1 INTRODUCTION

Have you ever calm down, to carefully observe the movement of people in the streets, or in the market places? Always in a hurry, right? It's as if they would never be able to get to wherever it is they're going if they don't move that way. They always walk, randomly and recklessly, like they are being pursued by some kind of invisible personality.

They just have no time for anything else, order than their businesses. They mind their business so much that they barely think about their health, let alone anyone else's. But the very moment you, deliberately or indeliberately, step on their toe ('cause they don't care) they would have the whole time in the world to let you know how unpleased they are for your action. Some would unleash the whole anger in them, leaving no drop.

As a car driver, you would agree with me, especially in Africa, how impatient people can be. You dare not delay an African on the road. It's either they're impatiently trying to overtake you or you are in for insults of your life. They never care about what causes the delay. The fact that you delay them is enough reason for you to be very stupid!

People are just too busy with activities, yet they never find enough time to finish whatever they plan for the day.

They lose their sense of 'sight', because all they are concerned about is what they're doing or where they are going, and they fail to see the person next to them, who is in need of their attention.

They lose their sense of 'hearing' the voice of others who need their assistance, because they are choked up with anxiety and laxity.

They also lose their sense of 'reasoning', 'cause their brains are occupied with so many things they can't actually comprehend, yet they still forget to do so much which they really wanted to do.

The world is really suffocating in despair, humanity is suffering and people are sad, sorrowful and shivering in servitude, scandal, sinfulness and separation.

They need shelter, a shoulder, and a Saviour.

Whatever you may be going through is just a fraction of what some are facing. Many people live with unspeakable situations. It's as if the weight of the world rests on their shoulders. Sometimes they wish they could run to somewhere far away from the world, void of disturbance, distress, disdain and darkness.

For crying out loud, sometimes we need to pause for a moment and take a break. It's not always about 'me', 'I', 'myself'. It's way beyond that. Have a kind of sober reflection, 'cause with the way humanity is recklessly going, nothing might ever change for good, until we have a rethink about our way of living, and have a different perception towards life. It baffles me when I see people hurt others. They've got really enough time to waste. While others are trying to see how they can judiciously use the short time they've got to making a difference in the lives of people, some would sit down, to map out plans and strategies on how they would either end the existence of others or deprive them of whatever good they might have struggled to build. Then I ask myself, is it the same fragile and sensitive heart I've got in here that these people have in there?

Furthermore, the sole purpose of everyone is to live a fulfilled life, which is success. But then, is success really successful enough if it has not affected the one next to you, making them succeed?

What's your perspective actually about life? Just survival of the fittest, or success of the smartest? What are we actually competing for in life? Fame, fund, fulfilment? If that's your view about life then am sorry, you are definitely missing it!

I sometimes wish people's life profile could be written on the forehead for everyone to read, maybe that would help to straighten up few things. Many wouldn't have to be disrespected, and some who don't deserve it, might just lose their respect, right? But does it even matter? Titles, positions, prosperities and all achievements are just temporary, but the manner at which you show affection to people, regardless of their profiles or achievements, will never be forgotten. So, it's not how much you have done or achieved for yourself that counts, but what does count is simply how much you have been able to touch lives.

Success is not yet achieved until you:

S- Serve humanity

U- Untie the brokenhearted

C- Care for the helpless

C- Crucify self

E- Empower the weary, wayward and workless

S- Strengthen the weak

S- Secure the lost.

*SERVE HUMANITY

If only leaders (African leaders especially) would understand that the sole purpose of leadership is to serve, Africa wouldn't be in the state of mess that it is right now. Many find their positions as an avenue to acquire wealth for themselves. They work for their pockets rather than for the people. Graduates roam around, no good jobs with good pay. No wonder youths are no longer interested in school anymore. "What use is school if it can't acquire me a good source of living?" So they say to themselves. They then resolve to finding a quick way to making the money, by indulging in dubious activities.

*UNTIE THE BROKENHEARTED

The "brokenhearted" are people who are weakened, crushed, or destroyed in spirit. They are in bondage, hoping for a way out. Every single word you say, has an implication on someone's life. It could destroy or fix.

*CARE FOR THE HELPLESS

The first thing people say when they hear about the helpless is, "I don't have money." That's because they don't actually know what it means to care. The helpless are in need of "hope" and "elevation" and "love" and "peace" and "light" and "encouragement" and "strength" and "solace", which is why we must give them a reason to live, whether we've got money or not. There's an extent to which affection could go in saving a soul which money can't, even half way.

*CRUCIFY SELF

Thinking less of yourself and more about the wellbeing of others goes a long way in changing lives. Someone said, "The best way to forget about your problems is by solving that of others." Am not trying to say you don't have problems, or you do not deserve attention, nah... All am saying is, most times when you focus too much on yourself or your problems, there's always a tendency of wanting to have all to yourself, or becoming overwhelmed with your situations, which would make you lose sight of the most important thing in life.

*EMPOWER THE WEARY, WAYWARD AND WORKLESS

A society where there's no empowerment, the youths and young people are prone to vices.

Furthermore, you don't have to wait for the government; you are the government of your neighborhood. Do what you can to render empowerment.

EMPOWERMENT: Encourage the young ones, Motivate the weary, Provide for the workless, Organize the wayward, War against backwardness, Eradicate poverty, Rescue the perishing, Maintain peace, Elevate the downcast, Negotiate with the young ones (this goes to leaders especially), and Train talents.

*STRENGTHEN THE WEAK

The weak are men, woman, children or young ones who are incapable of struggling, or who are unable to cater for themselves, due to illness, agenesis, aging, orphanhood, et cetera. These are the categories of people who need strengthening; and which is why we are there, to be a part of those to do this. Don't let your generation wither, just because of a little water or food you are withholding to yourself.

*SECURE THE LOST

The world is wide and wild enough to expose people to the threats of predators and pestilences, and all kinds of perils.

We should therefore endeavour to S- Shelter those in need of refuge; E- Enclose those trying to hide from danger; C- Cover the nakedness of those in need of clothing; U- Umbrella those beaten by the rain of bullies and detesters and destroyers; R- Reach out to those in need of Salvation; and E- Edify the younger generation, 'cause the future is theirs, and this future would only be secured if they (the younger generation) can be moulded and furnished properly in the right way.
