Chapter 2: The Four Knights

I flow with the crowd and meet up with my "friends".

"Hey, Trisha! How are you doing?"

"Oh, Aurora! I'm great! Would you like an apple?"

"No, I'm fine."

"Have you heard of the new troops? The ones with the handsome leaders? They're such a hot topic nowadays!"

"Oh?"

"Aw, I thought you'd be interested, since you always ask about the hot topic..."

"Hmm, have any of them caught your interest?"

"Yeah! The Lightning God! He's so cool!"

"Lightning God?"

"Yeah! They're nicknames! The Lightning God: Ryan, Flame Knight: Justin, Water Dragon: Dylan, and Wind Whisperer: Kyle!"

"Huh..."

That night when I returned, I thought about Trisha's excitement. She'll definitely not be like that if she found out that I'm the King. But, I'm glad to have a friend, even if it's mostly fake. I decide to pay her back for her help all the time.

I summon the Commander of the Army of Kindle Kingdom.

"You called, your majesty?"

"I want to give a small mission to the one nicknamed 'Lightning God'," I demand sharply.

"Uh, your majesty is your voice okay?"

I knew this would happen.

"Lift your head," and once he did I looked down on him,"Yes, I am the King, yes I am a woman, and yes I have red eyes."

I could see his face filled with disgust. I glower and glare down at him. Then, I throw the knife with the letter attached an inch from his hand.

"Give the Lightning God this letter. It is filled with the instructions of what to do for the mission. You are to send it without complaints and if the mission isn't complete the army WILL pay with lives."

I see him shudder and I grin.

The letter is quite interesting, if I do say so myself. I had commanded the Lightning God, Ryan to go and meet Trisha. He needs an autograph prepared and must serve her, that saying, the work of a servant. I said that she must be treated with respect equal to a noble and he is to spend the day after tomorrow with her. I can't wait to see the Lightning God having to get off his 'high horse' to serve a peasant.

I get up quite early the next day, eager to see my beautiful work in action. I hear the horns blow as the troops enter the capital.

"Now entering... the newest troops, Troop 1969!"

I spy four guys leading the troop and hear a bunch of annoying squeals. I pounce on a roof to get a good look at the people down below. Hmm... the first person in the front has blue and white armor, very pale skin, blue eyes and blonde hair. I jot down some notes. He's really narcissistic... The guy behind him has red armor, dark red hair and black-colored eyes. After that were the most quiet ones of them. Light blue armor and silver armor. I honestly couldn't care less about them, but I do need to care for my kingdom.

I head to the palace, putting on glasses and a wig to suit the color of the lens I'm wearing today. I also do an especially aMaZiNg makeover for myself. I call it the "pig", because it makes me look like a weird pig of a human. Now, no one should be able to recognize me! I put my finishing touches and dress in a maid's outfit. Perfect!

I wander into the palace and hear some noisy voices.

"Hey! Ryan! I heard you have an independent mission-"

It was the Flame Knight, Justin and the other popular knights of 1969.

"Yeah, I wonder what it is," he responds immediately with a weird excited look on his face.

They enter the conference room and I follow with tea. While they seat themselves in front of the Commander, I pour tea. Suddenly, a hand grabs me. I look back to see the 'Lightning God'.

"Hey, what's a cutie doing as a maid?"

I hid my giggle. Cutie? You must be blind! I wore heavy makeup and made myself look like a literal pig serving as a maid! Do you know how many layers of pink paint I wore?! The 'Wind Whisperer' stood up and grabbed the arm that the 'Lightning God' was using to grab me. They stare intently at each other for a moment, and then the 'Lightning God' let go. The 'Wind Whisperer' looks at me and I nod my head in 'respect' pushing the cart to the end of the room where I stand. I hear the Commander sigh.

"Ryan, you have a very important independent mission. I do not know what the King is aiming for with this mission, but it must be done perfectly," he says tiredly as he passes the letter to Ryan.

Ryan reads it and responds, "Oh? I need to serve a noble? Then all I have to do is guard her right?"

"I've done investigating, it is not a noble, a commoner actually..."

"WHAT?!"

All four of them simultaneously were bewildered. I snicker in the corner. They should see their expressions right now. I even see the Commander trying to hide a laugh at their faces. It was the most amazing sight ever. The Water Serpent, Dylan looks like he got someone else's vomit on himself, the other looked like he's a kindergartner trying to do Calculus. The best expressions were Ryan's and Justin's. Ryan's face was tilted and he looked like @#$%^&*() - I can't even- Justin looked like he saw a ghost. He patted Ryan's back, "Good luck man... laundry and all...."

It's amazing, seeing the most popular knights of the kingdom in this state.

"Ahem," the Commander tries to calm himself.

They exit the door like children who failed their tests. A couple moments later, their faces reverted back to their normal states, and they strolled down the hall. I push my cart silently a couple meters behind… and eavesdrop.

"Good luck Ryan..."

"Yeah, we're cheering for you..."

"What is the King thinking? Making me, a famous knight serve as a servant for a commoner! Oh I get it, he must be jealous."

"Pfft!" I laugh quietly. He wishes! He really is narcissistic.

I see them head back to their quarters. A couple meters before the entrance to the quarters, I push my cart to the side. I look up and see the Wind Whisperer. He nodded in respect to me. His silver-colored hair glistened by the sunlight. Did he find out that I'm following them or something? I nod quickly and turn away.
