3 Chapter 3 : Playing Again
*Flashback*
After meeting Akashi, Shin proceeded to a shop buying instant ramen . He sat on a table just outside thinking about the time while he still was in Teiko.
"Maybe Akashi was right, I shouldnt have left. But if I did not quit, wouldnt I become another Aomine in the making? or worst I'll lose my gift.
If I had played, could I have prevented them from breaking apart?
Yeah, I could've prevented it. I can just beat them up and put them back to their senses.
But that comes with a price, I'll definitely lose my gift. I felt it, slowly getting bored with basketball.
I remember declining Captain Nijimura's offer, urging him to pick Akashi instead. He was fuming shouting at me. I just answered that wouldnt I become more of a coach?
I wanted to play, I just dont want to demoralize an opponet making them lose their spirit and confidence. But then it happened, which made me decide to quit.
Akashi became obsessed in winning that his other personality emerged. Someone who manipulated everything, a control freak.
He turned psycho and challenge me everytime he had a chance which I always declined. I could've just beat him but I was afraid the real Akashi would never return if that happened. His other personality would completely take over.
Well, Im glad Kuroko and Seirin defeated him, it turned out to be the best outcome for Akashi.
It was fun playing with them. I wonder how will i fare against them right now.
phew! Damn I shaking. I can't control my excitement.
Calm down! calm down!"
Opening a can of cola to drink, forcing himself to calm down
As Shin was drinking the cola, A tall young man about 187 cm riding a bike with short black hair and blue eyes was looking at him. The young man was looking like he was about to sleep when he noticed Shin.
He felt the aura around Shin prompting to look at him. He was wearing his school uniform but the blazer was just hanging around his shoulder.
He was wearing a basketball uniform underneath with a number 14 printed on it.
As he was looking, Shin suddenly noticed the young lad. Shin shouted immediately "watch out!" as he was heading straight to a tree.
The lad failed to avoid the tree and crashed. Shin immediately ran over and helped the young man.
SHIN: Are you alright? why arent you looking at where you'll going?
YOUNG MAN: Im okay
Shin was obviously bewildered by the young man's answer as he was seeing blood running in his face.
SHIN: You Sure?
YOUNG MAN: Yes
Shin then picked up the blazer that was on the ground and gave it to the young man. As he was looking at the lad, he noticed he was quite tall just 3 inches lower than him and is wearing a basketball jersey.
SHIN: Sho...Ru...?
"Are you guys alright?" shouted a passerby who saw what happened, interrupting Shin's about to say.
YOUNG MAN: Yes Im alright, I better get going. Thanks!
The young man rode the bike again and left, leaving Shin speechless.
SHIN: What a weird fella
**End Of Flashback**
Thinking about the lad Shin muttered "another one huh".
Smirking, Shin was excited about the lad he saw yesterday.
His hands were shaking at the possibility of that young lad to be like the others.
"I should hurry over to Seirin to look at what they're doing and decide from there" thought Shin.
Over at Seirin Hyuga and Riko where looking at the Seirin's player who were busy at practicing. While Izuki and Koganei are having a 1 on 1 to let Koganei develop more on his defense.
While Tsuchida and Furihita are going against Kawahara and Fukuda to improve more on basketball on the other side of the court.
Kiyoshi was sitting at the bench looking at the team's members as he was getting his knee ready to undergo surgery. He would be traveling to the USA for surgery in a couple of days.
"I guess i'll miss this atmosphere" thought Kiyoshi.
Riko was shouting at Koganei to focus and pressure Izuki more on defense. Hyuga on the other hand was supervising the 2 on 2 on the otherside.
Izuki was dribbling the ball on his left then suddenly crossed the ball to his right did a step back preparing for shot at the top of the 3 point arc in the center, back to where he started.
Koganei followed Izuki closely after his surprise by Izuki's crossover when he suddenly saw him getting far away and was at the 3 point area getting ready for a shot.
Koganei instinctively jumped hoping to bother Izuki after that he realize that it was only a fake. Seeing Koganei jumped Izuki immediately continued his dribble before touching the ball to his other hand and dribbled towards the hoop and layed it up.
"Clap! Clap! Clap! Wow(with a whistle)"
Hearing the sound of claps, everyone looked at where is it coming from and saw a tall young man with a short red hair slightly parted to the left of his eyes. He was standing at the door of the court with a backpack and was seen smiling.

Looking at the young man, Riko can't believe the numbers she was seeing on this guys body. A potential equal or higher than Kagami and the Generation of Miracles.
He was also slightly taller than Kiyoshi. Riko snapped back from his daze asked "Ahm who are you? What are you doing here?"
SHIN: Oh I came to look for Kuroko but I guess he wasnt here.
Kiyoshi thought to himself "I guess he's here to join the basketball club. It could be better if he joins so I can leave the team without worries."
"I guess Akashi already called them. Should I leave? I dont have any other plans today. That manipulative freak, oh i forgot he already returned to himself" muttering to himself.
"What school are you from?" asked Kiyoshi as he was walking towards Shin.
To which Shin only replied "I haven't decided yet". Turning to leave for he doesnt know what to do since Kuroko wasnt even there.
He suddenly asked Riko " Can I play here for a moment while waiting for Kuroko? I havent played for a quite some time now. If its alright?
Riko responded " Im sorry you're not a member of the basketball club"
To Shin's disappointment he sighs and said "its okay, I understand" and dropped his shoulder looking dejected.
Kiyoshi suddenly interrupted while looking at Shin preparing to leave and asked "You can. If you have your basketball gear on". While holding Riko's shoulder giving her a wink.
A bright smile followed by a loud "yes" coming from Shin who unzipped his bags showing his shoes, and basketball uniform with a nike logo on both the shirt and shorts.
Kiyoshi laughed seeing this and says "You were already expecting it. Didnt you?" to which Shin smiled and nodded.
Meanwhile Hyuga came to Kiyoshi and smacked his head telling him "Are you the captain or I'am?"
Kiyoshi touched his head says "That hurt you know?" while turning serious to Hyuga "just let him play so we can guage his ability. I doubt his ordinary judging by the fact he knows Kuroko. You know everyone around Kuroko is different right?"
Hyuga could only knod at this." Just this one time and never decide again alright?" Kiyoshi gave a thumbs up and a smile to Hyuga, who could only shake his head at Kiyoshi.
Shin returned to the court after changing his outfit. Warming up on the sides, He asked " So what will I play 3 vs 3 or 1 on 1?"
Seeing this Riko was surprised about what she's seeing "His potential is really off the charts" muttering to herself.
RIKO: You'll be playing 1 on 1 first. So who do you want to play against?
SHIN: "Can I play against him?" pointing towards Izuki "I feel he's different".
Hearing this Izuki was shocked thinking about if this guy knows his ability. "okay" answered Izuki.
Shin's hand was shaking with excitement.
SHIN: Race to 11. The ball changes hands if you miss your shot. Other than that the rules stay the same. So Who goes first?
