King’s Haki

The One piece world. The One punch man world. Both of these worlds have powers that are odd and evade logic. Unless you don’t use logic or attempt to understand their mechanisms. Samuel is just different. He’s not a inhabitant of either world, but of that of the watchers and readers. Samuel was a gaming nerd and loved anime as well. The system works in that mind set. It gives quests and objectives but lets him live how he so chooses. Watch King become the strongest hero in he world. Behind Saitama. Obviously.

A King’s game

Three weeks later, Samuel was at the canyon where Saitama and Genos had their fight. For the better part of a month he had been training his body to handle the strength necessary for Haki.

It was the crazy and insane workout done in One Piece that he put himself through, as he had no intention of waiting three years and going bald to gain Saitama's limitless power and apathy.

He didn't need to be the strongest hero, that was saitama. He just needed to be strong enough to rank at the top of the S-Class heroes. And there was no better way than with Haki.

*Ping*

'Huh? The hell is this?' King was not amused about the loud ring that had just gone through his head. Closing his eyes to bear the pain of the unexpected headache, he eventually opened them to see a floating tab atop his head.

Note: Haki stages go from "Beginner", "Amateur", "Intermediate", "Semi-Proficient", "Proficient", "Legendary" and lastly, "Ultimate". Shanks' abilities all rank in proficient barring Observation that reaches Legendary status. You can still surpass him.

Huh. Although he wasn't expecting this, he shouldn't be surprised considering who's body he's inhabiting. Any power he'd gain would obviously be game related.

He wasn't expecting to get Shanks' abilities, but then again, they do have a similar facial scar. Perhaps to use the powers of another world's characters, those two people needed a resemblance.

Atleast Shanks was very strong. He should be able to make S-Class easily with this. He just needed to fully master Shanks powers, and from what he can tell, he can grow stronger than that.

The perks also made sense. It seems the original King's influence is still present. Although the "Quick Recovery" perk seemed to be his own influence, the rest probably came from the old King.

"Looking at the whole thing I must be high C-Class  right now" King said to himself. He is actually closer to low B-Class, but hey, what's the difference really?

"A week should be enough to get to High A-Class. I just need to get into some fights and take out some monsters." King had a plan made. He needed the battle experience anyway.

New Quest!  (Quest 1 of 5)

'A Quest!' King was surprised at the information just appeared before him. He wasn't expecting his first quest to appear out of nowhere.

The task was large, but looking over all these rewards, he felt it was justified. The penalty was a bit much, but that's usually how these quests go. You just take this more seriously because it's your life now, not just some progress lost.

He can do this.

"Wait.. nearby?" King mutters, heavily confused.

His newly awakened observation Haki was the reason why he wasn't completely killed by the fatal attempt on his life, but he still took some damage to his left arm as he dodged.

The monster that attacked him was built like a giant dung-beetle, with a large blade-like horn and 6 insect legs. It didn't look like a demon level threat, so King didn't take it seriously at first.

When the damn thing started spitting out explosive guns faster than an AK4, King finally realized why it was a demon level threat.

Dodging to the right, King evaded all the attacks until the last one flew past him and he charged straight at the monster.

He coated his fist with Armament Haki and threw a right hook with all his power behind it.

Surprisingly the monster went flying, but it hadn't taken a significant amount of damage thanks to its hard shell. Recovering from the hit, the monster was clearly angry. King could tell it would be much more violent when fighting him now.

Its blade horn began to glow an eerie red, and emit a buzzing and humming sound.  King didn't know exactly what an attack like that was going to do, but he had ideas and didn't want to confirm any of them.

'That sound is unnerving'. King muttered anxiously.

He has no choice but to rely on his Observation Haki as the monster begins moving at frightening speed towards him.

An attack straight through the naval that would leave him transparent. The best way to avoid injury is to face it head on and attempt to overpower it with his Armament Haki. The weak spot of this creature is beneath its horn, as it is part of its skull and doesn't protect its brain as well as the rest.

All of this information flew through his head in less than a second.

The impact was loud. Louder than any noise he had ever caused himself in his previous life.

Fortunately, his hand seemed to be fine. The monster on the other hand had its brain turned to paste and the horn collided with the opposite end of the skull.

Unfortunately its shell was too hard for it to escape from the collision, so the bulge of blood and brain was quite revolting.

Feeling queasy, King continued on his path to strength with a resolute look on his face as he walked deeper into the forest.

"One down, nine to go." He mutters.
