4 Determination

Looking at people around him,children playing with their fathers in the park, children begging their mother for candy with the mother finally giving in to their child to buy them candy.

With all these happy families shoving their happiness into his face,Tate felt a great amount of envy and anger directed at them.

Moreover being in this situation,started to give Tate a feeling of pressure on his head.His head is pulsing with pain,being in so much pain released a painful groan.To escape this pain,he kept running and running.

At this moment,flashbacks flashed into his head.

Three years ago,in his father's study

'I will kick him out when he turns 10'

These words keep ringing into his ears.

Tate just suddenly stops in the middle of the road.

He just had a sudden realization,his father never planned to give him a chance,even if had a sudden spike in strength into initial 2nd stage which is better than all of his peers.His father wouldn't even bat an eye at his direction.

With this sudden realization,Tate almost started to break down crying in the middle of the street.

Before he had the opportunity to do so,he felt a hand tapping his shoulder.Raising his head,he saw Mr.lu who taught him everything he knew about fighting,leading and life in general.Seeing Mr.lu with the same benign smile on his face,it gave Tate a sense of calmness that blocked the surroundings.

"Child,come with me to the restaurant to have a little chat."said Mr.lu

Tate nodded at Mr.lu and followed Mr.lu to a restaurant.

This restaurant has a simple and elegant design,glass windows plastered on to the wall to give a great view,white wall with no blemishes and scented candles lighted that gave the restaurant a clean smell.

A waitress came up and bowed,asked Mr.lu

"Where would you like sit sir?"

"Take me to a private suite"

"Yes,sir.Please follow me."

While following Mr.lu to a private suite,Tate was looking at the decorations in awe,Tate rarely went out of the manor,spending his time training.It was a really eye-opening experience,it would seem there are more to this world other than training.

Arriving at the private suite,Mr.lu lead Tate in and told him to sit down.

Mr.lu look at Tate eyes trying to determine something.Tate's eyes was filled with sadness,anger with a hint of determination deep in his yellow eyes.

"Tate,you want to be stronger?"

Tate nodded with determination

"Why?"Mr.lu asked with a smile.

"I want to show my father that he is wrong to abandon me.I will do everything he did but better."said Tate.

"Wow,what strong determination.You do know your father achievements are hard to beat, right?He became the youngest general at the age of 21 and gained high authority in court at the age of 27.He has pushed back 5000 enemies hiding in ambush with only 800 soldiers."said Mr.lu.

"Plus it's really nice that you weren't swallowed by sadness.Your father would be really proud of you if he knew."he added.

"Father would never be proud of me."said Tate in sadness.

"Sigh,your father has his own troubles as well.He can't tell you at the moment but this situation must stay like this for the time being."said Mr.lu while stroking Tate's head.

"If you do want to show your father your determination to show him that his wrong.Joining the army is the best and fastest possible way to get to the top."

"But Mr.lu,how can I join the army when I'm only ten years old."asked Tate.

"Oh,don't worry.The fish has taken the bait and you just need to wait.In the meantime,why don't you go look around city to explore it more.You have not gone out much,the outside world changed a lot.Here is some allowance from me."said Mr.lu as he gave Tate a bag full of silver coins.
