5 Chapter 5

"Good morning sunshine!" A gruff voice rang into Kane's ears. He woke up to find Osborn smiling down at him. "No offense but I would have preferred to be woken up by a beautiful lady and not your ugly mug," Kane said to the man. "Ah, those words hurt me more than being punched by you" Osborn pretended to be hurt by Kane's words.

"Anyways what do you want Osborn?" He looked at the man curiously. "I have come to give you this map, sword, and some food so you could go out patroling today but looks like you already have a weapon. By the gods how do you fight with that thing? It looks entirely made of steel." Osborn was shocked by Kanes morning star. "I am stronger than you" Kane chuckled and took the food and map. "Thanks, Shaggy I will see you later," Kane said as he left while patting Osborn on the shoulder.

Kane added the map to his system map and looked at it while recalling the information he learned about his current location. The map had as much of the surrounding forest as possible with its huge size as well as where the Iron Rose Kingdom and other important places were.

The Iron Rose Kingdom is the closest kingdom to the camp. It is very small compared to the bigger kingdoms on the Kriotin Continent. It is also one of the kingdoms that are not ruled by a bigger empire. The only thing it has for it is its farmlands that sit behind a huge wall that covers the kingdom as well as the forest (Lonely Highland Woods) that is full of opportunities. The wall is as big as a skyscraper and thick as one as well. It is the only reason why the kingdom has not got to war in many years. Without that wall, they would probably have been conquered or destroyed long ago. No one knows where it came from just that it helps keep the kingdom alive.

The kingdom does trade with other places but it takes a while to get to those places and the journey is perilous. The Lonely Highland Woods surrounds the place and the bandit groups as well as monster tribes like to raid the traders. Sometimes wild beasts just attack and destroy everything. The forest has not been explored fully due to its dangers. The bandits that Kane joined were just a small speck but the perfect place to start his life in this world.

[I suggest that whenever the Host starts wars he does not attack the ones that are part of bigger empires as they are much stronger]

"I agree" Kane was walking the route that Osborn had laid out for him on the map. "I learned that this world has no limits and is filled with many magical things, people, and places. I will need to work hard to survive" Kane was cautious in this new world but he still couldn't wait to explore it and had high hopes to make it his. "Thank you Old Man Munch" Kane put his hands together in the way he had seen people pray before. He was grateful for the opportunity that the war god gave him.

While Kane was thinking of the shameless god that he met his senses suddenly warned him of danger. Quickly turning to his left he noticed a crude-looking spear flying toward him. He rolled out of its way while summoning the morning star from his inventory. There were 3 goblins snarling their ugly faces at him. They all held the same crude spears except for one which had a small stone knife. He was probably the one that threw the spear at Kane.

[Be careful Host]

"Don't worry BOT I would never lose to beginner village mobs!" He ran toward the goblins while raising his morning star. A spear was stabbed to his right but he dodged skillfully and brought the morning star down to smash open the skull of one goblin. Then used his strength to bring the morning star around to his side to hit the goblin that was about to stab him with its dagger. It hit the green monster in the side breaking not only the skin but bones too. You could blush gushing out and even a broken rib. It died after being hit. The last goblin looked afraid and would not move. Kane laughed while using the morning star again to hit the goblin into a pile of blood, flesh, and bones. The little creatures stood no chance against such a heavy and deadly weapon.

[Congratulations to the Host for leveling up. Reward: 200 shop points, Bow Basic skill book.]

Kane was happy with leveling up but before he could celebrate another great surprise happened.

[Congratulations the Host has learned the basic skill for the Morning Star.]

"This will make fighting much easier. I may be able to use this as a proper weapon now instead of just brute-forcing everything."

[Host is correct and you should remember that you will be able to use the weapon longer]

"That's great" Kane was smiling while he picked the new skill book that he got for a reward. "How do I learn this?"

[Host just needs to open it up to get the option. This skill book only gives you basic training. The normal weapon training in this world can teach you from basic to master. With the system you could learn one then after familiarizing yourself with it you can learn the next level.]

"I really need to get one of those training books so I can learn to master a weapon" Kane then opened the book to receive the system message.

[Does the Host wish to Learn the Basic Bow skill yes/no?]

"Yes"

[Congratulations the Host has learned the basic skill for the bow]

"Awsome now I can go hunting since the wood is not the best at camp and the system shops food is currently a waste of points" Kane clicked the system map and realized that he was near the goblin village. "No wonder I ran into some I am in their backyard. BOT should I see if the village has some good loot?"

[Goblins are weak but you should be careful if you attempt raiding the village. Goblin villages may have Hobgoblins and Goblin shamans.]

"Well, it looks like I should call for some help" Kane was excited because it was finally time to summon the first of hopefully many followers.
