3 Chapter 3 - Combat Training and USJ

Basic hero training begins in the afternoon which is now and I was currently talking to Froppy since she wanted to know what my Quirk is. Just as I was about to answer her question, the door to the classroom opened.

"I am... coming through the door like a normal person!"

With everybody having shocked faces except for me and Todoroki, All Might went to the front of the class. "I teach basic hero training."

Pausing and evaluating how his introduction went, he continued. "It is a subject where you train in different ways to learn the basics of being a hero. You'll make the most units of this subject."

Smiling and flexing his muscles, he smiled a big smile, showing his bright white teeth. "Let's get right into it!"

Reaching into his pocket and taking out a card, he showed it to the class. "This is what we'll be doing today--combat training!"

Pointing at the wall with his big and thick hands, suitcases with numbers on them began sliding out like drawers. "So you all need these to go with the combat training!"

"Costumes which were made based on your Quirk registrations and your requests to model the costumes you sent in before school started."

Seeing that a lot of the students had excited faces except for a few, he coughed to get their attention. "After you change into your costumes, gather in ground Beta."

"Yes, sir!"

Crossing my arms and looking at All Might who was standing at the center of ground Beta, he looked to see if everyone was present. "They say clothes make the man... and ladies, of course."

Still having my arms crossed, the Pro hero in front of us finally spoke. "Be fully aware... from now on... you're all heroes!"

"Whoo!"

Looking at us he says "That's great, everyone. You all look cool!"

Getting serious he says "Now, shall we begin, you zygotes?"

While everyone had determined faces I was checking out my costume.

It was a robe and it had two colors and of which were black and white. While I was walking it felt like I had more space to move.

"Now, it's time for combat training!"

The robot raised his hand to say "Sir! This is a battle center from the entrance exam, so will we be conducting urban battles again?"

Putting two fingers out All Might says "No, we're going ahead two steps!"

"Most of the time, fighting villains takes place outside, but if you look at the total numbers, atrocious villains appear indoors at a higher rate."

"Imprisonment, house arrest, backroom deals-- In this society filled with hero's, truly intelligent villains hide in the shadows!"

"For this class, you'll be spilt into villains and hero's and fight two on two indoor battles."

"Without basic training?"

"This is a real battle to understand those basics!"

"However, the key this time is that there's no robot you can just beat up."

"How will wins and losses be determined?" said Momo.

After Momo asked a question Bakugo, Iida, and Aoyama rapidly started asking questions.

"I'll answer all your questions!"

Taking out a pamphlet he began reading what was inside.

"Now listen here."

"The situation is that the villains have hidden a nuclear weapon somewhere in their hideout."

"The hero's are trying to dispose of that weapon."

"Teams and opponents will be determined by drawing lots!" said All Might as he took out a yellow box.

"They're being decided so haphazardly?" said Iida.

Momo then explained to Iida that hero's always team up in random situations.

Now knowing why this was random Iida had apologized to All Might.

After taking out my chip I had been teamed up with Froppy. We were up against Mina and Kirishima.

I wasn't really paying attention to the battles until it was now our turn. While walking there Froppy had begun strategizing about what to do.

Since we were the villains I just said "Why don't I just go alone while you're protecting the nuclear bomb."

"Hhm. That seems fine."

Whenever I talked about hero's my mind gets blurry and I have the urge to kill them. Though, whenever I talked about villians my mind would just say they were just nuisances.

"Are you okay? You were just staring at the wall" said Froppy as she waved a hand in front of me.

"I'm fine. I was just thinking of where they'd come from."

After a couple minutes later we heard All Might shout "Start!"

When I heard that, I started going through the corridors. My perception was pretty high, so I knew that they were still on the bottom floor.

Going to the stairs I jumped off the railing and I started running to the other stairs.

Hearing that I was getting closer I just decided to break the floor.

When I broke through the floor I saw them run the other way, but Kirishima stopped.

Seeing that Mina was running away I went for her instead of Kirishima. As she wasn't fast enough I grabbed her neck and put too much strength.

My mind became blurry again, so I shook my head to stop it.

When Kirishima saw that Mina was knocked out he ran towards me.

To get this over with I covered my arm with cursed energy.

With him getting closer to me I side stepped him and back handed his face.

When Kirishima hit the wall he had been knocked out. When he stopped moving All Might yelled "The villain team has won!"

Putting Kirishima and Mina on my shoulder I started walking to the nurses office.

When I was a couple steps away from the building I heard Froppy call my name. Looking behind me I just did a cheeky smile.

She asked if they were okay to which I say "They aren't dead if that's what you're asking me."

When I reached the nurses office she told me to put them on the bed. Putting them on the bed I started walking back.

When I came back it seemed like the fights had already ended.

...

As we were outside All Might said "Good work everyone!"

"We didn't have much injuries other than Kirishima and Mina."

"You guy's took this on seriously!" said All Might as he cleaned his fist for everyone to see.

"You all did an amazing job for your first training session!"

"To have such a proper class after Mr. Aizawa's class... It's kind of anticlimactic." said Asui with almost everybody nodding their heads.

Crossing his arms All Might says "We're free to have proper classes, as well!"

"Well then, I must review with Genki on what he should do better!"

"Change and return... to the classroom!" said All Might as he ran away with Genki.

"Why was he in such a hurry?"

"Why're you asking me?"

...

We all change back to the school uniform and head back to the classroom.

Fro-, Asui and me were just talking. I asked about her quirk and she said she basically has the characteristics of a frog.

She also asked about mine to which I say "My quirk is a combination of transformation, emitter, and accumulation."

"Wow! That's so cool that you have three in one"

"I don't really think my quirk is all that special considering..."

After telling her about my quirks type it felt like a sudden burst of energy had gone into me. It lasted for only two minutes but the energy that I coat my body with increased.

"Hello? You stopped talking for two minutes and was blankly staring at the ceiling."

"Oh... Yeah, I'm fine so you don't need to worry."

"If you say so, Midoriya." said Asui as she went back to her seat.

'What was that? Was it because I told her about the type of my quirk, or was it...'

When I was about to continue my thoughts the classroom door opened and we saw Genki.

They tried to cheer him up since he almost won against Bakugo, but it looked like Bakugo quickly adapted to his fighting style.

When class had ended I went straight to my house and ate dinner.

Going to my bed I lay down and internally say 'There's one thing I want to try.'

Evenly spreading my cursed energy throughout my whole body I stood back up again.

Punching in front of me there was a gust of wind and the walls started cracking.

'I need to constantly distribute cursed energy through my body without my conciousness.'

Laying down on my bed again I continually distribute cursed energy and I closed my eyes.

...

When I arrived at U.A I saw a bunch of reporters at the front of the door.

Dismissing them I quickly go right by them and went straight to class 1-A.

Entering class there were a few people who looked at me with some having concerned and neutral faces.

Ignoring them I went to my desk and closed my eyes.

It felt like everyone had come, so when I felt that Aizawa had walked inside to say "Good work on yesterday's combat training. I saw the video and results."

"Now let's get to homeroom business."

"Sorry for the late notice, but lately, I'll have you decide on a class representative."

When Aizawa had ended his sentence about 90% of the class raised their hands.

"Silence please! It is a job with the serious responsibility of leading others. It is not a job for just anyone who wants to do it. It is a calling that requires the trust of those around you."

"If we want to use democracy to decide on a true leader, then we should hold an election to choose one."

I didn't really listen to his heartfelt speech, but if I were to vote for someone I would choose Momo.

Asui is my second pick since she seems pretty smart about how to use her quirk.

-----Election End-----

Momo got the most votes as she had three on her and Todoroki got two. He didn't seem to like this, but it seems like no one noticed this from him.

Iida was shaking so much that it looked like he was in a snowy mountain.

The rest of the time spent in class was talking about what the class would be doing.

When it was time for lunch I was sitting with Momo, Todoroki, Asui, and Bakugo. Though it seemed like Bakugo wanted to kill me right then and there.

Trying to get to know each other the alarm went off which made everyone quiet.

*There has been a level 3 security breach.

*All students please evacuate outdoors promptly.

With everyone hearing the announcement they all started screaming and running.

I didn't move from my spot since all this negative energy made me feel a whole lot comfortable, and I mostly didn't care.

But when I looked outside the large window I saw reporters trying to come inside.

"Hey, aren't you getting up?" asked Asui as she put her finger on her cheek.

"Look outside and see why I'm not moving from my spot; also, there's too many people to go through."

Looking at where I pointed all they could see was panicking students and the large glass.

Knowing that I'd be okay on my own they followed the crowd, and it was now me and Todoroki sitting.

"Are you actually gonna use your quirk to the max, or are you just handicapping yourself?"

Silent for a couple seconds he says "It's none of your business."

"Alright, suit yourself."

Finished with my food I turn around and wait for the crowd to go away, but I instead saw Iida jump on the wall with a megaphone.

Tuning him out from my brain everybody stopped and walked back to their seats.

Now seeing everyone gone I went to put my tray away and when I went back someone blocked my way.

He was a blonde guy who had a big smile on his face.

Walking past him I heard him screaming at me but when I turned around he was no longer there.

I decided to go to class early and took a little nap.

Feeling a tap on my shoulder I woke up and saw Aizawa staring at me with his crusty eyes.

"Hey."

"Don't sleep in my class again."

Giving him a slight nod I put my head on top of my hand and waited for him to start.

"For today's basic hero training. It's turned intona class with three instructors which are All Might, me, and one more person."

"Excuse me! What'll we be doing today?!"

With Aizawa taking out a card it had the word rescue on it. Leaving the card for everyone to see he goes on to say "Disasters, shipwrecks, and everything in between."

"It's rescue training."

"You can decide if you want to wear your costume."

With our briefcases coming out of the wall from a remote Aizawa pressed he continues with "Because there are probably costumes that limit your abilities, too."

"The training will take place off-campus, so we're taking a bus."

"That is all. Start getting ready."

Taking our briefcases to the locker room I quickly change and walk to the bus.

I wasn't really tired, but I went to sleep. I could still hear even if I'm sleeping thanks to Cursed energy.

They were talking about quirks with some wanting to ask me, but didn't since I was sleeping.

...

"We're here, so everybody stop messing around."

Getting out of the bus we met a hero who looked like an astronaut.

"Everyone, I have been waiting for you. Let's go inside without delay."

"We look forward to meeting with you!" collectively said about 98% of the class.

With her getting semi-serious she says "A shipwreck, a landslide, a fire, a windstorm, etc. It is a training ground that I made with different types of accidents and disasters."

Pausing, she excitedly says "It's called the Unforseen Simulation Joint, or USJ for short!"

With Aizawa walikg up to Thirteen he quietly whispers "Thirteen, where's All Might? He was supposed to meet us here."

"About that..."

They talked for two minutes and when it looked like Thirteen was done Aizawa backed off.

"It can't be helped. Shall we begin?"

Wanting to continue Thirteen says "Let's see... Before we begin, let me say two, ot three things, or seven things."

Clearing her throat she begins with "Everyone, I am sure you are aware of my quirk, [Black Hole]. I can suck up anything and turn it to dust."

"My powers are used for helping, but it can easily kill. Some of you have quirks like that, right?"

"In a superhuman society, personal quirks have been certified and stringently regulated, so that doesn't seem to be a problem at first glance."

"However, please do not forget that there are many quirks that can easily kill with one wrong step."

"With Aizawa's physical fitness test, you found out about the possibility of your own hidden powers, and with All Might's person-to-person combat training."

"I think you experienced the danger of using those powers against others. This class is a fresh start."

"You shall learn how to use your quirks to save people's lives. You do not have powers so you can harm others."

"I hope you leave here with the understanding that you have powers in order to help others."

"That is all. Thank you for listening."

With most of my classmates cheering for Thirteens speech; I noticed that the electricity went off.

"All right then, first--"

Looking at the fountain, a purple, black vortex came out of nowhere and started enlarging.

The first thing that came out was a hand; then more people came out, but what caught my attention was the bird abomination.

"Gather together and don't move! Thirteen, protect the students!"

Trying to find out if the test had started someone said "Is this like the entrance exam where the lessons already started?"

Taking a step forward towards these people, Aizawa shouted "Don't move!"

Looking at the ones who came out of the portal, Aizawa calmly says "Those are villains."

When everyone (not me) heard what Aizawa said, they started rapidly talking about what to do.

Somehow, seeing these "Villains" made me somewhat mad and I don't know why.

'The one with hands all over his body seems like their leader, and that muscular bird is most likely really strong.'

When Aizawa ran towards the villians we were escorted by Thirteen to the entrance.

But when we were a couple steps from getting out of the building, the same purple, black vortex blocked us.

When the vortex man came out of his portal I threw my fire at him, which he created a portal and sent it somewhere else.

Todoroki looked at me in disbelief, but he couldn't stare for too long since the vortex swallowed us all.

I was on a boat, all alone; surrounded by villains that were in the water.

Again, making sure I was alone I used dismantle on every, single, villain there.

Since I imbued cursed energy into this attack, they all instantly died. The water started becoming red because of their blood, so I quickly swam to where Aizawa was.

When I reached the shore I saw Aizawa getting beat up by the muscular bird.

Running to their leader I sent a cursed cleave to him while also sending my fire at him.

The muscular bird blocked my fire, but got cut into three pieces; contrary to what I thought it regenerated back.

"Midoriya!!! Get out of here!! This is a teacher's matter and not a student's!"

Ignoring his command, I cover my whole body with cursed energy and punched the abomination.

But to my surprise it looked like I barely did any damage.

"Maybe he'll come if I kill this kid. You know what... Nomu, kill this kid!!"

Hearing the hand man say that, I jumped back; but when I thought I was far enough I felt a sharp pain on my shoulder.

It felt like I was flying, but getting back on my feet, I started wobbling around.

"Yes Nomu! This one doesn't deserve to live anymore!"

My eyes were blurry, my arm was broken and he was stronger than me.

But I had unknowingly healed myself. This sort of energy felt different from my usual cursed energy. It felt... like a reversed version of my cursed energy.

The blurriness was going away; my arm was back to normal, and I stopped wobbling all over the place.

'This feeling...'

Not even a second after I healed myself, the Nomu, again, punched me.

While I was mid-air, instead of me unknowingly healing myself, I knowingly healed myself.

This time, instead of being bewildered by the fact I could heal myself I brought my arms up to block the Nomu.

Getting barraged by the Nomu, and when I felt like my bones were breaking I healed myself.

"You're still just a puppet." I said as I punched him with all my strength while imbuing cursed energy in my fist.

"Why don't you just die already!" yelled the one who was commanding the Nomu.

And just when I was about to use more cursed energy, I heard someone yell "I am here!"

Taking a quick glance from where I heard the voice, I saw All Might in a hero pose.

'Why don't you help me while saying that!' I thought while still protecting myself from the Nomu.

And when I was about to get my bones broken again, All Might appeared in front of me and punched the Nomu, sending him flying.

'He's finally fucking here!'

"You've done enough, young Midoriya." said All Might, disappearing and appearing in front of the Nomu.

"Hurry up and kill All Might, Nomu!" yelled the immature guy with hands all over his body.

The Nomu ran towards All Might and All Might ran towards Nomu. It resulted in them locking hands, creating a shockwave making the ground under them crack.

"He can regenerate from lost limbs!" I yelled at All Might while taking in the negative emotions of the hands guy.

"If he has regenerative abilities and not shockwave resistance, then that means I can blow him away!" yelled All Might as he barraged the Nomu with punches; with me barely able to see his punches.

With the punches getting faster and faster from All Might, he uppercutted the Nomu and launched him through the ceiling.

There was silence for moment but the hands guy yelled "That is isn't fair! You're cheating!"

"We have to leave, Shigaraki." calmly said the most as he made a portal and pushed Shigaraki into it.

Cementoss walked up to me and asked "Are you okay, Midoriya?"

"I'm fine. But it seems like All Might isn't." I said while getting up.

Putting up a wall and making sure I wouldn't see All Might, I saw steam over the wall.

"He's fine. You don't have to worry about him." said Cementoss with a stern voice.

"If you say so..." I said in a suspicious tone, walking to the entrance.

"Are you alright, Midoriya?" asked Momo with visible concern in her voice.

"Just a few scratches and cuts." I said showing her my arm.

"That's a relief. Ah! It seems your costume is torn up." said Momo, pointing at my costume.

"That's not really a problem since I'll give it to the repair team. Now without further ado, I'll be heading back inside the bus."

"Uh, see ya later then!" Momo said, giving me a wave.

'Man... I'm pretty weak.' I thought, thinking back to when that Nomu was beating my ass.

'I need to somehow get stronger.' I again thought, clenching my fist, digging into me hands making blood flow out.

'I need to be more proficient with how I use my cursed energy.'

Grabbing my head, I fell to the ground and blacked out and heard someone yell my name with concern.
