18 Chapter 17 : Why the Nickname

Nash: Yo! What was that?

Shin: What? I just played a little bit. I got a little mad sorry about that.

Nash: Not about that. Didnt expect you would play well against those guys. No! you played too well. I saw it too man those moves, plus playing dirty against them. I was not expecting that. Thought you were just gonna stay to side. Damn?! Hey!Jason? We got a really good player we can easily make money next time if he plays with us.

Jason: Yeah! Dude you are a beast! We can play together next time and make quick bucks, easy money! I'm excited thinking about it. How about a 1 on 1 against me? Let's see who's stronger. Ouch! my back.

Shin: Calm down you monkey! Stop getting excited and moving too much. You have to get yourself checked first so you know if you're injured or not. Plus, I didn't say anything about playing with you guys. Don't expect too much from me.

Jason: You! Who are you calling a monkey? No need to think about my back. I will be healed tomorrow it's just a scratch. Dare to accept my challenge? We can do it right now.

With a smile Shin answered Jason.

Shin: I'm talking about you. Who else? Nash told me about you're Godly nickname. Was it Silvered Haired Monkey or Gorilla Nash?

Nash was dumbfounded when Shin shifted the blame to him. Jason was looking at him like he was gonna pounce on him.

Nash: huh? Hey! Jason I didn't say anything. Come on Shin! Don't do that, I thought we would be friends right now.

Shin was laughing when he heard Nash's response.

Shin: You clearly said it. When you passed me the ball after we switched opponents. It was him Jason. I didnt even asked about it. But to be honest its a godly nickname no one would imitate it. You should patent it so no one can use it, except you.

Jason's face was so red he looked at Nash menacingly and a vein could be seen on his forehead. Nash could only respond,

Nash: F**k Y** Shin!

Shin then put his two arms on both Nash and Jason and said

Shin: Alright! I was just kidding you two we're friends now right? Wait for a sec I gotta shake our opponents hands first. I'll be back.

While laughing Shin thenwent to their oppenents to shake their hands. But their opponents were looking at him warily. The big guy that was guarding Jason quickly stood infront of Shin and ask

What do you want?! But strangely he noticed that Shin's demeanor was different from they were playing, it was like a different person. Shin's demeanor right now was like a normal kid that can be easily bullied and appears to be tired. When Shin arrived infront of the guy he bowed and said

Shin: I'm sorry I got carried away. My name is Shin. It was a pretty good game. You guys were strong man. I had to use my strength I'm a little worn out right now. Then he motioned his hand to shake the guy infront of him.

In a daze, the guy shook Shin's hand and answered. "It was alright, no need for apologies. It was part of the game. You were also pretty good yourself. Let's play again next time. We can also team up nect time.My name is Max, and these two behind me are Johnny and Andrew". Shin then greeted them and said

Shin: Nice to meet you guys. Again I'm sorry and I hope we can play again next time. Thank you for the game.

The two guys could only nod and said "no problem, no need for apologies".

While Shin was talking to them, Jason and Nash were talking about what happened between the 3 of them.

Nash: Jason? You noticed something?

Jason: What?

Nash: Idiot! You haven't noticed Shin was already joking with us. It was like we already aknowledge him as 1 of us when we only knew him a while ago. Plus, aren't you curious about when he played he suddenly changed to like a different person?

Jason: Now that I think about it. Yeah it is weird. I also felt it that time speed, plus incredible display of strength and that shot. Heck I didnt even notice him when he ran to the 3 point arc after his pass to you.

Nash: Yeah! that shot was like a maxed stat on 2k. Damn! Thinking about it that form of shot was so perfect till his release I doubt he would even miss it. To tell you the truth, I didnt say silver haired monkey literally. It was only on my mind cause I know you were feeling your back from that fall. So I kept looking at you first before making a move when he arrived behind me.

Jason: Stop with that b*llsh*t. You're telling me he read your mind or something?

Nash: Yeah Really! I was just thinking about it. But somehow he knew whats on my mind.

Jason: I dont care what the f*ck you say. Its the same as telling him.

Jason then jokingly choked Nash on his arms and quickly dragged him to their teammate who injured his ankle.

Jason: Yo Brad we won. You saw that right? we made money this time.

Brad was the name of their injured teammate.

Brad: Yeah! I saw it! Who was that kid? That kid is probably a monster than both of you. I was shocked when that kid made his move. He suddenly looked like a different person out there.

Nash: That was Shin,Its also the first time we met him. I didnt know he was that good. We only asked him to replace you so we could continue the game. Never would I thought he was that good.

Brad: No point thinking about it. We won and made money. Let's asked him to play with us next time.

Nash and Jason was thinking about how much money they would make with Shin joining them.

Meanwhile Shin was still talking to Max.

Shin: Max again Im sorry. Let's play again next time if Im around. See you guys around Johnny, Andrew thanks.

Shin then left to go to where Jason and Nash is.

Max: That Kid is weird.

Johnny: You said it.

Andrew: We were mad and wary just a moment ago. How can we get mad like that when that kid suddenly changed personality and be respectful and praise us. Cunning Kid.

Max Suddenly laugh at both them not telling them he was also feeling the same.

Max: Yeah! nothing we can do about it. We probably wouldnt win against that kid. He's stronger than me. And I can still feel my hand stinging from that swipe he made after I grabbed his shirt.

Andrew: Your kidding right? your bigger than that kid plus I think we can easily gang up on him.

Max: No Im not kidding. You can say that right now cause how different he is when he approached us. But when we were playing. I doubt you could say that.

Andrew: Yeah I know. That kid swung his elbow at me when he faked a shot outside. If i havent payed attention I wouldve bleed from my brows right now. When he looked at me I was scared sh*t those eyes was so different from now. Forget it.

(I guess they didnt know Shin's nickname) :-)
