6 Chapter 6 : Black and White

Shin was thinking to himself "Why am I painted like I'm a bad guy. I only said be ready to Akashi and now I'm like a villain or something. That control freak, what the hell has he been saying to the others".

Shaking his head, Shin suddenly remembered someone whom he used to tease in Teiko.

SHIN: "How's Kise?" with a teasing smile he asked.

KUROKO: He freaked out at first asking when he heard you had returned. He even grabbed me and asked me to play with him at his school.

Shin laughed so hard even Seiren's members could hear him from afar.

SHIN: Ha ha ha I can't believe he's still haunted by that. Is he a kid? well maybe I overdid it a little.

KUROKO: Obviously, you kept on teasing him especially when it was only us 7 on practice. After that, he became traumatized by you. Well after a little bit of encouragement form Midorima he calm down and says that he cant wait to face you.

Shin could be seen by Seirin's members laughing so hard he was holding his stomach.

KAGAMI: What the hell's that guy laughing for?

KIYOSHI: Do you plan on playing him 1 on 1? Looks like you've been itching to play against that guy since you arrive.

KAGAMI: Yeah, I'd like to see what this guy has. Since this guy beat all those freaks when they where in Teiko.

HYUGA: Well, you better be careful with his fakes. Don't underestimate him, Give him your all from the start.

KAGAMI: I'm already aware of that. I plan to play him seriously right from the start. I will force him to show me everything he has. So if we play against him, we can prepare ourselves.

SHIN: "Say Kuroko? Should I play with your new light for a while? I think he wants to challenge me 1 on 1. I haven't really played for a while. I don't think I can win". a smirk could be seen on his lips.

KUROKO: I know you Shin, that smirk of yours always gives you away. Do I have to say your other nickname in Teiko? Always acting dumb while already scheming something. You can play with him if you want. Besides look at him, I doubt he will accept it if you just decline his challenge.

Hearing this, Shin's personality took a 180 degree turn with a vein showing on his head,

"Try saying it little ghost or I'll also tell your team your nickname. Wanna bet?" says Shin while still smirking facing Kuroko.

KUROKO: I was just joking Shin. You don't have to be serious you know. I don't want to turn into another Kise.

Shin then put his arm on Kuroko's shoulder telling him that it was also joke. Then proceeded to the gym where Kagami was waiting with Seirin's other members. As Shin was going back, Kuroko was muttering something only Shin could hear "GOM's Thick Faced Conman" while Shin also muttered "GOM's Phantom Midget".

Both of them suddenly walk faster as if they cant wait to get away from each other.

Seeing this, Kagami suddenly was confused as they saw both of them was acting different than earlier.

Arriving in front of them, with a serious look Shin then asked Kagami if he wanted a 1 on 1 or a 2 on 2.

To which Kagami answered " just 1 on 1, I want to see your strength up close".

"Okay then, same rules as before. Race to 11, 1 point inside the 3 point line and 2 points outside, ball changes hand when you miss a shot". Says Shin to Kagami.

Shin then turns to Riko, Kiyoshi and Hyuga and said " I'll trouble you guys for another game. I hope you dont mind".

The 3 of them answered at the same time that it was alright. Nodding at them, Shin then walks towards Kagami and asked "Who goes first?"

Kagami answered "You go first, you better be serious this time so we can have a good game".

"I'll try, be easy on me hot head" says Shin with a smirk on his face.

Both of them walked towards the court. Shin was positioned on top of the 3 point area in the middle. While Kagami was just below him getting ready to defend.

SHIN: Are you ready? I'll start now.

KAGAMI: Bring it on!

Shin was bouncing the ball on his left, Kagami was watching Shin closely preparing for his attack when Shin suddenly did a step back and shot the ball immediately in front of him. The only difference was that Shin was farther away from the 3 point line. A swish was heard after the shot, he then looked at Kagami and said "that's 2, my ball again right?"

Hyuga was furious thinking Kagami did not take his advice. "That damn block head. I clearly said to not underestimate his opponent but still ends up doing it" voicing out his frustation.

Izuki who was silent interjected "It's not that he was underestimating him captain, its just he couldn't see it that guys intention"

"What do you mean Izuki?" asked Hyuga.

Izuki then continued "You see when I was facing him earlier, I could see it clearly his intention to shoot if I don't contest. That's why I kept trying to block him, cause in my subconsciousness I believe he would no doubt score.

It was like a guessing game for me, when you choose a black or a white card . But now when his facing Kagami there wasn't any indication of it. That's why I said he can't see it."

KUROKO: "That's what special about Shin. In basketball as long as you keep on practicing, constantly playing against stronger opponents, you learn to develop how to read or predict your opponents movements when your defending.

But with Shin, He can turn his intentions off so the defender is on a guessing game. You didn't also expect it right captain? Your Barrier Jumper"

HYUGA: Yeah I was also shocked seeing that shot. Suddenly pulling off something like that at the start would definitely surprise anyone.

RIKO: Kuroko? There's something I want to ask?

KUROKO: What is it?

RIKO: Does he also have Kise's Perfect Copy?

KUROKO: "That I don't know. Kise also asked Shin about it if he has the Copy Ability when we we're in Teiko. But Shin would only say that Kise would have to beat him first to know the answer.

Shin never really gave an answer when asked about his talent. Akashi couldn't even understand what Shin is thinking when facing against him. The only thing that Akashi uncovered about Shin was what Izuki senpai said."

KIYOSHI: The Black and White Card huh? A pick your poison kind of thing.
