2 02 – Exam [Re-edited]

——「Battle Center B」——

Surrounded by numerous individuals, I remained still and constantly gazed at the tall and massive door, which was currently locked, awaiting the signal indicating the go-ahead to access the examination venue.

After momentarily diverting my gaze from the locked door, I observed that the majority of the people around me were adorned with various forms of protective gear, while I personally possessed a more casual look, consisting of a white T-shirt, paired with black jeans and a combination of white and cyan in the upper garment.

Listening intently as the large and substantial door inched closer to opening, I enabled my Quirk and swiftly propelled myself through the threshold, while the attention of the others was successfully diverted by Present Mic.

Noticing some moderately towering buildings up ahead, I nimbly sprang up onto the rooftops and spotted a group of sham opponents, who posed no genuine danger and were located in close proximity to me, as they merely served as practice targets.

With a swift movement involving a claw-like configuration of my limbs, I unleashed one of my techniques, Dismantle, upon the faux enemies in my vicinity. I further utilized the technique to deliver powerful punches to those members that avoided being dismantled, causing significant damage to their mechanical bodies.

Upon neutralizing the faux villains for three minutes, I had tallied a cumulative score of seventy-eight points at that point. Given the fact that this was a screening process for potential budding heroes, it would be appropriate to add a point count for the act of assisting distressed individuals, who were placed in jeopardy by these robot villains.

After calculating the duration of time that elapsed and ascertaining that the number of minutes that had transpired was five, I carefully released the individual that I had been carrying and promptly commenced hunting for additional villainous robots to annihilate.

Having sensed the vibrations of the ground and noticing the toppling of buildings in the distance, accompanied by a substantial amount of dust, I understood that my current score of 178 points was satisfactory, given that even the 0-point target may have a high degree of durability. As such, I elected to evaluate the sturdiness of the faux villain solely for the purpose of satiating my curiosity.

The faux villains, while not exhibiting incredible feats of strength, were quite durable, exhibiting a high level of resilience against my Quirk Dismantle. However, it seemed that the 0-pointer possessed both powerful attack capabilities and a significant degree of toughness, as the force of its punches was sufficient to topple structures around it and to unleash powerful gusts of wind that knocked back all individuals in the vicinity.

As the gales vanished and the 0-pointer ceased its offensive measures, all those gathered in the vicinity, some of whom tripped over debris while exiting, promptly retreated and departed from the scene, apparently intimidated by the destructive prowess of the 0-point target.

"There are only two minutes remaining in the first section of the entrance examination!" Announced Present Mic loudly, bringing forth an air of urgency as the conclusion of this part of the test neared.

Slowly transferring 5% of my cursed energy into my limbs, I raced towards the 0-pointer and sprung up into the air, ascending close to the vicinity of the faux villain. Proceeding to deliver a ferocious blow to the 0-pointer's head with one of my legs, I utterly disintegrated its upper torso, before deploying Dismantle to decimate the remainder of the artificial being's body.

Coming back down to the ground after my airborne duel with the 0-pointer, I turned around while observing the faux villain's descent and the damage to the buildings around it. With the exam having ended, I, alongside several other people, moved towards the exit of the venue.

As I trekked back towards the exit, I overheard conversations amongst others discussing an individual, who, while attempting to rescue a person from a 0-pointer in a different battle center, suffered fractures in both of their arms and legs.

Listening to the discussion of others as I traveled back, I considered, "It seems that a person with a potent Quirk risked their health to save a victim from a 0-pointer, and yet sustained serious injuries as a result. Would the examiners still allow such an individual to be admitted to U.A., despite the fact that they are incapable of harnessing their Quirk?"

Once I returned home, I awaited the letter from U.A. which would indicate whether I successfully completed the entrance examination. After a period of time, I checked the mail, spotted a letter from U.A. and collected it. With the letter in tow, I journeyed to my personal quarters.

When I reached the confines of my private quarters, I opened the letter with curiosity, revealing an enclosed disc. I placed the disc on the desk and stepped back, eager to behold the results.

"I appear before you now, projected onto this disc, to offer my congratulations on your completion of the examination," a voice emanated from the small disc.

The image of All Might that materialized before my eyes prompted me to ponder the question, "Why has the Pro Hero All Might utilized this disc to deliver his remarks?"

"The results have been finalized and I am delighted to inform you that you have surpassed the entrance examination through stellar performances in both the written exam and practical test, leading you to obtain a cumulative score of one hundred and seventy-eight points." All Might's projected image addressed me.

"Furthermore, you accumulated an additional score in the practical exam, given that the purpose of the test is to assess the capabilities of people who aspire to be fledgling heroes. Consequently, factoring in these points as well, you now have a grand total of two hundred and eight points." All Might's projected figure announced.

"Izuku Midoriya, you have succeeded in the entrance examination for the Hero Academia!" All Might's projection declared with finality as it returned to the enclosed disc.

Over the course of a few days following the conclusion of the entrance examination, while honing my Quirk by implementing various modes of training, I stumbled upon a fascinating feature which allowed me to conjur the likeness of my mouth on myself and a variety of other people. However, the scope of the words that could be articulated through this manifestation was rather restricted.

Experimenting with this recently acquired ability to manifest my mouth, I diligently practiced on myself and realized that I was capable of forming lengthy utterances in a coherent and well-articulated manner.

——「Monday」——

Upon recognizing that it was Monday, I swiftly inhaled my meal and donned the U.A. uniform, then quickly relocated my person towards the aforementioned establishment, as an initial day at U.A. was immanent.

Approaching the U.A. facility and taking some time to locate the correct classroom, which had been assigned to me, I eventually discovered the room labeled as 1-A. I then directed my gaze towards the towering doorway of the designated classroom.

Opening the door and being confronted with the sight of Bakugo engaging in a heated verbal exchange with another young individual possessing spectacles, who was currently situated in a precarious fashion on his desk, I strolled past the quarreling pair and quickly directed my movements towards the second-to-last row in the room. Once I had arrived at my destination, I calmly sat down on the desk, situating myself in proximity to the window.

With Iida finishing his fruitless dialogue with Bakugo, he let out an exhaustive breath and subsequently observed an individual, equipped with a combination of jet-black and sapphire hair, walk into the classroom.

As the individual with the dual-colored locks of hair stepped foot inside the classroom, his palpitations could be heard and the sound was more rapid and intense than when he was outside of the school building. Following him, a girl with chocolate-colored hair interjected herself into the chatter.

During their discussion about forging a friendship, the trio was suddenly interrupted when a raspy and tired voice declared, "Kindly go away if you have a penchant for being chummy." With that remark, the young people refrained from further discussions on their amity.

"This is the Hero Course," an exasperated tone echoed through the room, accompanied by the presence of the voice's owner, who proceeded to state, "It only took your trio ten seconds to become quiet. Indeed, time is precious here. As such, the youths must be more prudent in their actions."

With a tired sigh, he exuded the following statement, "I am your home room teacher, Shota Aizawa. Greetings to all of you, although I must insist that in the future, you react with greater alacrity."

Fumbling about inside his vivid yellow sleeping bag, he eventually extracted a remote-like device and proclaimed, "I am aware that this is rather abrupt, but put on these items and proceed to depart the room and head towards the sports field."

——「On the field」——

As all of us had altered into the garments found within the suitcases, the majority of the individuals, except for a couple, including me, exclaimed, "A Quirk assessment exam?!" with a combination of surprise and disbelief.

Enthusiastically raising her hand, the young woman with sea-green locks of hair, whose name was Asui, interjected with a curious query, "But what happened to the entrance ceremony?"

"Since you are on the path to becoming heroic figures, you do not have the luxury to participate in an event of such frivolity as the entrance ceremony since you will require further honing of your distinctive powers and skills," proclaimed Aizawa, expressing the necessity of focusing on increasing one's competency and capabilities with Quirks.

"However, how?" a perplexed individual chimed in, questioning the method by which the aforementioned statement could be executed, as the examination was supposed to be an event that occurred after the entrance ceremony, not prior.

"The salient feature of U.A. is its unrestricted nature, which entails certain liberty in the establishment's traditions. Furthermore, a distinguishing attribute of the school is the freedom allowed to its faculty to conduct lessons in a unique manner," Aizawa iterated, elaborating on the prominent feature of U.A., which was a lack of constraints in the school's traditions and the authority of instructors to teach their classes in an innovative manner.

"In addition, you youngsters have been engaged in a physical fitness evaluation, which barred the utilization of Quirks, even while you were still in junior high, correct?" Aizawa inquired with a tinge of uncertainty, since he was not completely confident that every student had taken part in such a test, as there might have been exceptions.

"Indeed, that is correct," all of the students present concurred, voicing their concurrence in a unified manner as they acknowledged that they had indeed undergone the physical fitness test, which prohibited the use of their Quirks, while they had still been in junior high school.

"It appears that the Ministry of Education is still taking it slow with regards to the fitness evaluation where the usage of Quirks is prohibited," Aizawa mused, expressing his opinion that the aforementioned government body, which oversaw the education of students throughout the nation, was not making speedy progress in formulating a fitness test for the present day, when the employment of personal Quirks was not allowed during said exam.

With a small break in the conversation, Aizawa turned his gaze towards me and spoke, "Izuku, you had successfully finished at the summit of the practical examination, is that right?"

"That is correct," I replied, acknowledging with conviction the affirmative answer that I had provided in response to Aizawa's inquiry regarding my performance in the practical exam.

"While still in junior high school, what was the highest result you achieved in the softball throw?" Aizawa posited, inquiring into my past scores in the aforementioned activity, specifically during my time in the educational institution preceding highschool.

"1,897 meters was my record for the softball throw in junior high, while using my Quirk, considering the fact that my physical prowess only weakens when I disable my Quirk." I shared the information pertaining to the distance that I had attained in the softball throw in the previous stage of my education and also provided the details regarding the impact of my Quirk on my capabilities, specifically emphasizing that the application of my Quirk only resulted in a diminution of my strength and other physical attributes upon deactivation.

"Now, attempt to launch the softball using your Quirk in its activated state," Aizawa instructed and encouraged, urging me to use my Quirk to perform the task of throwing the softball, instead of relying on my physical skills.

Approaching the designated area to deliver the ball and hearing Aizawa's permission for me to execute the action in whatever way I saw fit as long as I remained within the boundaries, the teacher stated the following words in a monotonous tone, "I implore you to swiftly get to the task of launching the ball and exert maximum effort."

Starting to drag my left foot forward and situating my right leg at a distance behind me, thus positioning my torso into a firm position, I initiated the process of diverting my cursed energy into my right arm and fist as I prepared for the throw. My cursed energy-filled arm was set at my right side, placed closely adjacent to my head, serving as a means for me to launch the ball with power and accuracy.

Taking a deep breath to steady my heart rate, I moved my right leg forward and moved along with it, bringing my entire body with me as I prepared for the throw that I was going to execute. After releasing the hold on the softball, I propelled my body forwards, expelling the ball from my grasp with great swiftness and might.

As soon as I sent the softball flying, a thunderous sonic boom filled the atmosphere in an instant, which then proceeded to push away Aizawa and all of the students with its mighty force. It was evident from Aizawa's animated expression as the airwaves blasted the surroundings that he was highly impressed and awed by the magnitude and power of my throw.

Upon gazing at the result of my throw and then glancing at the rear, I contemplated, "That was a subpar throw. I could have exerted more cursed energy and thrown more powerfully if I had used more effort." My eyes were filled with displeasure at my lackluster performance, which I blamed on myself due to my failure to give it my all in executing that throw.

While everyone, including Aizawa, recovered from the powerful gust of air that was generated following the ball throw, the teacher directed his attention towards my peers, as he remarked, "Establishing the maximum capacity of your abilities should be the first step you take on the path to becoming a hero. That is the most practical and reasonable approach to lay the foundation for a superhero." As Aizawa had managed to regain his composure after being blown away by my throw, it was noticeable that he had managed to maintain a collected stance even in the aftermath of my feat.

As I removed myself from the designated circle and moved towards the area where my classmates were situated, I folded my arms tightly, displaying my vexation as I pondered different methods I could adopt to enhance the quality of my throw. A frown was etched on my face as I was disgruntled by the unsatisfactory result that I had obtained.

"What?!" The entire class exclaimed in unison, their voices filled with disbelief and surprise.

Kyoka Jirou, a diminutive individual with violet-colored hair, expressed her incredulity, querying, "Is this a joke? 7,682 meters! I cannot believe it." Kyoka had a reputation for being reserved and having a calm demeanor; yet, now she was visibly astounded and shocked by my throw, which managed to surpass the expectations of everyone present.

"This test appears enjoyable!" an enthusiastic voice rang out, as its owner expressed pleasure at the prospect of undergoing the fitness evaluation. With this simple declaration, the speaker exuded excitement and anticipation, as they looked forward to the imminent test and its challenges.

"In this evaluation, we are entirely permitted to utilize our Quirks, just as expected from the course for heroes!" a cheerful voice proclaimed with a tone of delight, highlighting the freedom of action for the students and their joy at being allowed to use their personal Quirks with ease. This cheerful expression of pleasure highlighted the speaker's happiness and satisfaction at the opportunities granted by the nature of the fitness test, which provided the students with the liberty of deploying their unique abilities to full advantage.

A palpable sense of cursed energy emanated from Aizawa, who turned to the students that had uttered the previous statement with a severe expression on his face in response. "It appears entertaining, does it not," Aizawa inquired with an agitated tone, his eyes full of displeasure and annoyance. The teacher's face and tone of voice reflected his displeasure at the attitude shown by certain students, who appeared to be treating the fitness examination as a form of leisure and entertainment, despite its serious nature and underlying purpose of revealing the limits of the students' strengths.

"All of you are given three years to become a hero, so is this demeanor the one you will display throughout that period?" Aizawa inquired with an incisive tone, posing an urgent question and warning to the students, who had been treating the fitness examination as a source of amusement and pleasure. Aizawa raised serious concern regarding the lax and unmindful mindset demonstrated by certain individuals, who seemed to lack a sense of urgency and determination, which was a crucial aspect to possess if they wanted to successfully complete their studies and become true heroes.

Silence filled the air as the students became suddenly and completely still, a calm and silent atmosphere taking hold in their midst. No voices or sounds were heard as everyone remained quiet and still, taking in Aizawa's words. The students' sudden and complete quietness was quite noticeable and striking, as a sudden change in their behavior was discernible upon hearing Aizawa's words, which had produced a profound shift in the attitude and composure of the group.

Gazing directly at the assembly in front of him, with his mane of hair neatly swept away from his face, Aizawa voiced, "We are presently going to make proper adjustments to the circumstances of our students." He then proclaimed, "Welcome to the Hero Course!" Aizawa displayed his determination to make suitable modifications to the current situation of the students, which was a far cry from the more casual and relaxed demeanor he had displayed while he talked about the hero course earlier. The change in the expression and tone in his voice, from indifferent to being serious and focused, was evident.

A palpable smile appeared on Aizawa's face as he proclaimed with an airy tone, "The individual who finishes at the back of the pack in this evaluation shall be expelled! I am thrilled to break the news!" The smile on Aizawa's face was evidence of his amusement at the fact that the last-placed student would be expelled, displaying his amusement at the tense competition that would ensue among the students as a result of his announcement.

"H-hey? The one who finishes last will have to leave? But it's only the first day of school! In addition, it's so unfair!" the speaker interjected with a voice filled with worry and concern. The student expressed their distress at the information that the individual who finished at the bottom of the list would be expelled, even on the first day of school. They also highlighted the unfair aspects of the evaluation, where students were already facing the threat of expulsion, without being granted a chance to adjust and get used to their surroundings first.

"Calamities of nature, big accidents, and selfish villains, whose occurrence and location cannot be anticipated. The land of Japan is riddled with inequity, cruelty, and injustice..." Aizawa paused, before delivering the ominous message to the group of students in a somber and serious tone. The teacher's grave expression and tone of voice added to the gravity of his words, which spoke of the dire and bleak circumstances that a hero must face while protecting the peace of the nation, regardless of how daunting or unfair the obstacles and challenges might be.

"Heroes are the ones who vanquish the great calamities, so if you want to squander your days away with your friends at 'Micky D's' after school, you can forget about it," Aizawa stated with an air of scorn, mocking the potential choices of certain individuals who might have hoped to waste their free time in such a manner after school instead of devoting themselves to becoming a hero. Aizawa's sarcasm hinted at his lack of patience towards those who were not serious about pursuing their chosen career and who wished to pursue futile distractions instead of focusing on their training and studies.

"For the next three years, U.A. will offer you one difficult obstacle beyond another, so brace yourselves," Aizawa declared, cautioning the students regarding the hardships they would face while in training to become heroes and emphasizing their need to be prepared. As the students' years of education at the leading academy for future superheroes would be filled with several challenges and hurdles, Aizawa wanted to make sure that his students were mentally and physically prepared to overcome the obstacles they would face during their time in school.

"Now, proceed with fortitude and determination. Plus Ultra! Overcome the obstacles and difficulties that arise with all your strength, throughout your stay here." The deflated tone in Aizawa's voice indicated a sense of weariness and frustration, as the teacher's expression betrayed his exhaustion with the tasks facing the students in front of him. However, Aizawa still conveyed his desire for his students to continue their efforts and press on forward in face of the countless trials that they would face during their time at the academy, reminding them to surpass the challenges with all the will and dedication that they could muster.

Having reverted his demeanor back to the composed and calm expression he displayed in the classroom, Aizawa declared, "With the serious talk being finished and the demonstration concluded, the actual examination shall now begin." With those words, Aizawa notified the students of the impending start of the fitness evaluation and urged them to focus on the tasks ahead, so that they may overcome the rigorous exercise without any unnecessary disruptions or delays.

After moving to a separate location since test one involved a 50-meter dash, I was pitted against Bakugo during the evaluation. When we received the signal to begin moving forward, I completed the dash within 0.46 seconds, while Bakugo managed to complete it only 4.13 seconds later. This result was indicative of the significant disparity in speed and quickness between my performance and Bakugo's. Throughout the race, Bakugo's movements appeared sluggish in comparison, while I managed to complete the task with considerable speed, allowing me to finish considerably ahead and faster than Bakugo.

While using our Quirks was permitted, something peculiar caught my attention—the individual who had earlier shattered both their limbs in an attempt to rescue someone else was evidently not utilizing their personal Quirk to the fullest. This strange observation about the individual's apparent decision to forgo their Quirk during the assessment despite the allowance to leverage it piqued my curiosity and raised questions in my mind in regards to their thought process behind this decision.

'Could it be that he hasn't mastered the usage of his Quirk entirely? I mean, I understand why utilizing his Quirk was necessary to defeat the Zero Pointer, but looking at his current state, it is evident that he has not been engaging in any sort of exercise or workout to improve the condition of his physique.' As I observed the individual who had earlier utilized their Quirk to subdue the Zero-Poiinter, I contemplated the possibility that this individual could potentially lack the mastery over their personal Quirk, a deficiency which might have been remedied if they had engaged in a regular and consistent workout regime.

For Test Two, Aizawa distributed the grip strength machine to the respective participants, prompting us to exert pressure on the machine with our hands. However, the moment I exerted pressure, the machine itself cracked, making it impossible for me to complete the evaluation.

For the third test, we were tasked with performing standing long jumps, an activity that required us to leap forward as far as possible in order to garner the greatest possible distance covered from one jump. I ended up taking first place in this evaluation by demonstrating the greatest leap.

In the fourth test, we were directed to perform lateral jumps consecutively in a single minute. I successfully managed to execute the prescribed number of jumps needed, which was 798, allowing me to earn first place. For the fifth test, we were invited to throw a softball, but since the task only required us to toss the ball once, I had already accomplished this prior to the evaluation. Hence, I was able to skip the activity without any negative consequences.

I initially lacked the urge or desire to take note of anybody's particular performance, but when the boy with the blackened and azure-hued hair stepped up to the plate, he suddenly managed to capture my focus. This was due to my curiosity about his specific Quirk which had me intrigued from the very beginning. My facial gestures, including that of raised eyebrows and a quizzical expression, conveyed my sense of bewilderment and inquisitiveness toward the boy's unknown personal Quirk.

As the boy with the darkened and azure-colored hair assumed a somewhat messy but consistent throw position, I became even more curious about what his Quirk might possibly be. While it was evident that his form was not ideal or perfect, the sudden alteration and transformation of the veins in his body to become a shade of blue was certainly intriguing. The boy seemingly let go of the softball, and I was intrigued by the prospect of his personal Quirk being related in some way to the change in his vein's color.

In anticipation of the force behind the throw the boy with the blackened and azure-hued hair was performing since I had noticed his veins changing colors, I watched the softball, wondering just how far it was going to be able to travel. However, I was soon surprised when I witnessed the baseball fail to fly even half the distance it was expected to, given the boy's apparent Quirk-aided abilities. The ball only landed 45 meters away from the boy, thus exceeding my expectations of distance-traveled and leaving me puzzled with regard to the reasons for such a result.

I glanced in the direction of the teacher, known as Aizawa, seeing clear indications that his Quirk was presently activated, as his hair stood up and his cursed energy level elevated. The expression on Aizawa's face conveyed a feeling of disappointment and displeasure, as he announced, "My Quirk has temporarily disabled your personal Quirk." The teacher's clear frustration and concern about the situation, evident by his expressions and tones, reflected the seriousness of the matter at hand and his dissatisfaction with the boy.

"The entrance examination we earlier underwent was simply not sensible or logical enough to justify a child such as yourself entering Class 1-A or this venerable school." This condemnation of the entrance test results, delivered by Aizawa in a disapproving tone and with a stern expression, showcased his dissatisfaction with the examination results and his judgment of the candidate's capabilities and potential as a potential student at the academy for future superheroes. His use of the adjective "venerable" suggested a sense of respect and admiration towards the institution of the school, which emphasized Aizawa's high expectations and standards for students looking to pursue their education at the academy.

Glancing over my shoulder, as I had sensed the presence of a mysterious individual keeping their gaze on me for quite some time, I discovered All Might hiding behind a nearby building. Amidst my classmates' attention being solely focused on the teacher, who was berating one of my peers, I decided to give the pro hero a quick and casual wave, as well as a playful smile, to which he responded by swiftly bolting away. The element of surprise imparted by my sudden gesture and expression left the top hero in a state of surprise.

Aizawa once again addressed the boy, this time taking a condescending tone as he posed a series of questions. "Do you really not comprehend how to govern your personal Quirk? Or are you just going to become incapacitated once more, with the requirement of a savior to rescue you?" The teacher's words were sprinkled with a hint of sarcasm and derision, as he appeared to suggest that the boy's supposed inability to control his Quirk would result in him being rendered useless or incapable in the future, thus forcing him to rely on someone else's aid to resolve any potential Quirk-related issue.

"It's not that I meant to, Aizawa-!" The boy's attempt at defending himself was abruptly cut short.

"Regardless of what your intentions may be, the people around you will be compelled to handle the task for you and offer their aid," Aizawa stated, his tone becoming threatening and his expression growing more ominous. As the teacher approached the boy who wished to become a hero, his personal Quirk activated, causing his scarf and hair to levitate and move seemingly of their own accord. With this sudden and intimidating appearance, Aizawa expressed the potentiality of the boy being a nuisance and a burden to his peers in the future, causing them to constantly have to assist and cover for him.

"In an age long past, a tremendously passionate individual selflessly rescued countless people through his audacious efforts and bequeathed an iconic legacy."

"Even if you harbor the same intense valor, you'll merely devolve into an incapable and purposeless figure after saving only a single individual."

"Hajime Genki, it is my firm opinion that you will never be capable of becoming a hero in this era, or any one thereafter, with your current Quirk."

By addressing Hajime Genki by name, Aizawa makes sure that his message is explicitly directed towards the subject of the evaluation, and that any criticism or comments are directed at him, and not at the group of aspiring heroes as a whole. The teacher's stern tone also highlights his certainty and insistence that Hajime's Quirk is unsuitable for a hero, particularly during the current era and its coming generations.

Upon observing the teacher's scarf and hairdo descend back down to their usual position, Aizawa informed the boy, "I have reinstated your personal Quirk. You have two chances remaining to control it, so make haste and proceed accordingly."

The teacher's statement highlighted the pressure and urgency of the situation at hand, as the boy was now faced with the responsibility of managing his Quirk in a timely manner. Additionally, Aizawa's serious tone and manner of speech emphasized his sternness and his belief that it was crucial for the boy to exert the necessary effort and control his Quirk appropriately.

As I exhaled in resignation, I considered Aizawa's prior statement that Genki's Quirk was potentially perilous both to himself and those around him. The prospect of Genki's Quirk posing a risk to others prompted my interest and concern in the matter, and motivated me to offer my support and guidance to the best of my capabilities.

Upon refocusing my attention on Genki, he began utilizing his Quirk, causing me to swiftly intervene and pacify him by uttering words of reassurance. I swiftly proceeded to notify the boy of my intentions to offer aid and assistance in managing his potentially hazardous Quirk, with the belief that my actions could potentially assist him and avoid any detrimental or harmful incidents.

"When a substantial amount of pressure is applied onto a concentrated and vulnerable area, it could potentially cause the object in question to fracture or break as a result. On the other hand, what if the same level of pressure was distributed uniformly over an even wider surface area instead? If that were to occur, the pressure on any specific spot would be significantly reduced, thus decreasing the likelihood of the object's collapse."

In a tone designed to present a query, I utilized a contrast between two scenarios to emphasize the advantages of distributing pressure uniformly while exemplifying the disadvantages of exerting it onto a concentrated and fragile location.

After providing him with my guidance and assistance in understanding and managing his Quirk, I removed the effect of my Quirk that had generated the mouth on Genki, and contemplated to myself, "What I just communicated to him regarding the effects of concentrated and uniformly distributed pressure should be simple to comprehend."

With the words spoken in a slightly haughty or conceited manner, I articulated my assumption that the instruction previously imparted to the boy should be easy to absorb and grasp, possibly implying that he should easily and quickly understand the explanations I had given him.

As I turned my vision onto Genki, I noticed that his veins once again started becoming a blue hue, and he then executed his standard throwing position before hurling the ball with a fierce force. After the ball was thrown, the boy clutched his hand and triumphantly shouted at Aizawa, "I'm still upright!" While feeling the pain from the pressure caused by his Quirk being activated, Genki also appeared to exclaim his elation at the thought that he was still able to maintain his standing position after having thrown the ball.

The throw, which measured approximately 918 meters in length, took a sizable toll on the boy's entire body and mind, as it required significant mental acumen to execute it successfully. In light of this, Aizawa ordered the boy to take a rest period while the remainder of the class continued with their own throws. The teacher's instruction reflected his understanding of the intense strain the boy was under, and his desire to allow him some moment of respite from the exhaustion and stress that the assessment had brought upon him.

On the following physical exams, ranging from tests six through eight, I intentionally lowered my level of physical aptitude and competence, despite ultimately securing the leading position in all of them.

Upon the conclusion of all the required assessments and evaluations, Aizawa swiftly announced, "Right then, I'll now proceed with swiftly revealing the results of this examination to you all."

"The aggregate result simply consists of the scores attained through each test, and since it would be rather futile to describe each one individually, I shall promptly demonstrate the outcome for all of you simultaneously."

Momentarily following the discontinuation of the projection of the results, a smile suddenly graced Aizawa's face as he spoke, "By the way, my statement about expelling any student who doesn't perform adequately was merely a lie."

Upon Aizawa's proclamation regarding his earlier assertion of expulsion being a deceit, a chorus of voices broke out and expressed their astonishment, with one individual raising their voice to exclaim, "What!?" In the chaos and confusion that ensued, the students appeared to have been rendered utterly incredulous and confounded by the revelation that their teacher had been lying. The uproar that followed conveyed the intensity and the sheer magnitude of the impact of the information the students had just received, as they had been under the impression that they stood to be expelled due to their perceived unsatisfactory performance on the assessment.

"The aforementioned deception was a reasonable stratagem that I utilized in order to uncover the maximum potential and capabilities of your respective Quirks." The teacher's explanation emphasized the strategy and logic behind his previous falsehood, as he expressed his belief that the deception was rational and motivated by a desire to evoke the greatest extent of each student's personal Quirk. By revealing the true purpose and nature of his deception, Aizawa seemingly intended to reassure and alleviate any concerns or unease among the class regarding their potential expulsion, while also acknowledging the necessity of using deception to uncover the potential of the students and their Quirks.

As I prepared to verbally indicate that Aizawa's most recent statement was yet another falsehood, I restrained myself and remained silent, intending to observe if any of my classmates would be cognizant enough to discern the truth.

With a confident attitude and an affable tone, Momo, a girl with black hair tied in a ponytail, proclaimed, "Indeed, it was a falsehood. One would have deemed it evident merely by means of reasoning." The girl appeared to possess a level of insight and perception that allowed her to easily identify Aizawa's deception, as she asserted that the teacher's statement should have been obvious to the rest of the class if they had thought thoroughly. Her demeanor also conveyed a sense of assurance and composure, as she seemed to be confident in having been capable of discerning the veracity of the situation.

Amidst the loud reactions from my classmates, I stood there, uttering nothing. Having been rendered speechless by the circumstances and the events, I was unable to formulate a coherent response or reply. I merely remained in place, not knowing how to respond or what to say.

With a monotone voice, Aizawa announced, "With that, the examination has been concluded. Each of your individual copies of the curricula and pertinent materials has been placed at your designated seats within the classroom. Upon returning, procure them and ensure to peruse the contents thereof." The teacher's tone was dispassionate and emotionless, almost as if he had become accustomed to repeating his statements time and time again.

His instruction emphasized the fact that the test had reached its conclusion, as well as the need for each student to collect their respective copies of the course content and review it when they got back to the classroom.
