113 Yun Shang and Moon Slaughter.

Arifureta Universe.

In a great Japanese-style mansion, the sound of people rushing in and out could be heard. Many people of all ages, mostly above teenage and below 50, could be seen running in and out with loads of papers in their hands.

Even an idiot could tell that they were busy with something.

Inside the main office of the mansion, a young man that looked to be in his 20's was sitting behind the piles of papers, waiting to be sorted out.

His silver eyes – filled with grievance because of the papers – synchronizing it over and over.

Finally finishing the final paperwork of today, the young man throws them at the side of the table. A groan of misery left his mouth as he slumped back at the chair.

Letting his neck rest at the back of chair, his eyes fell upon the ceiling of the office – something that he has been seeing since the time he took his current post.

"…Ugh…I want to take a break…" A slightly annoyed voice left his mouth as his mind wanders to the time he first met his savior and currently known as his employer.

Remembering his past, which seems to amuse the young man as to how childish he was – a chuckled left his mouth.

"It's all that damned Wang Lei's fault! Dammit! What prestigious job?! It's the same as me being a government slave!"

Shaking his head to remove the resentment he was feeling towards his employer, the young man's eyes fell back on the hateful mountain of papers. He wondered if he will be freed from his 'imprisonment' soon enough or not.

"In the first place, why the fuck am I doing all the work when he is enjoying his time with his wives? He even took the only other Vice-Guild Leader, and now I am left to take care of the whole massive organization that has fucking two worlds under it!"

Throwing his fit, a sigh left his mouth, deflating all his anger as if never existed.

"System! Get me connected with Guild Master." He said, seemingly to no one.

[Ding! Commencing a call with Guild Master!]

Soon, the young man could hear a mechanical voice reverberate inside his head – informing him that his call was being connected.

"Yo! Little Hajime! How have you been?" A lazy voice was heard through the other side of the communication, making a tick mark appear on the young man – Hajime.

"How have I been? Why don't you ask that question to yourself and think how I've been? I mean, at this point I should be calling you Little Wang Lei since, basically, I am the only one taking care of the guild that you have created!" Hajime's voice rose to another level, informing his employer of his grievance.

"…" The other side seems to go silent for some time as if contemplating something.

After what seems to be five minutes, Wang Lei spoke, "…So, you want a break?"

Hearing it, Hajime angrily stood up from his chair – making it fall – and particularly yelled, shaking the interior of the office, "Break?! I don't want something that will only end up increasing my work after! I want a hand! Someone to share my burden!"

"…Then you should check tinder or something, why call me? Did you got tired of Kaori?" The young dragon asked with disappointment laced in his voice.

Hajime was at the breaking point of destroying everything around him, one could already see cracks appearing everywhere as the energy of the Divine Soul Realm engulfed the whole mansion.

People who were working or people who were visiting seemed to have a hard time breathing as most were already on their knees due to sheer pressure that was pressing them.

"I.AM.NOT.IN.THE.MOOD.OF.JOKES!!!" Hajime yelled at top of his lungs. At this point, he did not care and wanted to smack the head of Wang Lei with all his might.

"Hai~, calm down man, I get it. You want another Vice-Guild Leader to work with, right? Right now, I cannot send Cang Yue as I am spending my time with her…" with a slight pause in his voice, Wang Lei spoke, "How about this? Why don't you come to my place? We can go to another world to get a Vice-Guild Leader who can work with you."

Hajime seems to calm down as he heard Wang Lei speaking. After thinking for a while, he nodded and replied, "Alright. I will be at your place in a day."

"Great! Then I will be waiting. Also, if you really want your 'burden' to be relived, you should try it out…you know what I mean, righ-"

Getting annoyed, Hajime cut the call as he again slumped back at his chair.

'Dammit…I should not have accepted his offer back then…" Thought Hajime as his eyelids fall, indicating that he has fallen asleep.

---

Before the time when Wang Lei left for God Realm.

At the summit of a giant mountain near the Floating Cloud City, a man – looking to be in his early twenties, with lustrous long silky black hair – was laying on the ground wasted.

Many bottles that seem to be of alcohol of some kind were littering around him as the man slept soundly.

His snoring could be heard by the nearby beast, but, strangely, none dared to go towards the man as if afraid of dying.

With a gentle rustle of the wind, shaking nearby leaves, the man groaned.

"…Ugh…what is with my head… it hurts like hell." The man said, gripping his head tightly as he rolled on the ground, hitting the bottles of alcohol laid beside him.

After gripping his head for some time, he finally left it and sat on the ground, ruffling his messy hair.

"Ah~, that really was the best alcohol I have drunk since the time of birth. Damn! I wonder where did master got his hands on such heavenly stuff." The man thought, remembering the taste of the alcohol called <Ambrosia>. He could not help but sigh at the effect of the drink. He was a Primordial Entity that was free of all constraints of the world, and yet this drink seems to bound him.

'sigh~, anyway…I think I should go and check the devil region now.' The man – Moon Slaughter – thought before standing up and vanishing from his place.

---

After traveling for a week, Moon Slaughter finally made it to the Northern Devil Region. He could not help but feel sad at the destiny of his brethren and their descendants.

In the past, half of God Realm was under their control and now, it does not even compare to the other Divine Regions in its size.

Moon Slaughter sighed as his eyes narrowed. His gaze becomes profound as if to tear any and all secrets of the world.

After taking a close to everything, he started to fly inside the black miasma that was covering the whole Northern Divine Region.

If it was another person, his cultivation would have decreased, and his body would have started to get affected by the dense, Dark Profound Energy. But that was not the case with this Primordial Devil that kept going without any form of hindrance.

As he was flying, Moon Slaughter's eyes fell upon a woman, who was carrying a girl – seemed to be of 7-8 – in her hands. She seems to be running from something, evident from the grave wound on her chest.

Moon Slaughter stooped and gazed at them with interest. He did not know why he did that, but he just had the feeling of doing it. Maybe he was bored?

He saw as two-man followed after the woman and intercepted her, stopping her from running. The woman looked towards them with a fierce look as if to devour them alive and yelled, "Stay away from me! If you even come closer to me, I will make sure to kill you all at expense of my life!"

The man sneered seeing the woman's last struggle, "Give it up, Yun Ling Xing! Do you really think that you can kill us with your meager Divine King Realm Cultivation?"

The woman, Ling Xing, grimaced hearing him since it was the truth. She was too weak, not only in strength but also because of her injuries. If she was in her prime, then there might be a chance that she would able to run away – she could tell that her body would not last long, and she would die. She at least wanted to save her daughter.

"Sniff*…Mother…I am scared…" The woman looked at her scared daughter's pale face; she felt her heart bleed, seeing her daughter. She has already lost her husband by these people's hands, and she knew that she would not live long.

Ling Xing could only grit her teeth in pain and sorrow that her heartfelt; the hopelessness was taking over her as she watched the man walking towards her with a grin plastered on his hateful face.

Just when the man was about to touch her, "Eh?" he looked dumbfounded as if not able to perceive what was happening to him. All he saw that a man standing before him, gripping his hand – before he could think anything, Moon Slaughter jerked his hand off his body, resulting in a fountain of blood.

"Eh…aaaaaaaaa!!" the person, whose hand was pulled out, shouted hysterically. "My…My hand!" he yelled as he rolled on the ground in pain.

The other person was startled by the sudden development. He looked towards the Moon Slaughter and bellowed, "Ignorant fool! Do you even know who you are protecting?! She is a member of the Yun Clan, the clan of traitors! And you dared to attack us, members of Thousand Desolation Realm, for the traitors!"

Moon Slaughter looked towards him and sneered, "Thousand Desolation Realm? What is that? I've never heard of it."

"You?! You're saying that you have never heard of Thousand Desolation Realm? One of the High-Rank Star Realm?!"

"Whether it is thousand or hundred, none of it matters to me. I will give you a chance, leave. Or I will make a mince meatball out of you." Moon Slaughter said, but then he felt a sudden chill when he talked about making meatballs. He wondered if it was his imagination as he never felt such chill, not even from his master, Wang Lei.

The person, who was rolling on the ground in the agony of losing his arm, finally seemed to calm down. With his face full of sweat, he looked towards Moon Slaughter with a deathly glare, "You fucking bastard! I will kill you!" He shouted.

Moon Slaughter looked towards him and smirked. The man felt a chill running down his spine, but before he could do anything, he saw a palm covering his vision and seems to come closer.

Moon Slaughter gripped his face and grinned manically. Tightening his grip, he slowly increased his strength and ripped the head with spine attacked out of his body. Blood gushed out of his headless and spineless body, dying Moon Slaughter in it.

"Hehehahahahahhahaheheahhahah!" He started to laugh loudly.

'How long has it been? How long has it been since I have killed and dyed myself in my enemy's blood?' he thought but did not stop laughing.

The other person, who was left, staggered backward and falling on his butt. He fearfully looked at Moon Slaughter when he saw his dark abyssal eyes gazing at him. The man becomes so afraid that he pissed his pants.

Seeing it, Moon Slaughter's face turn into disgust as he said, "Get the fuck out of here! Trash!"

The man did not think for a second before running back to his sect. He was just too afraid of Moon Slaughter.

When the other man was gone, Moon Slaughter looked back at the woman. Her face was filled with shock and fear. She took two or three fearful back-step before asking, "Who are you?"

Looking at the woman, Moon Slaughter did not know what to say. He saved her on his wimp…or was it? He, himself, did not know. He just thought he should save them.

Shaking his head, Moon Slaughter turn around and started to leave.

He hasn't even taken five steps when the woman's voice was heard behind him, "Wait! Please, wait!"

Stopping, Moon Slaughter looked at the woman confusedly.

The woman looked at Moon Slaughter for some time before she walked towards him with weak steps. Reaching in front of him, she fell to her knees and said, "Please…please take care of my daughter. I beg you…" Her pleading voice was the only thing that could be heard in the surroundings. He eyes full with her tears as it wet her face.

"…" Moon Slaughter becomes silent. He did not know what to say at this moment as it was the first time for him.

"Please…I don't have much to live…my daughter is still a child…she cannot live without someone's protection. You do not have to take care of her…just until she has grown stronger enough to protect herself…" Ling Xing continues pleading for her daughter whose eyes were swollen due to crying so much.

All she could do right now was hug her mother as tight as she could. Even though she was only 9, her mind was developed enough for her to understand that her mother will die soon.

She felt her heart shattered but still stayed firm. She did not want her mother to worry about her, even in her last breath. She wanted to show her that she has grown and that she does not have to worry about herself.

After a couple of minutes, Moon Slaughter sighed, "Very Well. I will take care of her."

Ling Xing's eyes glowed with happiness and gratitude. She looked at her daughter, who had her eyes close and had her teeth tightly clenched as not to let a voice out. Ling Xing could not help but tear up. She knew it would be the last time she would see her daughter. She could feel her consciousness slipping away.

She hugged her daughter tightly before saying in her ears, "Shang'er. You have to stay strong, okay? Don't let others decide your fate. Become strong enough to path your own destiny rather than let others control it…also forgive mother as she cannot see you growing up…and…becoming a fine woman…I just hope that the choices that you make in your life…will not hunt you back…" The woman spoke. Her voice fading at the end as her body fell down beside her sobbing daughter.

Yun Shang had her fist clenched tightly. She did not let any voice left her mouth, silently watching the dead body of her mother. Tears fell from her eyes, but she did not cry.

Suddenly, she felt a hand on her head and heard the voice of a man, "If you want to cry, then cry. She is already gone. No need to act tough as it will only get worse if you bottled up your feelings."

The voice seems to be the last straw holding her before she burst into tears. Her cries could be heard as she loudly wailed beside the body of her now-dead mother.

Moon Slaughter silently watched, 'I have become soft? No, is it because master changed my bloodline and it is less violent now?' he thought.

After what seemed to be an eternity for the girl, Moon Slaughter said, "Let's go. I will bury her. After that, we will resume our journey."

Yun Shang nodded weakly and followed after Moon Slaughter, who buried the woman. He was wondering whether he preserved her body and ask his master to revive her. 'What am I thinking? Why would I want this woman to be revived?' Though these questions plunged his mind, Moon Slaughter silently buried the woman.

A couple of minutes later, he said to Yun Shang, "Let's go…and if you want to revenge your mother, then I will train you. Whether you can become stronger or not, depends on your own efforts."

Yun Shang's eyes glowed with determination as she yelled, "Yes, Master!"

Moon Slaughter raised his brow but did not say anything and kept walking before vanishing with the girl. Who knew what the future hold for them.

(A/N: As you guys already know, there is going to be another world arc soon. And yes, it is going to be a DxD arc. I just started re-reading the novel as I have forgotten most of the plot of the anime.

I will try to write an orgy (?) with Wang Lei's current harem before starting the next arc.

Anyways, thank you to everyone that is still reading this FF of mine. I really appreciate you and your support for this book. I might not upload chapters every day for a weak since I have two fucking presentations to do tomorrow – Friday being the deadline! And I am also reading DxD novel.

If you have any suggestion, do not mind writing them down. Don't worry, I read every comment. I may not reply to every comment though. Don't take it to the heart.

Again, Thanks for reading this FF of mine. I honestly never thought I would write this long. As I was thinking of finishing it within 100 chaps. Hahaha!)
