1 Isekai'd...I'm in the world of Kingdom?

"Ugh... my head hurts."

'Where am I? Whose body is this?. I remember taking my last breath on the hospital bed.'

'These broken memories in my head seems to be from the previous owner of this body.' *Huff... Huff...*

'So I Isekai'd!' 'Wow I used to read those novels and fan-fictions where the protagonists used to be transmigrated into another world , I never thought one day I would be in a similar situation.'

'This body's original name is Jizhong meaning the concentrated one. He owns a small farmland near the base of the mountain. He became an orphan one and a half years ago when his father passed away after a long period of illness. His mother had already died when he was five years old '

'He came to the forrest on the mountain to collect wood as usual but ventured farther where he encountered a wild boar and while running back down the mountain he slipped and hit his head in a nearby rock and fell unconscious. I came to be after that.'

'So this pulsing pain in my head is from hitting it on the rock, at least the wound had started clotting. '

Jizhong realized that the forrest he was currently in, is on the same mountain near the farmland.

'This is medieval era and the name of the country I am currently in is Qin. Let's first go down the mountain and out of this forrest, then I will analyze my situation clearly.'

When Jizhong finally emerged from the forrest he saw a land filled with wheat stalks and some further away in a clearing surrounded by a wooden fence was a wooden shack with a small hut near it. This is where Jizhong used to live and the surrounding area is the little farmland he owned. There was a small stream which passed near the mountain. He used to use water from this stream for irrigation and personal uses.

Moving near the stream he washed his wound by the water and drank a mouthful of it. For the first time since coming here he had the time to observe his body and see his reflection. He looked fairly decent with slightly tanned skin due to working on the farm , fairly sturdy built and nearly 5'7'' in height.

After moving inside the wooden shack Jizhong observed his surroundings and found that the inside of the shack was pretty ordinary with a cot on the side of the window and a small kitchen on the opposite side.

He moved to the kitchen to find something to apply on his wounds for faster healing.

He found turmeric pieces in a box so he made a paste out of it after slightly heating it and applied it to his wounds. Now that he was settled , he started to think more carefully about his situation.

He sat on the cot and started thinking about his previous life. He had a weak constitution since birth so he did not get to enjoy much time outside but since childhood he was fascinated by the stories of great archers and their exceptional archery from different regions of the world.

He would hear the amazing feats they could accomplish using their archery in the ancient classics, their precision, their speed , their unwavering focus , their infallibility of finding their targets and this would fill him with wonder and excitement. So he stared practicing archery since eleven years old and even dreamt of becoming a professional archer but due to his weak constitution he fell ill more often and felt very exhausted after practicing for a few hours.

By the time he was seventeen years old he got terminally ill and had to spend all his time at the hospital and he finally died when he was twenty years old.

"It doesn't matter anymore , I am Jizhong now and I will live my life fully and happily this time."

He has around two acres of land here to his name which is farmable which was passed to him by his father who himself got it from the administration due to performing fairly well in a conscription in his younger day. His father also used to do some small carpentering job on side of farming which he taught to his son, along with the harvest from the farm it was enough to sustain them both.

As he lived in a rural place he did not have much information about the exact time period he was in nor was he much knowledgeable about government across these lands or who the king was, as these information were hardly relevant in day to day life.

"I will go to the market tomorrow and gather more information about the place I'm in. "

The next morning he went inside the hut near the shack he resides in , there were few carpentering tools inside it. Jizhong used to make small wooden stools and cot frames with the wood he got from the forest and sell it at the market in the nearby village. He took the stools and tied them on his back and started making his way towards the market place.

Although the market was not very huge there was still hustle and bustle around the place. After selling the stools to a merchant he started looking around the place for merchants who travel across the land to do business.

He came to know that the capital city of Qin was known as Kanyou , and state of Qin recently crowned the new king after the previous one died, moreover this new king was hardly thirteen years of age at the time. The Chancellor of state was Ryo fui and he is very rich and well known friend of the former king and was a highly successful merchant known throughout the land.

These bits of information confirmed the vague suspicions he had about this world since coming here, from the bits of memories he retained from earlier.

He really was in the world of Kingdom as a citizen of the state of Qin. The current time was summer of the year 243 B.C.E that means there are around two years before the Sei Kyou's rebellion.

He has to decide whether he wants to get involved in the events of the future revolving the state of Qin or not. If he looks at his current situation objectively , he is clearly much better off than most orphans here as what his parents have left him is already self sufficient , he can live his life comfortably by current time's standard in peace without getting involved in the messes that will follow in the future. His home region is also fairly away from the borders of Qin , so the chances of it getting dragged in the wars is very minute so there is no need for him to get involved in the wars that will follow in a few years time. He has gotten no system or wishes to speak of which can help him achieve greatness here, so logically he shouldn't involve himself in the wars.

But is that what he really wants? Absolutely not. He had already made up his mind to live this life to the fullest, so by whatever coincidence he was brought to this world which he admired due to the various fierce warriors ,strategists and other important people around whom the ultimate fate of this world revolves , he will make the best out of it.

' I will take up my bow again and make my name resound throughout the land of China and my name will be etched in the annals of history as one of the greatest warriors to ever live.'

'As I have around two years before the rebellion, I will make the most out of it and train my body , mind and my archery skills as best as I could. ' with this thought in mind he left the market to back to his home.

To practice archery he would need a good bow, but he doesn't know of any place that sells good quality bows and arrows, so he decided to make one for himself. Although he used to practices archery in his previous life he had never before made a bow for himself.

Thankfully during his time in the hospital he used to watch many archery videos which included different types of bows from across the world and many of them showed how to make them too.

All of these have their various advantages and disadvantages but the Korean Gakgung bow made a special impression on him, it is fairly easy to make with the materials available to him and is a very flexible composite reflex bow made from bamboo. It was said that in 5th century the Korean archers used to shoot as far as 300 meters using this bow.

After spending his rest of his day gathering materials for the bow and arrow ,he was very exhausted both physically and mentally by the ordeals of the day and after eating some food , he readily fell asleep.
