55 Hitting My Head Wasn't That Bad

I was excused for the lectures with the old man for the next trial for another day, and I'm here, lying on the bed, staring at the ceiling, wondering what that letter means.

I was able to tell Aiven what my father told me, but I left out that part when he said that I should stay away from the Prince.

Now that we're sure that I am King Sorin's niece, he now knows why they would want me, but still, why?

My head started to hurt as we discuss other possibilities that may be the cause why they want me, and the children also started getting wilder, that's why we had to cut the conversation.

Aiven sent the kids back while he attends a meeting on the castle about the past and future possible threats and accidents that the Alpha Kingdom gives.

"Miss."

I turned my head and saw Granny standing by the door. She frowned with a soft smile as she walks towards me. She's been gone for a while, and a lot happened during that time.

"How are you feeling?" She asks as she caresses my cheek, "I apologize for being absent when you needed me."

I sat on the bed and gave her a smile, "I'm fine now, my head still hurts a bit, but I'm alright."

A lot did happen, and do I have to tell her that my father came here and told me things?

Among those in the castle, she's the only one who knows about my knowledge of my identity, but she also works for the castle. If she found out that my father came here, she'll definitely tell King Ludovic.

Regin arrived and told what happened to Granny. I was left to take a rest on my bed while they talk to each other on the couch.

But then, we heard noises outside the mansion, Granny and Regin stood up to see what it was. But since they don't tell me what was happening, I stood up and looked down on the window.

I saw Sia rushing to the field with her knight, I heard one maid say that Sia's mother was critically ill as of the moment, and she's dying to see Sia.

The young girl looked terrified as she runs to the field where she has her dragon waiting for her.

She was just happily telling me stories about her mother earlier, and now she's afraid of what may be happening to her.

"I hope her mother's fine," I sighed as I go back to bed.

It will be painful for her if she loses her mother. She's her only support and protection. If something happens to her, she'll be trapped with her controlling father.

The next day came, but Sia wasn't back. But it's not the only news, Aiven came to me in the morning and said that no one was allowed to enter the mansion except if they have business with the castle. It was for my safety, but still, not even Regin knows about the letter.

He said that they are trying to avoid panic around me because of my state, and they know if Regin and the others start to suddenly be cautious, I'll only be stressed out.

They were confident with the security of the mansion, and Regin's power. They said I'm safe and of course, I know that. I trust those who are near me.

While I was having lunch, Prince Forest suddenly visits me and even joined me.

He looked very stressed and tired, but he still manages to smile and laugh around with me. I know he's doing his best, but I don't want him getting hurt or sick. I just wish this all will stop.

If only I can help him.

"Aiven was a big cry baby," Prince Forest chuckled as he wipes his soft red lips after we ate, "When he still wasn't able to control his powers, whenever he turns into a wolf, he'll cry."

"Why?" I can't help but smile whenever I see him smile, I don't really get some of his jokes earlier, but I can't resist but laugh just to make him continue smiling.

"Because I'll give him a collar and I'll walk him around the castle, it was really fun," he said then he laughed with his eyes wandering in his memories.

I know he's a bully when they were kids, but it sounds like Aiven doesn't hold any grudge at Prince Forest. They still like annoying each other and they don't even bother using any formalities.

"By the way, the next trial will be postponed for a few days. I'm busy on the date it was supposed to happen, that's why you're given a chance to practice more," Prince Forest stood up and reached out his hand to me, "And I'm giving you the chance to practice with me."

He smiled at me widely, waiting for me to take his hand.

"But what are we practicing for?" I asked as my cheeks heat up while I place my hand on his warm hand.

Lulu and the others were watching, but it was Lala and Lili who were going crazy while watching us.

If Prince Forest and I have a fan club, I guess Lala and Lili will be the president and Vice President, and it's better to have supporters than to have haters.

"Are you practicing the kingdom's traditional dance?" He asked as he leads me to the middle of the room.

We just finished eating, but it's fine to dance around if it's him.

"No, I think that's in my next lesson. I read about it but I'm don't fancy dancing that's why I ignored it," I shrugged as we paused.

He stood in front of me, smiled, and for the grace of apples, I thought I was about to die.

Why does he have to be so cute? I want to pat his head and play with his hair right this moment.

"I'll teach you then," he said and bowed, forwarded to me with a single step, placed his hand on my waist, and held my hand on his other hand. "We'll start with a simple waltz, just follow me."

Granny suddenly started clapping, then as I follow each step of Prince Forest, I noticed that the clapping was a form of counting.

"You're getting the movement right," he nodded, "But please don't be stiff. Just follow the rhythm."

I swear to apples, I'm stiff because I'm so close to him, and he's holding me tightly. How can I relax if I'm next to the person I love the most?

"And..." he softly spoke, then he suddenly swayed his body, "Sway," he said and my body automatically followed his movements, "Just dance, Amy."

After a few more dances, I felt my body swaying and feeling the steps, I wasn't even thinking about the closure I have with the Prince anymore. I was just dancing, just like he said I should.

"Wow," Lala clapped her hand, "That was beautiful."

"You're a natural, Miss," Lulu smiled at me, then Lili acted as if she's about to have a heart attack.

"I'm in love with you two," she whispered.

But then, Granny cleared her throat and glared at the maids, "Manners, ladies. Lili, stop doing that disgraceful action, you're in front of the Prince."

Regin just clapped his hand as we walk towards them, but Prince Forest hasn't let my hand go. He was still holding them, and will I tell him to let it go? Of course not.

I'll enjoy this split moment for a while, I can feel my energy filling up as his warmth transfers to my body, his fingertips felt as if my whole world was on it. The weird fuzzy feeling suddenly arises as I stare at him.

His beautiful hair, his sweet smile, and his charming voice... I love him so much.

"Miss Amelia, please control yourself," Granny cleared her throat while she stares at me.

I looked away when Prince Forest turned to me, I tried to hide my smile, but he held my cheeks between his hand and made me look at him.

I heard Granny gasped with how 'inappropriate' we are acting, while Lili and Lala shrieks.

"Let me stare at you too," Prince Forest spoke as he squeezes my cheeks.

My lips were starting to pout as he starts to squeeze me like a stress ball, but his cute expression was nothing, and if I have to be squeezed for millions of times just to see his face, I'll do it.

"Pardon me," Granny sighed, "But that's enough," she said then she pulls me away from Prince Forest.

No, why does she have to be a killjoy?

"Your Highness, I know how much you adore Miss Amelia, but please, restrict your actions. You two are not yet married, so please," Granny shook her head as she pushes me to sit far from the Prince.

I want to laugh with this boundary Granny is trying to make, when she didn't know Prince Forest already visited me during the night.

I know she'll lose it if she finds out.

"Then, that means, Amy, be sure to win for us to get married," Prince Forest smiled at me.

But those words... they sound as if he's proposing to me. My whole face and even my ears suddenly burned as I imagine him proposing to me on one knee. Will I even see him do that?

I mean, once there's a winner, it's automatic that he'll get married to her, no need to propose, right?

I look away to hide my blushing face. I can't believe I'm flying so high with my imaginations.

"I almost forgot," Prince Forest walked towards me, "I have something for you."

He took something from his pocket, then I saw a necklace with a shinning violet circle pendant with a crescent moon shape hole in the middle, and when the light hit it, I saw the stars and the galaxy on it. If the light didn't hit the pendant, it looks nothing special.

"I just saw this and I thought you would like it, I was about to get the sunset-colored one, but I thought," Prince Forest started stuttering with an embarrassed face, worried that I don't like his gift.

I smiled and took his hand that holds the necklace, "I love it," I said, "I love what's after the sunset, thousand endless stars and the moon that shines so bright," I whispered as I turn around and held my hair up.

He put the necklace on me, and I swear to apples, it was the best moment I experienced ever.

It was not a proposal, but it felt like it was.

As I stare into the beautiful pendant, Prince Forest stood in front of me, pulled something behind his shirt, and revealed a crescent moon pendant that looks exactly like the hole on my pendant.

I was excited to see if it was, I pulled his pendant, and put it on mine, and I was right. I filled the night sky.

I smiled and looked at him.

I heard Granny gasped once again.

I was an inch away from his face. I pulled his necklace too low, since I'm short, and he's tall, he leaned towards me, and I didn't notice that he was this close.

I stood frozen while gazing over his breath-taking eyes and from it, I can see my reflection.

The moon that completes my night sky is here, staring at me, and no matter what darkness comes, I know he'll be my light.

Granny once again pulled us away and even had to tell the Prince to go back to the castle.

"I'll see you again, Amy," Prince Forest smiled to me one last time before he left.

I lied on my bed, with a wide smile and blushing cheeks.

I guess hitting my head wasn't bad.
