34 Beg the gods

The gown they showed me yesterday arrived just earlier, and to my surprise, the size was perfect for me. No adjustments needed, and it looks astounding on me.

My curved silhouette was emphasized, and the round full wide skirt was perfect for my shape, and the corset doesn't make me feel like I'm suffocating like I thought it would.

"It's marvelous!" The designer commented with little claps as he stares at me.

I smiled at him and turned towards the mirror, now I look like I'm from this world.

I've been wearing simple dresses since I came here, while everyone else, especially the brides, kept on wearing these types of gowns.

Well, I'd rather use simple dresses than this gown every day. It just doesn't fit for everyday wear, since I was used to wearing comfortable clothes.

The black lace around my waist and bust gave the dress a sexy look, while the red cloth makes it a bit edgy.

I twirl to see how much the skirt will move whenever I move, and for the love of apples, it's the same as Cinderella's dress in the movie.

It was soft and magical to watch while I sway.

I beamed a satisfied smile at Granny who chose the dress, while the maids stare at me in awe.

"Miss, you look like a Princess," Lili said with an amazed expression, "I bet you'll be the most beautiful tonight."

I shyly nodded, I mean, I do look drop-dead stunning in this gown, I won't bring myself down.

"I saw the Princess Tellusia's gown," the designer whispered to us while pulling me, and everyone else in a close circle for us to hear him.

"She's going to wear an evergreen breath-taking sheath gown," he murmured while nodding his head while mocking, "And it doesn't suit her because she's a rectangular shape since she's still a child, they're pushing her to look mature."

The designer pouted his lips with his right brow arched up as he bad-mouths the Princess' gown.

Lili and Lala chuckled, while Lulu and Granny sighed in disbelief of what the designer just said.

After we all discussed other things I need, such as make-up, shoes, and hairstyle, the designer went on to call for the next person-in-charge.

"I never thought a whole day is needed for a ball preparation," I stare down on my reflection while eating a snack as the hair designer enters the room.

"Yes, Miss, there are a lot of things needed. Hours are required just to finish your make-up and another set of hours for your hair," Lulu commented as she serves me tea.

The room started to smell like chemicals, and if they use another hair spray, I'm pretty sure I'll have an allergy.

The hair designer smiled at me through the mirror while she finishes the style.

Since my hair is a medium-length, and quite wavy, the hair designer chose to create an up-do for a change.

She curled my hair more for an added volume, tucked it in a sweet soft low bun, put a few little red roses hair decoration, pulled a few locks of hair from my temple to create an edge on my face, and voila! My hair's done.

"I never imagined it would turn out to be this ravishing," the hair-stylist said with her mouth slightly opened in shock.

"What do you think it would look like?" Lili irritated asked the woman.

"Miss Amy's the most beautiful here! You should've expected it to look perfect." Lala nodded with her arms folded.

I also didn't expect it to turn this way, I was imagining myself with my round head to look like an egg with a bun, but this hair-stylist was good in managing hair and arranging it to suit the face shape.

I never looked good with my hair tied, especially that my hairline is a bit high and it makes me look like a freaking egg.

"It's already noon, she should get her make-up done, Regin will be here after two hours with the carriage," Granny said as she takes a glance on my hair.

She looked satisfied with the result with her soft nod, then she went back to sit down while folding a shawl for me to use in the ball, while my red cloak prepared beside her.

She said that it'll be freezing in the ball hall and I have to bring a shawl with me, even though my gown has sleeves, she said I'll still feel cold.

After a few minutes, the make-up artist arrived, and she only did a simple make-up, as per my request.

The hair spray already made me feel on edge, and sniffing too many make-up chemicals will start to clog my nose.

After a few more minutes, Regin arrived, and to his surprise, his annoying miss in now a pretty miss.

He looks straight at my face with a flushed cheek for a second, then he raised his brows at me, "You look like a doll," he commented then he walked towards me.

"I'll take that as a compliment," I smiled proudly at him, but his scoff made me crease my brows.

"...a cursed doll," he continued then he gave me a blue gemstone.

I mocked him as I take the stone and put it in my pocket. They told us to take the stone which will serve as a GPS for us. Our knights will know where we are in case we go off running around, and I know they made this because of me.

"Are you ready?" Regin asked.

I nodded. I don't want to go to the ball, but if I get to see the Prince, I'll go, and I'll also be sure that he's safe.

But, I wasn't ready with the carriage we're going to ride.

I stood frozen while staring at the pair of white pegasus pulling the carriage.

I didn't think what we're using to go to the Delta Kingdom, I even forgot that the Princess Tellusia rode a freaking dragon on her way back.

"You have Pegasus here?" I asked as I walk towards the majestic animal.

Their fur was shining and as I run my hands through their body, it felt like I was touching the clouds.

They cheerfully neigh as I touch their wings, which was smooth and warm to touch.

"Miss, let's go. The sun is about to set, I'm sure you'd love to watch the day to end while we're flying," Regin called opened the carriage for me with my cloak shawl hanging on his arm.

The maids and granny bid me goodbye and with a short run of the Pegasus, we began soaring towards the sky.

I never rode an airplane before, but I'm sure this is the same feeling you'll get when you're no longer by the ground.

I clenched my cloak as my stomach felt as if it went up to my chest.

I saw Regin staring at me, making sure that I am fine.

I can't say that I may not feel motion-sickness with this type of travel, but after seeing the glorious sight from up here, my mind began to relax and enjoy.

The endless forest, the peach-colored clouds, the cold fresh breeze, and the sun touching the horizon romantically made me forget everything for a second.

"The Delta Kingdom is an hour away if you're flying," Regin let out a sigh while his eyes were glued outside while the sky turns dark, "Miss, I know that you're aware that something is wrong. We both know about what the Princess has done to the ex-residencia, and with that, we can't trust her or her kingdom."

I sucked my lips, this suddenly made me feel the wave of fear I had earlier.

Of course, something is wrong.

And that's why I'm worried about the Prince.

"Do you think they're the ones sending the threat?" I asked.

Regin didn't move, but his eyes shifted to the right while thinking.

"We can't say they are guilty, but we can't disregard the possibility."

I stared at my intertwined fingers, I want to stay with the Prince, I want to make sure that he's going to be fine. But I can't do that.

Just what other secrets does the Princess have? Were not even sure whether she's the only one hiding secrets.

I won't let anyone hurt Prince Forest, I don't know what I'll do if something happens to him.

"Miss, everything will be fine," Regin assured me.

I looked at him, and he's staring at me with a fierce look, an appearance that shows that I'm not the only one who wants the Prince to be safe.

"I hope so," I whispered as I beg the gods to keep everyone out of danger.
