced, and as soon as she said this a large explosion set off from the north east from where the main troops are standing ground, with a ethereal black dragon looming over and rising in the distance.

"They activated Axels trump cards already?" Gwyndelin exclaimed getting even more worried, for this situation seemed to be getting more out of hand by the minute.

Shaking her thoughts, she quickly arranges the marching order of her people as they begin to hurriedly get out of this place as the threat of destruction idles around in their minds.

Arvin became ever more frustrated as he was nothing more currently than a child with no weapons at hand but powerful magic that he could not use to the fullest.

And as they went on to the designated area of transportation the crowd couldn't help but slow down abruptly as the sounds of mocking laughter was heard infront of them.

"Halt, My Liege head to the western gates of Faerwood, then as you exit take the bridge of Dais Thasilas on the south west, our planning has been compromised . . . . . . GO NOW!" interupted another Blade Dancer as he appeared infront of them.

As soon as he said this the sound of battle could be heard up ahead as hyena like creatures appearing in swarms runs towards their general direction while confronting the Elite Blade Masters of the Alvan Continent.

Immediately as the Blade Master said that the Fairy folk shifted their former direction and headed towards the western gates in hopes of getting out of being cornered by their enemy.

A few minutes has passed and they arrived at the western gates leading outwards to the outskirts of Faerwood without any issues.

Seeing Everybody's shaken states, Arvin gently tugs at Gwyndelin to help the people get out of their anxious minds.

Understanding his gesturing towards them, Gwyndelin begins to try to calm everyone down, "All right I Know you are all sort of afraid of what's happening right now but we have to stay brave and get out of this situation together, But we can only do that if we are all composed, alright? does every body get what I mean?"

Understanding their leaders words, they nodded in agreement as they needed to be in the right mind set when in emergencies.

Breathing in a sigh of relief, Gwyndelin begins to further instruct the people as they head out of the magical gates.

"Alright just as he said we should follow in the direction towards dais Thasilas bridge, there we might meet our reinforcements if that's the case so we should . . . . . . "

*URHURHURH . . . HURHURHR . . . HAHAHA

Maniacal beast like laughter echoed near the lot of them, freezing Gwyndelin from her speech as fear slowly crepts down on all of them.

Rustling out of the undergrowth a large Seven foot tall ugly and deranged canine with spots of black and dark green fur appeared on their sights, standing up in bipedal legs, armored with boney hides and wielding a large spiky baton, the creature saunters out to them, ever so slowly.

Acidic drool seemed to seep out of its mouth as it begins to speak in this broken common language . . .

"Youer Srhouldr Havre srtayerd where you arre Princess . . . . .* Hcckk ~ It would Havre been much easierr for you to diee, RAAAAAHHHHRR" Finishing its dialogue it begins to charge towards them in a savage way scaring the lot of them, as more of those things begin to come out from a far.

*ARHARHARH HAHAHA

The people begin to run and scream in terror as they head towards the bridge in hopes of avoiding this menacing threat of ravagers out to feast on their flesh.

While the Alvan Rangers left to guard them started to shoot at the monsters in hopes of garnering their attention, away from the crowd of defenseless people.

Gwyndelin ran as fast as she could with Arvin in tow as they lead the crowd out of danger, not noticing that Arvin's eyes were glowing in luminous starlight.

Having enough of this, the ground behind them begin to shake as it terra forms around the place where the fighting was ensuing, startling both Alvan Rangers and Gnoll Reavers from the powerful magic

With the ground raising the Alvan Rangers to a higher position, while all of the enemies on a much lower level and singular pathway lining up further then normal.

Exhaustion washes all over Arvin, as he expends a lot of his magic reservoir without halting, He could have tried to destroy those creatures with his power, but some how it didn't let him, 'It didn't work' he muttered, the only thing he could do was elevate the rangers to a better position while slow down the incoming attackers.

Gwyndelin noticed this, and wanted to run with the others thanks to her son's efforts, but she realised something, as it needed to be done for in order to head to the capital safely they needed to destroy the monsters behind them and free the Alvan Rangers from their burden.

For the first defense has opted them too do so . . .
