Chapter 14

Kane had always found fire beautiful. Something about it always seemed to mesmerize him. He always loved danger and fire could definitely be dangerous. It could be relaxing and calm. Kane likes to live like fire where he could be brave, ferocious, and deadly but also relaxing, calm, comforting, and free.

The small fire that was currently resting in Kane's hand made him feel warm and energized. He was also ecstatic that he learned magic. Even if it was only beginner magic that could really only be used to start a fire.

He used all 500 of his points on this fire magic and most would probably say that it was a waste. But Kane knew that even if he only bought beginner magic he could practice to the limit to be able to expand his power and skill. Also, he had asked the bandits for old because he had an idea to be able to weaponize the weak magic. He would coat his weapon in oil and light a fire. This would increase the damage it could deal. Kane put all the oil in pouches so he could use it whenever he needs it.

The magic that he bought from the system shop was pretty OP. He did not need to buy any spells for this kind of fire magic because it could be used as a part of his body and using his imagination he could create anything with it. He did not need spells or anything like that. He just needs a whole lot of magic power. He was tempted to one day buy some spells for other types of magic or more magic in general but he could worry about that later.

Kane was using all his willpower to keep the fire going but it had already been an hour and he finally collapsed. His magic had increased by a lot which made him happy. He put on some clothes and was about to open his door when he heard some yelling his name. He opened his door to see Sandford running towards him.

"Kane we have company!" Sandford yelled. "What's going on?" asked Kane with a concerned expression on his face. "The Ruby Leopards are on their way here!" said Sandford. "Who are they?" asked Kane. "They are a rival bandit group," said Sanford. "They are famous enough that their group actually has a name." Kane couldn't help but laugh despite the situation due to Sandford's comment. It was true that they didn't have a name. Kane made a note to give this group a name. It would be the beginning of his future empire after all. "Ok, and why are they coming here?" asked Kane. "I don't know but it could either be a meeting between the groups or maybe we are going to have to fight these guys," said Sandford. "Either way let's head over to Dallin. He is preparing for their arrival" said Sandford before turning back to where he came from. Kane followed him while anticipating the meeting with The Ruby Leopards.

Dallin Scarface was furrowing his eyebrows. In front of him was a pretty woman with black hair and heavy make-up. She was wearing a red dress and had 2 infantry hangers. She had a chain attached to her arm on one side while on the other side was a leopard beast with a red coat and teeth as sharp as daggers. Behind her were many sleek-looking bandits in fur armor that always included leopard skin. They were armed with pikes and swords and had condescending looks plastered on their faces. The lady was smiling and although pretty it showed wickedness. The Leopard bandits outnumbered Dallin's group which made him worry for the future. After all, he knew why there were here and Dallin had a feeling he would not be able to talk his way out of this one. It's a shame he could not kill them as they were much stronger. He had no plan and would have to play it by ear.

"Dallin I think you know why we are here and what I want. I also think you should give it to me as it would be a shame to destroy everything you have worked for here" said the woman. She was called Lily the Leopard Queen. "I do not know what you mean? I have many things so which of those things could you possibly want?" said Dallin. He had to at least try to get out of this situation. "Do not play stupid with me!" said Lily. "I want those wargs you stole and you better give them to me!" Lily hated anyone who acted against her. She deserved everything and everyone should serve her. "The wargs? I am sorry but they are not for sale" said Dallin. Lily's face turned ugly and she snarled. She was about to order her men to kill these idiots when she saw a hooded man in a mask. He looked very mysterious and was holding a bow and arrow in his hand. Lily got a sense of danger from this stranger and she did not know why. Wasn't he just some random bandit? If only she could see the cold smile that was forming under the mask. Then she would really start sweating.

A killing intent started coming from the man and immediately Lily and her group felt their stomachs turn. They were the main targets of this aura and it was making them all sweat. Some of the weaker ones even trembled a little. "Hey beautiful you are looking very hot today!" said the man. Lily immediately forgot her fear and became outraged. "How dare you! I will feed you to my pet alive!" she hated any man who dared to have indecent thoughts about her because of this guy's comment she thought that he did too. She knew she was beautiful but she was too beautiful for any of these idiot bandits. Only a king could touch her. Well after he begged of course. It's a shame she did not realize that this comment was literal.

Dallin was worried when Kane came over and had no idea what his plan was. Was he crazy to say that to Lily? But Kane started laughing and that made Dallin more confused. "Sandford now!" yelled Kane as he suddenly became serious. The bandits on both sides looked confused until many clay bottles were thrown at the Leopard bandits. They shattered releasing oil all over them. Lily felt disgusted but before she could attack another surprise happened.

Kane had used his magic which shocked everyone. He used it to light an arrow on fire and shot it towards Lily. Immediately the leopard by her side blocked it but it landed on the huge puddle of oil that had formed under the bandit group. The whole group was set aflame and you could hear them howling in pain. Lily's screech was the worst. She felt pain, anger, and fear. "I WILL KILL YOU!!!" she said while she ran towards Kane along with the other bandits who could still put up with the flames. Dallin was shocked at this development but still commanded the bandits to cover Kane and kill off the surviving bandits. Kane was right though Lily really was hot.
