13 Chapter 13 - Elizabeth

0000, 12 am....

Sound of squeaking doors started to be heard, Ciel's eyes widened the moment he sees Elizabeth walking out of the room, carrying to what it seems, one of the most precious people in his life, his child.

"So, dear, what shall we name him?" Elizabeth smiled weakly as she asked, she can't express how happy she is, that she can't stop smiling.

"Then, let's name her Azazel, Azazel Celize Phantomhive." Ciel carefully took and carried the child across his arms, he swayed slowly and carefully, "So, this is what Alexander is talking about."

"What do you mean?" Elizabeth asked.

"He wants a child to have both parents, since Alex is the only parent Azuria had." Ciel told her, he remembers the exact words Alex said.

"That sounds..." Elizabeth thought of a word that suits, "well, Bad."

"I know, so, let us protect what we have, understand?" Ciel asked and smiled sincerely.

"Of course." Elizabeth smiled back at him, "Well, please tell this to Alex, I'll rest first." Elizabeth gave Azazel to Ciel and started walking a bit unsteady, Ciel wanted to help, but looks like she can manage.

"Yes, please rest, after all you've went through." Ciel added just before she got in.

"Mi'lord, what do you want to do now?" Sebastian bowed as he asked, his voice is a bit pissed.

"What seems to be the problem?" Ciel got his eyebrow rose, thinking that he got something up in his sleeve again.

"It's Yvette, Mi'lord." Sebastian held his hand tight, "she is so mad, she started wrecking things near the Estate." Sebastian stated.

"Well, why don't you stop her?!" Ciel angrily whispered, he tries not to shout, or the baby might wake up.

"I tried, but it is no use, she kept shut and continues to make havoc." Sebastian replied.

"Well, I'm gonna hurry to Alex, he might stop her-"

"There is no need Mr. Phantomhive, it's over." Alex appeared in front of them, holding Yvette on her head, "It's just that she is too noisy, please take good care of her for now on." Alex started approaching Ciel, he looked at the baby and smiled, "Wow, what a beautiful one."

"Hm..." Ciel smiled a bit too, "Indeed, we named her, Azazel."

"Azazel, a name of a Duke in Hell, not bad." Alex smirked, he is happy for him, so he didn't mind, "Well, please take good care of her, oh and by the way-"

Alex reached the end of the Hallway and looked back to face Ciel, "Don't let Yvette lose control, understand?" He just stood there and waits for an answer.

"Yes, yes, I understand." Ciel replied quickly, "well, let's talk later, okay?"

Alex smiled a bit, "sure." Alex replied and left.

A moment after Alex left, Ciel turned around and faced Sebastian, he looked at his face and from what it looks, he is a bit distressed. "What's wrong?" Ciel asked.

"Nothing Mi'lord, it's just about Yvette." Sebastian replied, he took Yvette to her room, he carefully carried her head first then carried the rest of the body. "Let me take care of her, will you allow that?" Sebastian smiled as he asked.

"Do whatever you want, just keep an eye on that demon. I don't want any more troubles for Alex." Ciel stated, with a bit of an angry tone.

"Very well, I'll see you later then Mi'lord." He smiled again and closed the door, he closed it with a bit of force, causing a slight bang.

"What's wrong with him." Ciel got pissed, as soon as he looks at a window, he realized, there is no time for being grumpy, he started walking towards Alex's Study, where he is suppose to see him, "well, I gotta go."

"What should I do with this?" Elizabeth told herself, she took off the skull that's attached to the sitting body, it's the body of Fuschia. It's head rot into a skull, going down, the neck part rot less, some nerves we still attached, until down to the abdomen, it isn't rotten at all, it's like a new dead person. Elizabeth smiled and opened the window, as soon as she was done opening she began carrying the corpse, it is pretty light, the surprisingly light weight made Elizabeth remember the times she was young with Ciel, she was always carried by different people, Sebastian, Ciel's slaves, and Ciel himself. It came to her thinking what was her weight back then. As she jumps out and from tree to tree, and finding a suitable place for her to bury the corpse, she asked herself, was she heavy? She kept on asking herself about her weight, until she found a place. It's just near the Manor, exactly behind a small hut on the northwest from the Manor.

A drop of sweat dropped as a single scoop of soil flew in the air and landed behind Elizabeth. She isn't used to this kind of work, she knew she'll look bad, her skin might wrinkle, her nails might get dirty and her clothes, and everything else that might ruin her beloved face. So she dug as quick as possible. She kept on looking around for people which might see her, she has this tingling feeling that someone is watching, for every grain of soil piling up, her tingling feeling worsens. Until, finally, she was done. She quickly laid the corpse properly, she arranged its hands, and straightened its legs. She covered it back up as soon as she was done arranging the corpse, and again, she kept on looking out. Trying to be quiet as possible, it still makes these scratchy sounds every time she scoops up soil. It kept on until Fuschia's corpse can no longer be seen.

"Thank goodness." Elizabeth wiped her sweat off, relieved that she's done burying a body, she looked around the hut and saw a little faucet. She felt all gross and dirty, so she decided to wash her face and hands, there's a little bottle of soap. She took a drop and scrubbed on her hands, rinsed it, took another drop and this time, scrubbed her face. She sighed out of this feeling of relief that no person saw her and felt better after washing. Elizabeth looked at the grave and from what it seems, it is pretty obvious that something's underneath, since there's a small hill bulged up, this made her a bit disappointed, guess there's more work to do.

"Need help?" Elizabeth stopped stepping on the hill and started sweating a bit as she heard those words. Although, it rather sounds familiar, it's someone from the Manor.

"You're-?" Elizabeth turned around and saw the face, she sighed again in relief that he wasn't a stranger, "thank goodness it's just you, Mr. Baltazar."

Alex smiled, "of course, I keep watch on every place near my Manor." His smile turned into a grin, "and it seems like you're trying to put me in trouble by putting that corpse there."

"Oh~, I'm sorry, I just need a place where it seems safe to bury." Elizabeth laughed nervously as she tries to lighten the atmosphere, "perhaps help me find a proper place?"

Alex sighed, his grin went upside down into a frown, "Fine, come here, stand next to me." Alex waved his hand signalling to come. Elizabeth ran and went beside him, she feels a bit awkward at how close she is at him. She looked at Alex's hands, and saw that it was strangely shining, it's showing of dark colors, ranging from black, red, until to Purple. The huge hill forcefully flattens, forming with the Earth and grass quickly grew as Alex snapped his glowing hands, from a shocking view, Elizabeth became a bit surprised on what happened, while Alex, he looks so bored like this isn't a new experience.

"That-, that is pretty amazing." Elizabeth still got her eyes wide and kept on looking on that spot, she got a smile out of the happening she witnessed, she finally looked at Alex, "how did you do that?"

"I don't know." Alex smiled and shrugged, he also looked around as what Elizabeth did earlier, he as well didn't want people to see. As soon as he found out that nothing is watching them, he turned around and faced the way back to the Manor, he stopped walking Midway, he turned his head at the point where he can barely see her, "Not coming?"

Elizabeth spaced out a bit, a second she heard Alex, she snapped out of it and answered right away, "ah yes, coming."

"That's good to hear." Alex smiled gently at her and continued walking, he remembered his wife again, the way Elizabeth talks, and the way she got surprised, it truly resembles her from the first two weeks of their hanging out. Alex suddenly bit his lip and trembled in anger, as he also remembered the clear picture of Azrielle, again and again.

Awkwardness occurred as the both of them walked towards the Manor, each with different thoughts, so no one among them interfered with the silence along the way.

The moment they got in front of the Manor, it opened in itself, they saw Ruby on the other side, they both realized, she opened it, "welcome Mi'lords." Ruby bowed, she tried to impress Alex. But he, he just got pissed off, "tch." Alex looked at Elizabeth and smiled at her, "please, excuse me for awhile, I have to meet with someone in my study." Alex started walking away, he didn't mind Ruby. Rather, he ignored her. Ruby kept her head bowed until he leaves the room, then stood back up.

"Don't you think you should stop working?" Elizabeth asked, she had this little pity for her, since Alex just ignored her, he is a bit cruel at Ruby.

"Why would I?" Ruby asked, she bowed and had her face with a sincere smile, her hands were both placed in her stomach, "He is the one who gave me a chance to prove myself that I am worthy to serve him, then I will just abandon it?" Ruby turned around, "now, what kind of a person am I to do so? See you around Mrs. Phantomhive." Ruby started walking to the hallway, where her room is. Leaving Elizabeth at the Grand Foyer, she noticed something strange at Ruby though, she looked at the dark, pitch-black hole at Ruby's back, Elizabeth narrowed her eyes, and got shocked from what she saw, it's a hole, and she can see Ruby's hands.

"What in the world?" Elizabeth stepped back, she stood there frozen, she can't believe she is still living. Now she got more curious, what happened to her? She thought of it, and it is impossible for a human to live with a hole in their stomach.

She didn't mind much, so Elizabeth just shrugged it off and started walking to her room, as she reached the hallway, she felt something weird, she feels like someone's approaching, rather, someone is watching. She didn't mind it until she felt a strong pulse in her heart, the feeling worsens. She turned around and saw something black, it's a shape of a human, showing off strong, dark aura, it's eyes stare at you like a predator, it send shivers to Elizabeth, so she started walking faster. The figure started moving as well, it keeps on coming closer and closer, until to the point of making Elizabeth sprint. She quickly reached the end of a hallway, and passed through another hallway, she noticed a stairway going down, and decided to go down there.

Slowly the moonlight slowly dims as Elizabeth goes down deeper, and deeper. She continued to go down deeper, until the moonlight that shines and passes through the windows of the Manor no longer be seen. As she got to the last step, she looked behind her and saw nothing, still the feeling of someone watching is still in her atmosphere. Elizabeth ran through cages and cells, she realized, she is in a dungeon, the dungeon is so huge, it reached the length of the whole Manor. She stopped for a moment hoping that the creature would stop following her. Well, much as she expects, she doesn't feel anything weird anymore, she went in a cell. There, she saw an old bed with a worst possible kind of futon everyone had, she got no choice but to wait for the creature to make sure that she really is alone. She sat down on the bed and waited. Elizabeth got it strange, why did it suddenly stopped chasing after her? Her thoughts were messed up as the bed she's sitting on, so she stood up and took a peek, she saw nothing but mossy leaking walls and darkness, and turned around and peek at the other side, yet found nothing at all. Rest assured, Elizabeth became confident of her thought that she is really alone. She stepped out of the cell and took a step, suddenly, as she got out of the cell, she heard splashing water, it slowly becomes louder and louder, realizing it was someone's footsteps. Elizabeth started running again, she got deceived by her own thoughts, she should've trusted her instinct instead, now she runs for her life again. She kept on running until she reached the end of the dungeon, there lies a big door, she didn't want to go in, as to what she might find there, but got no choice but to go.

Elizabeth's eyes widened as she saw Ruby, kneeling down and slouching, she seems to be out of herself, realizing she is asleep. Her hands are both placed on her lap. She seems really calm resting still. How can she sleep like that? Elizabeth asked herself, she didn't want to disturb, but she really needed help, so she walked slowly as to not wake Ruby up, she went behind her and sat down, she looked at Ruby again, her sleeping kind of seems not pretty bad at all. A small window on the wall let the moonlight shine in the Cell, directly at Ruby. It seems that the window only provides the little light in the dark cell.

After minutes of silence and thoughts, Elizabeth finally stood up, now sure that no one follows her anymore. She silently took steps again and went at the door, but as the moment she opened it, she felt a sharp pain in her stomach, and realized she is flying in midair, she quickly took a glance of who did it, and yet again, it's the creature. The creature punched her really hard, it must be really angry. She flew across the room and hit the wall where the small window is, making a huge crack on the wall and a loud crashing sound. Ruby didn't flinched at all, still kneeling down and sleeping silently. Elizabeth spit out blood, and knew she needed help. So she shouted out, "Ruby! I-, I need your help!"

"Seeking help?" The creature suddenly spoke, its voice seems really deep and rough, it took a step in the room. It looked at Elizabeth and its eyes glowed, "stand up and fight me."

"Who are you?!" Elizabeth tried to stand up, she can't and only managed to kneel down, she knew she won't last long if this keeps up, she started to shout at Ruby again, "Ruby! Can you hear me!"

The creature started laughing, as it laughs, its voice started to get clear, it's a voice of a woman, it kept on laughing until its voice clearly tells that she is really familiar to Elizabeth, "You didn't let me eat your soul, you didn't even let me get a taste of it, you selfish demon, you turned into one without giving your human soul!!" As she spoke, her anger worsens and her voice started to distort again like it's voice awhile ago, "I'm gonna kill you!!" She started to run towards Elizabeth.

Time stopped at Elizabeth, she looked at the creature's face carefully, and realized, it's Yvette. What she said is actually true, she thought of herself only and didn't care about others, it came to her mind that all she wanted to do is be with Ciel forever. Tears fell on her cheeks as she slowly knows that her end is coming soon, she closed her eyes and gets ready for it.

Loud crashing sounds and cracking walls were heard across the dungeon. The death Elizabeth waited for didn't happen, she stayed still and kept her eyes closed, she heard someone walking, that time she realized she isn't dead. She decided to open her eyes, she saw Ruby standing in a pose that looks like she punched someone.

"Someone appeared to be an intruder." Ruby smiled, then she licked her lips, "It seems like I got time to play- oh dear! Mrs. Phantomhive, what are you doing here?" Ruby rushed to Elizabeth, she helped her stand up, looking worried she asked, "What are you doing here?"

Elizabeth didn't expect that she'd say that, since they don't know each other well. But seems like its the complete opposite, "I'm fine thanks." Elizabeth quickly stood up and backed off, she looks a bit scared by her.

"What's wrong Mrs. Phantomhive?" Ruby asked, she didn't know why she looks scared or why she backed off. Ruby looked at the enemy and it is still lying down, it left her in confusion, "Are you scared at me?" The thought of it made her smile, she is just a mere maid serving Alex, of course she is no threat, "I'm just a simple vampire Mrs. Phantomhive, no need to be scared, now-" she looked again at the enemy, "-let's play little fella."

As Yvette got the chance to stand up, but she flew again, she got punched by Ruby, this time harder, she spat blood in mid air and hit another side of the wall. Elizabeth got teary eyes, her maid is being slowly killed in front of her, she knows that she wants her dead by Yvette, but still her sympathy for others is stronger than Yvette's desires. She walked towards Ruby and held her hand, preventing her from punching Yvette, "That's enough Ruby." Elizabeth avoided eye contact with Ruby, she just wants to forget about it. Perhaps another chance can be given, or maybe not, her anger suddenly covered her sympathy on her own maid. Elizabeth threw Ruby and lifted Yvette, she quickly punched her in the stomach, and again Yvette spat more blood. She fell down in agony and got no more energy even trying to sit down, "let me take care of her." Elizabeth looked at Ruby with an unusual grin.

"Wanna kill me huh?" Elizabeth grabbed her foot and smashed Yvette down to the ground, "I, I had enough of you..." Elizabeth looked at her face, "You always fight back on what I say, what I suggest and what I think." She gritted her teeth, Yvette's expression is like it's not bothering her. Elizabeth smashed her down to the ground again, "I am your master, what kind of maid are you?!"

"I-..." Tears shed on Elizabeth's face, she closed her eyes and looked down, she didn't want to say it, but there is also this feeling of wanting to shout this at her, "I sold my soul to you!"

"And..." She opened her eyes in anger, fear started crawling on Yvette, she realized, she as well made a mistake. Yvette wanted to say something, but she is too beaten up to do so.

Elizabeth carried Yvette in the neckand stood up, she tightened her grip, "and I became a demon." She wiped her tears with her other hand, "I don't need someone like you, Yvette."

Yvette tried opening her eyes, she managed to open it a little. She saw Elizabeth opening her mouth, she looks like she will be biting someone really soon, Yvette knew whom will she bite. A split second before Elizabeth's teeth touches her neck, she decided to say her last words, "I'm sorry-"

A drop of blood spilled at the tip of the bottle to the wine glass as Neo poured some for Adeline, both she and Alex were eating together, as awkward and silent as it seems, they felt comfortable towards each other.

Adeline decided to break the silence, "So, what are you up to?" Adeline took a sip, "Rather, what are your plans?"

"Me?" Alex placed his utensils as he's done eating, he didn't reply fast, he rest on his chair and wondered, "I don't know." He stretched and sat down properly, "maybe prepare for something huge." Alex smiled, "something really huge."

"Really? How big?" Adeline sipped the last drop of her drink, she as well is done eating, there is one thing she wants to know, what is this Huge thing Alex is preparing? Adeline looked at Alex seriously "Come on tell me."

"Here's a hint, it is something that could destroy the whole Earth." Alex smiled, "also something that could be worth doing so." Alex looked up, staring at the chandeliers hanging above, suddenly the whole placed shook for a second.

"What was that?" Adeline stood up, seems really worried.

"It's in the Dungeon, we better hurry." Alex stood up just before as Adeline did. Both of them started running. On their way, strangely they realized it happened only once, just at the time they were eating, it's probably over, or something happened worse. Their mind was filled with those thoughts. The thing is, they need to find out.

On their first step at the dungeon, they felt this dark energy, circling the whole place, almost feels like flowing through their body and going out. Something definitely strong lurks beneath here. Somehow, it send chills to Adeline, Alex smiled. He knew that something happened there, that someone dies just for someone to get this strong, Alex is just hoping it would be on their side. They kept walking to the farthest cell. As they do, the energy gets stronger, strong as it feels like sucking your soul out of your body. Alex never expect someone this strong.

Alex touched the doors, and remembered, this is Ruby's place, so Adeline might feel bad about her, about Ruby. Alex looked at Adeline, she knows that this is the place where Ruby is, so her face seems angry, but angry in a controllable manner. Alex shrugged and decided to open it. The moment he opened the door, suddenly, he thought he got a glimpse of Azraille, then she turned around, it was Elizabeth. Alex looked at her face and she seems emotionally, mentally and physically hurt. Still she smiles innocently, it is obvious her smile hides a thousand emotions, from the moment Yvette tries to kill her, to this second she ate her, as they say, -words can't explain what humans, or even other creatures feel.-

"What happened?" Alex took a step in, he noticed the cracked walls and the broken ground, he also saw Ruby just standing in the corner. He didn't mind and went towards Elizabeth.

"I," Elizabeth hesitated to say it, she turned around to face Alex first, then as soon as she finally got the courage, she said it with a scared voice, "I, I just, ate her."

"You what?" Alex looked at Elizabeth, she did something that would anger Lucifer, Cannibalism.

"Adeline, stay there." Alex looked around, he saw blood stains on the floor and on the walls, he also say Ruby, just standing by with a smile and her eyes closed, silently waiting for an order. Alex started walking to the doors of this cell, he looked behind and smiled weakly, "Elizabeth, please go back to your room and have some rest, you need it."

He turned his face around, "and You, clean mess." Alex ordered, Ruby knows who Alex is talking to, so she bowed, "yes, master."

Elizabeth hopped to get down from the huge debris of walls scattered, she walked unsteadily, but she managed to remain standing, she started to stop, seems like she can't walk, so she looked at Alex, and decided to ask for help, "Alex, a bit of help, please?"

Alex looked at her, and smiled, "ah, of course." He walked towards her and kneeled down, he gave his back, and let her fall down, then Alex grabbed her legs, like a back ride. Alex smiled weakly as he noticed that Elizabeth is fast asleep. He stood up and started walking outside. He glanced at Ruby and then he got disgusted with her, she can't forget how she betrayed him, it is really hard for him to trust someone like her now.

0900, 9 am...

Light rays of the sun hit Ciel's eyes as the window suddenly opened, Ciel didn't mind, and kept on sleeping. He heard footsteps across the room, no wonder who it is, he also felt someone was hugging him, he doesn't feel safe around that person, he's feeling like his soul is about to be sucked behind him. Suddenly, his heart raced at his own realization, he quickly gets up and opened his eyes, he looked at the one hugging him. Ciel felt relieved, it was just Elizabeth, she looks really tired, so he tried to keep quiet, but what did he just felt awhile a go? Ciel got chills that moment. He stared at Elizabeth and kissed her cheeks, he didn't want to wake her up. He carefully make his way out of the bed and prepared himself.

"What happened to her?" Ciel asked himself as he quickly left the room.

On the Hallway, Ciel and Sebastian met, Ciel looks a bit worried, so Sebastian approached him, "Master, is something wrong?" Sebastian bowed and asked as a sign of greeting.

Ciel stopped, "No nothing, it's just-," Ciel sighed a bit, "it's just that something is odd about Elizabeth." Ciel continued to walk.

"Is it about her-," Sebastian faked a cough, "about her possible strength?" He smiled and followed his master.

"Let us ask Mr. Baltazar." Ciel smiled.

"Well don't you think it is time for you to train yourself more master?" Sebastian smiled with him. Its been ages the last time he trained with Alex. "It would be convinient if you asked him on your training mi'lord."

"Right you are, I guess I need to train more." Ciel looked at Sebastian, for a second of them looking at each other, Ciel suddenly punched Sebastian really fast, Sebastian managed to move his head and dodged the attack, "It is you're turn to Train me, Sebastian, and That, is an Order." Ciel smiled as he ordered him.

Sebastian closed his eyes and smiled, he felt a bit happy hearing those orders, you could say he is used to his orders now, somewhat amusing to him. He stood up and grinned.

"Yes, my Lord."
