The next morning Spring had been woken up by a loud bang. When she opened her eyes she saw Streak and Autumn looking out the window from the room she was in.
Autumn looked at her and put her finger over her mouth telling her to be quiet. Spring tiptoed over to them and looked out the window as well. Outside she had seen a man with what looked like a rifle. They all closed the curtains as they started to panic.
"Who is that?!" Spring softly shouted. But she had already realized that she was being loud.
"Ssh. I honestly have no idea."Streak whispered quietly as she looked at Autumn.
Autumn had thought for a moment then spoke. "I think I know who that is." She said quietly as she took a quick peek out the window.
Spring was shocked. There's a lot I don't know about Autumn. She claims to be my sister but she doesn't always act like one. She thought to herself.
For three minutes they sat in silence trying to come up with a plan or question to ask. But then Spring finally broke the silence.
"What do you know Autumn? We might be able to actually fight this guy if we have the right information." She said quietly looking at Autumn and Streak.
"Maybe. But this isn't just some random guy with a gun. He's a man that takes children to the care center. He's the one who put me in the care center. This man is evil. He is called the caretaker. The only way we're going to get through this life is to fight and try to win." Autumn said quietly.
Spring didn't understand why any of this was happening. Right now she could just be reading or finishing a book and thinking as every page got flipped. But instead, she's about to go face to face with a man that might just kill all of them in one shot.
"Is this really the only way out of this trap?" Spring asked Autumn quietly.
"Yes. You need to understand Spring that this world isn't the same as what you thought it would be." Autumn started.
Streak had opened her mouth to talk but Autumn had won the race to say the first word.
"In this world there's danger. Everyone's on their own weather they like it or not. You need to learn that and learn it fast." Autumn said quietly looked into Spring's eyes.
Spring wanted to win the argument but didn't want to save time for the caretaker to try anything to break in. "We need to try and at least survive the caretakers strength. I'm sure care takers don't just leave without something, and that something isn't good."
Everyone nodded and knew the plan to attack with all strength.
They all head outside knowing the plan. But before they could attack a boy with brown hair and pale skin came out of nowhere.
Spring had no idea who he was. But he was strong and had taken down the caretaker with only one hit. The caretaker fell to his knees and slowly collapsed.
Autumn walked over to the boy with anger in her eyes "We had him! We were ready to fight! I don't need you to save us!"
The boy smiled "Jeez Autumn. Take a chill pill. I saw you guys. You were nowhere near ready to fight a strong caretaker like this one. He would have killed you and Streak." He said.
The boy looked at Spring with wide eyes. "And who may this be?"
Spring walked up to him "I can't exactly say my name till you tell me yours. I can't tell a stranger some personal information such as my name." She said with a smile.
"Smart girl. My name is Jacob. I'm from the Earth Kingdom. I kind of have a checkered past and during my rebel day's I met this sweet girl Autumn. Who doesn't exactly seem so sweet now." He said glancing at Autumn.
Before Spring could introduce herself, Autumn stepped in "I'm sorry to mess up this...greeting or whatever you two are talking about. But why are you here Jacob?" Autumn said annoyed.
"Why do you think. I'm here to save you, Streak and this lovely lady here, and I don't remember getting any thank you from you Autumn. What happened to you? When I met you, you were more than kind and nice to me. Now, a few months later you seem cold heart'd. So how about you explain that to me while I sit here and listen." Jacob said with a serious tone.
Autumn was angry and couldn't believe the tone Jacob was giving. "You don't need to know anything. All you need to know is that you shouldn't have come here."
"Why? You going to kill me? You told me killing was wrong. And you couldn't even take me if you tried." He said with more anger in his voice.
"Just don't forget who your messing with Jacob." Autumn said, face to face with Jacob.
"If you think you can scare me, think again." Jacob said as he stood his ground against Autumn.
Spring had never seen Autumn this angry. She knew that Autumn always had her moments. But her tone had changed completely. Spring needed to do something about Autumn's angry instead of hiding in the shadows while Autumn acted like she was the boss around.
"Autumn how about you go inside and just chill out. You need to cool off because this is nothing worth yelling about." Spring said finally feeling the confidence to speak.
"And who said you could talk?" Autumn said looking at Spring.
"Let's get one thing clear here. I don't know who I am or who you think you are, claiming to be my sister. But I know if I had a sister, she would never speak to me that way. Or in any of the ways you've been speaking to me lately. So how about you go inside and sleep on it before I use my hand to put you in your place." Spring said with a serious tone.
Autumn was shocked. But had listened to the command that was given and went inside.
Spring felt a strength inside herself. She had not realized what she was feeling. But she had no idea that her true self was ready to come out into the open.
Spring and Jacob went inside of the Motel to speak to Autumn. But Spring's eyes were caught by a door that looked not like the others.
"How about you head upstairs. I'll be right behind you." She said without looking at him.
Jacob went upstairs.
Spring walked closer to the door and saw that it was cracked. She peeked through the door to find Streak on the phone.
Spring didn't want to interrupt. But once she started walking away. She heard Streaks voice.
"No. She doesn't know." Streak said quietly.
Whos she? Streak whispered to herself.
"No. She doesn't know that I made the car crash. She's too stupid to know." Streak said.
Spring was shocked. "What...did....she...say???"
