13 Revenge For Your Canon Counterpart!

"I AM… COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!" All Might scream-said in the most melodramatic way possible.

"Yes, because regular people announce their arrival to everyone within a kilometer radius," I sighed.

"Midoriya, learn to live a little. It's literally All Might and he's our freaking teacher!" Kaminari said, a bit too excited for my taste.

"Holy… He's in one of his older costumes, right?" Mina asked.

"It's his Silver Age Costume if I'm not mistaken," Tsuyu said.

"Now, now, kids. Settle down, for we are about hit the ground running and start our first lesson with—" He pulled out a card that read "BATTLE," "—a trial of battle!"

"Oh joy. Next you'll be picking up a remote control from behind the podium and telling us you've prepared our hero costumes to commemorate this most glorious occasion," I said, utterly ruining the moment for the poor Symbol of Peace.

"That's exactly what I'm going to do, young Midoriya," All Might said, keeping his composure as he did what I predicted and suitcases containing our hero costumes slowly appeared out of extending shelves that were previously hidden in the walls of the classroom.

"Now, look alive ladies and gentlemen, because after you put on your costumes, you'll have taken your first steps in becoming real heroes!"

...

"Damn, homie, you're looking mighty fine in that costume, Izubro," Camie said after we had finished changing and regrouped by Training Grounds Gamma.

"The catsuit's pretty lit if I do say so myself," I said, humoring her with some slang. She seemed to like it, if the pink dusting her cheeks was any indication.

"Midoriya… As our class' current front runner and most capable combatant, I have to ask where abouts in your costume you've equipped yourself for future heroic duties. Not to dismiss its aesthetic appeal, I myself find it impressive, I just don't see how it compliments your Quirk in any way," Iida said; verbose to a fault, really.

"Well… Apart from looking awesome, my costume's made with some of the most resilient textiles known to man. And that's all I really need, given the many spells and abilities I'm capable of through just the use of my Quirk." I'd modeled my costume after Noctis' Kingly Raiment Attire, so I had on a three-piece suit, moccasins, and a cape; all black with gold embroidery, of course.

"I for one think it fits you quite nicely," Momo said.

"Thanks. You also look…"

"What?!"

"You look nice! Better than I ever imagined. Better than everyone else combined!" I blurted out, having been caught unprepared. I'd only hesitated because I'd been distracted by the fact that she was wearing a new costume.

It wasn't that I was regretting my earlier suggestion which now prevent us all from looking at her ample cleavage and curvaceous body. Honest; I promise.

"Aww, look she's blushing," Mina teased. She then turned to me with a sly look on her face and said, "Keep that up and you two'll be boyfriend and girlfriend by the end of the week."

As If I would give her the reactions she wanted.

I paused for the second it took my twisted mind to form a most marvelous plan and suddenly, I put on the most serious face I felt confident in keeping together as I said, "Mina…"

"W-what?" Our exchange had gotten the attention of everyone, it seemed.

"Don't you know that's impossible?"

"To think that you of all people would have confidence issues," Kaminari blurted, before being stabbed by one of Jiro's earlobe jacks.

"It's impossible—" my voice cracked ever so slightly as Kaminari's comment almost pushed me into a total outburst of laughter, "—because I'd rather chase after you, Mina."

Suddenly the atmosphere changed faster than any I'd experienced beforehand. Mina had gone quiet and reserved, and most definitely shy. Momo was casting a murderous gaze so treacherous I wondered whether or not she learned how to use one my debuff spells. And the rest of the class was locked trying to figure out how they should feel about my ridiculous declaration.

Fortunately, All Might was there to save the day, as he coughed and gathered everyone's attention immediately. "So, we're all here, then?"

I flashed him an "Ok" hand sign and resolved to steal Iida's line. "Sensei, this appears to be the same field used for the Entrance Exams. Will we be fighting against robots again?" I acted as if the minute prior had never taken place.

"No, today we'll start with Indoor Anti-personnel Battle Training…"

He continued talking, but I drowned it out, already knowing what was coming. Eventually, people started going up to draw lots, so I did as well and…

"Hell yeah! Team J," Toru brought her glove up.

As her partner I didn't leave her hanging.

"Moving on, first we'll have—" All Might put each of his hands in two boxes to draw the matchups, "—Team B as heroes versus Team J as villains."

"Ha!" I turned to Toru, "We can actually get vengeance for your original counterpart."

Nobody understood what I meant, and I didn't explain it. The point was, I was going to make Toru single handedly dispatch Todoroki and his partner, Pony Tsunotori; the girl with the Horn Canon Quirk.

"You want me to what?!" Toru probably thought I was joking.

"Come on, it'll be easy after I buff you."

'Synergist,' For the first time, I used one of the more powerful buffs on someone other than myself, 'Bravera, Protectra, Shellra, Veil, Barfire, Barwater, Haste,' and for good measure, 'Enfire.'

"If you want, I could make it even easier if I go to the roof and wait for the round to start to instantly cast debuffs on our opponents," I said. Though, it appeared my words fell onto deaf ears as Toru was bouncing around the room trying out the new strength I had temporarily given her.

"Oh my god, I feel invincible!" Toru said, before she ran right in front of me.

"Hit me," she said.

"Are you sure you want me to do that? Don't forget I'm the guy who used a great sword to bat more than three consecutive out-of-the-parks in one swing."

"Ok, nevermind then…" I couldn't see her, but I could almost feel her shoulders droop in disappointment.

"You know, why don't you test yourself in another way? Punch a wall. See what happens," I suggested and immediately the floating pair of boots and gloves ran over to the side of the room and…

Boom!

"God, it's so unfair that I can't use Bravera to deck Mirio just once," I mumbled to myself as Toru cheered even louder at the massive hole she had just carved out of the wall.

"Alright villains, your five minutes to plan are up! Heroes, you may now proceed into the building," All Might's voice rang throughout the building.

"Welp, looks like you're going to have to do this on only easy mode," I said just as the building was frosted over with frigid ice.

Toru poked her frozen feet, somehow registering as an attack as a blaze washed over her lower body and freed her from being grounded in place. I, having already expected this outcome, had already taken the liberty of anchoring myself to the ceiling after switching to my Ravager Paradigm.

"Oi, Izuku," Toru called out to me.

"Yeah?"

"Here, please take care of these until I come back," she said, after taking off the rest of her clothes. The only way I could now perceive her presence was by the floating roll of capture tape.

"Good luck," I hummed, and she was off.

I remained alone in the room with the prop bomb as our ultimate contingency, bored out of my mind as Toru was taking her sweet time.

At least three minutes would go by before All Might's voice announced, "Young Todoroki has been captured!"

Then, it was radio silent for another five minutes before All Might announced, "Young Tsunotori has been captured! The Villain Team wins!"

Before heading down to the viewing room to get our critiques, Toru ran back over to the room I was left to guard, and I handed her the vestiges that made up her "hero costume."

"You and me," I looked to where Toru's face would be, "We'll make a most overpowered and broken team."

"Hell yeah!" She went in for a high-five and…

Boom!

A shockwave shattered all the windows on the floor we were on.

Thank god my reflexes had been trained to the level they currently stood, else I might not have been able to switch to my Commando Paradigm quickly enough and match Toru's still ungodly strength.

"Careful with that," I play-scolded her, "or you might just make pancakes out of our classmates."

...

"Toru was obviously the MVP," just about everyone, me included, agreed.

"She did all the work, single handedly defeating both heroes with decisiveness and tact," Iida added.

"She was a total freaking badass, ignoring Todoroki's cold ice, using ninja stealth to win without fighting… I think I'm in love," Kaminari said.

"It's a good thing she didn't try fighting them, or did you forget she reduced a brick wall to rubble before the match started?" Momo said.

"The homies clappin' hands alone shattered all the windows on the fourth floor, fam," Camie added.

As everyone was praising and putting Toru up on a pedestal, I noticed that she had started shrinking in on herself.

"But I wouldn't have been able to do anything without Izuku's empowering spells," Toru quietly said.

That got everyone's attention.

"Izuku's the one who made me strong and resilient enough to ignore Todoroki's initial freeze attack, and… without the extra speed he gave me, I probably wouldn't have been able to capture either of the two heroes before they had a chance to notice me. He's the only reason I had the power to do everything I did and win, so, I think… he should get the MVP."

"Hmm… forget all that nonsense," I said, clearing the melancholic air the tainted the mood. "All I did was watch over the bomb like a pretend gargoyle. And sure," I rolled my eyes, "I buffed you before you went in to complete the mission, but I wasn't the one out there risking any bodily harm. I wasn't the one whose stealth and skills were being tested."

"You—" having made my way over to her side, I wrapped my right arm around her and pushed her such that our shoulders were touching, "—were undeniably the most valuable player." I was probably looking right into her eyes, mere inches away, as I smiled and said, "I was just the most valuable support!"

The first sign I noticed that something had gone horribly awry was the terse silence that now engulf our class, even after the moment passed and I had said my piece. Then, in that quiet state of confusion, I noticed that Toru was trembling and breathing in quick, almost scared, bursts.

However, before I could question things or even attempt to heal her as a Medic, Kaminari loudly shouted, "The balls on this guy! He's still holding the naked invisible girl!"

"Oh, uh… right," I honestly forgot.
