1 The Festival

The sun was shining through the window into the purple pastel and white coloured bedroom. The clock was around 9 AM and there had just been breakfast.

I was sitting on a chair with a table beside me.

Two maids were in the process of finding a beautiful dress for our kingdoms festival. Which is held once a year. Always the same date.

May 10 was always the day of the festival and it also lasted only that day and must not be broken. The festival was for all the peasants, the rich and others where everyone had fun whether they were servants or peasants. No one looked down on each other and everyone put on their nice clothes.

The two maids were putting different things together. They changed all the time. Maybe a little too much time could go by. But tomorrow was the day I have been waiting for since last year, May 10th.

Last year I promised Zachary that we would meet at the angel fountain where we would then enjoy the festival together. Zachary is also the Crown Prince of the Castiel Kingdom. I'm just already looking forward so much to seeing him.

The maids were finally finished and had created a good set of clothes. A purple pastel colored dress with white shoes and a purple pastel colored ribbon for the hair, but of course also a silver necklace. I'm definitely ready for the festival tomorrow.

I woke up early in the morning when the two maids came in. Which I'm incredibly happy about. They're a couple of twins. Rose and Anastasia. They have always been there for me and have really been there even in the difficult times with my parents when we had our quarrels.

They took out the set of clothes they made yesterday and started helping me change.

When we were done, the door opened up in a giant bang and I got scared by the bang. It was my older brother Harvey. or more my stepbrother Harvey.

My mother died 2 years ago. So when she died my father took his mistress up as first wife. Marie, as she is now called. She got Harvey and he was supposed to be the heir of it all if my mom didn't have a boy back then before she died. My dad loved my mom so much but Marie kept taking the chance from my mom. So the day she gave birth to me, my dad was obviously happy, but still not very happy. Later in the evening he made love with Marie and it made my mother heart broken. Marie also had something to do with only giving boys. So my mother chose me to be her only child. She was also really happy for me and so was my dad because I am the only girl out of 8 kids.

I am the 4th born of all the children and there is about a year between the first 5 of us, and then the last 3 were a little younger. Okay maybe a lot younger than the rest of us. But then Harvey has an idea that I will be his fiancé and I do not know where he got the idea from but it is excluded with me. I have Zachary and I'm not getting married to my brother. No thanks. My other brothers also look at me as Harvey but still not so much. Which I'm happy about.

"My lovely little sister Ashlynn! What are you doing? "Said Harvey." I'm getting ready for the festival "I replied. Now he has asked so now he can go back from the trash can he came from. "Are you going to be with him ... that ugly cow ... what is his name again?" said Harvey. "His name is Zachary, Crown Prince of Castiel and he is not a cow" I replied. But you're a pig. "No sister you can not be with such a butt, you have me I can do everything you need," said Harvey. Oh my Lord can you disappear from my sight you monkey. Here comes an apology. "Harvey, now you better go again, I still have to fix something. Goodbye," I said. Pushed him out the door and slammed it before he could say goodbye again. 3 .. 2 .. 1 .. "CURSES THAT ZACHARY" Harvey shouted outside the door. Well now he's at least far away.

I went over to the window and saw that the festival had quietly started. "Girls I want to go down to the angel fountain now" I said to Rose and Anastasia. They waved me out the door and started tidying up my room.

I came out on the street and there were a lot of people. They greeted everyone and they were all really happy. Then I started walking between them. I had to go through a lot of people to get to the angel fountain. Then I finally got there and sat down on the edge of the fountain. I watched all the happy people laughing, drinking and dancing. It looked like they were having a nice day. It was also the only day of the year where I could go without maids and guards.

"Désolé mademoiselle, mais j'ai vu ta beauté et je n'ai pas pu m'empêcher de venir avec cette rose blanche" said a young guy (English Transaction: Sorry miss, but I saw your beauty and couldn't help but come up with this white rose) thank goodness I learned French when I was younger with my mother. "Merci beaucoup pour la rose, mais je suis déjà fiancé à quelqu'un d'autre, désolé" I said. (English Translation: Thanks for the rose, but I'm already engaged to someone else, sorry) He was a little shocked but gave a smile. "Ah ma faute mademoiselle, puissent-ils passer une bonne journée" he said and disappeared. (English Translation: my fault miss, may you have a good day)

"You were pretty good at that" said a voice. I turned my head to the right. A young man with a cloak on sat next to me. How long has he been sitting there? Oh, hello I did not see you at all it's my fault "I said. "That's fine," said the young man. I took one more look and saw he had blonde hair and yellow-ish eyes. He looked a little older than me maybe 18 or something. Well miss, I will go my way you will probably meet your fiancé "said the young man." Wait! "I said, But he was already gone and nowhere to be seen.

"Ashlynn!" someone yelled.
