77 Was It A Dream or Was It Real?

Since I didn't have a blink of sleep last night because I stayed awake with Forest, I went to bed to have a quick rest, I badly need it.

Everything is a mess right now. I don't know whether I should be happy or sad. I just found out that we have allies from Beta and Delta Kingdom, but the Charlie Kingdom's fallen.

Moreover, the engagement of Forest and Sia.

I took a pillow and covered my face then I screamed as loud as I can. After taking a heavy yell, I looked at the door, but thankfully, no one heard me.

I sighed and let my arms freely fall on my side. My eyes stared at the ceiling as my mind wanders along the trail of thoughts.

I wonder if I woke up in this place without the trouble between kingdoms, a fantasy world full of magic and beauty, what could I be doing now?

Of course, if I met Forest, I guess I would be in love with him the same way I am now. Maybe I'm attending balls and having a friendly battle with the other royalties like Arias.

Everything will be nice and perfect if only this world is peaceful.

I didn't notice that I had already fallen asleep while I was imagining scenes. While I was in rest, Gerald suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Glowing lights fall from his shoulder and head like glitters as he looks down on me with a frown.

"My dear child, I'm sorry you have to go through this. If only I can break my curse, if only I can fight the king, then you wouldn't be in such agony," he said with a low voice of an old man.

He bent down and slowly, his face of a young gentleman turned into an old man with long white hair and glowing fire-colored eyes. He placed his hand on my forehead and shook his head in pain.

"I never knew that my selfish desire of making this world will only be destroyed by the same thing," he whispered.

While I continued to sleep, I dreamt about a man. He has the same colored hair like mine, has the same red eyes. He was in the human world, but he's living in the past. Suddenly, his hand holds the Sun's Tear and then the whole place surrounding him glowed like fire.

The next thing I saw was a whole different world. The sky was clear, the ground was fresh and green. It was a whole different place than Earth though it may look quite similar.

The man walked around and with his power, he has brought other people with him, all with different powers. The man I saw first has the fire power, the second one has water abilities, next was a lady with a gravity power, earth power, air then speed.

What I'm seeing is the one who first discovered this world and the first leaders of the kingdoms. They were all from the human world.

As I watch them work, the first man I saw looked at me, as if I'm with them, as if everything I'm seeing is real.

"My child, what are you doing? Don't you want to ask questions?" He said and smiled at me as he walks while holding a plan for the castle he's about to build.

I looked at him, "You created this world, that means you're my great-grandfather, aren't you?"

He nodded and let out a jolly loud laugh and pats me on the back, "Yes, that's right. But is that all you want to ask? I don't have much time and I have to build our castle," he said.

I looked at him, I can't believe this is really happening. With everything that I've been through, I guess this is real.

"Well, if you made this world with the Sun's Tear, aren't you supposed to be dead? It takes life away from you," I asked as we walk towards a tree to sit down under.

"Yes, you're right. It takes away life, but it's only because I made that promise. I told myself if someone gains this power and uses it for god knows how many times, that means they can create a hundred worlds by then. And that can cause misfortune and crime," he said then we sat down on the roots of the tree.

I nodded, if King Sorin can use that power, I guess he already made a thousand worlds for himself.

"Wait, what do you mean promise?" I asked.

"Oh, yes. Promise to myself, a curse to the next generation. Dying as a payment for the Sun's Tear's magic will be a curse for you because it will kill you."

I bit my lip as I process the information. That means, this man can make as many world as he can without having to die but we, his next generation will have to pay for our life.

"Anyway, I see that the ancestor of the kingdoms were humans too. Why do they all look different in my time?"

He looked at the people working along with him. Those with Earth powers have started to make rocks around the foundation of the caste. The people with air powers bring heavy tools and the people with speed powers do the foundation on the other parts of the castle.

Everyone's working together, everyone is friends. It looks so peaceful and I hope it goes back like this again.

"I see, that will happen someday," his voice became soft as he watches everyone work, "You see, the more you use your power, the more you'll associate with it. Maybe in your time, everyone has used their powers so much that slowly their body adapted to their powers."

He looked at the ones who make water out of nowhere to give to the workers a drink, "I'm guessing the Beta Clan turned into fish?" He chuckled and looked at me.

I nodded and smiled, "Yes, a bit like fish, but not really. They have scales and gills but they still have the body of a human. Some have tentacles, some look like mermaids."

He nods slowly while looking like he's in his head imagining, then he looked at the ones who have air powers and beamed another bright smile, "Did they turn into birds? Or maybe they turned into little tornados?"

I cracked a laugh, "No!" I yelled in between laughter, "No," I repeated as I wipe a tear from my eyes, "They still look like humans, but... you see, there will be a problem."

His face full of laughter turned dark, he looked at me, waiting for my next words.

"One of your grandsons, my uncle, will use his power to manipulate other kingdoms. He wants to take the other kingdom as his, and he will not stop. He already attacked the Charlie Kingdom, the ones who have gravity powers."

I moved to face him properly, I want to see that he's listening, I want to know if he believes this, yet he smiled and nodded.

"I see, I mean," he snickered, but it was full of sadness, "It's nature. People will always want something greater. That's me, I did that that's why I made this world. Power's not enough for me, I want a world for myself and now you're here, we're here."

I furrowed my brows, "Maybe you can do something? You know, tell everyone what will happen, or teach your kids to be kind and tell them to teach their children. I don't know, maybe not make kids?"

He stared at me and laughed again, "You're a funny child," he said and pats my back, "If that happens, you wouldn't exist!"

"I--" it took me a second to realize that, then I shook my head, "What I'm saying is, you're still in the past, I'm from the future, maybe you can do something to avoid what will happen."

He nodded, but his next words made me froze.

"You see, I'm from a memory, not from the past. The past is the past, my child. You can't go back to it physically, but you can through memories."

I wrinkled my nose at him, "I don't get it."

He stood up, and as I look up, I noticed my surrounding blurring.

"I'm showing you this memory, but don't worry, we'll meet again in your time. I may look different, well, it's because I'm in a different body by then, but I will try to help you by then."

I stood up, but what caught my attention was, I saw the castle get built as if I'm watching a fast-forwarded video. I saw the whole surroundings develop.

One by one, houses and buildings were built. The grass turned into cement, the population increased, everything flowed swiftly in front of me.

"You'll understand this world once we meet again, my child."

I looked up but I was blinded by a bright light, then I felt myself opening my eyes.

"Gerald?" I mumbled as stare at Gerald's back while he was tying the curtains by the window.

He turned around and for a minute, I thought I saw the old man.

"You fell asleep, your highness. I'm sorry if I woke you up, I just thought it's getting hot in your room so I opened the windows and tied the curtains."

I smiled as I sat down, "You never do that before, that's funny. But you know what else is funny," I said, "My dream."

I sighed, I wonder who that old man is now. He said we'll meet again, but that's impossible, he's supposed to be dead by now.
