15 Run and Confusion

It was 6 pm and I stayed quiet pressed against the wall waiting. I was in the spot again where I hoped I was hard to see. My breathing was heavy, my heartbeat fast, I was nervous but I was trying to calm down. Then there were footsteps coming closer. The time I waited for had come. Hopefully I will make it this time. I saw the person all covered in black with a bowl of dumplings with vanilla sauce in his hands outside the metal rods. It didn't see me. I watched the person unlocking the door and entering. It put the bowl with food down and I took my chance.

I ran over the person and it fell. I ran out of the cell and tried to come as far as I could. It was dark and there nearly was any light. Just a little sunshine from outside where I saw Fall Out Boy above me when I first woke up. I just ran. I didn't knew in what direction. I didn't knew if the person followed me. I didn't looked back. I just ran. It got darker and darker. I could hardly see. Then I got to a dead end. I turned around and there was noone. Noone followed me. The person must be still near the cell. I looked into the darkness.

Should I go back? Try to find another way out? As I thought, it really was a labyrinth. A chaos of different hallways, passages and corridors. Maybe there was an other way I could take. An other direction. Slowly I walked through the darkness of the aisle with the dead end on the other side in my back I left behind. I felt my fast heartbeat in my chest. It nearly hurted. I tried to stay silent. The only thing I heard were my footsteps and my breath.

The darkness was a little scary. I couldn't really see where I went but I had to be careful. After a while I reached another dead end and had to go back again. I felt like I was walking for hours and getting nowhere. I needed light. I didn't know if I could get out of here. I couldn't even see. It was so dark. I was hungry and tired. Then I desided to take a break. I sat down with my back against one of the walls and closed my eyes. My feet hurted a little from running around.

I started at the ground and rested for a few minutes. Suddenly I heard a noice. A watertrop falling down hitting the stone. It was just really quiet but it made me nervous. I had to move on. I had to get out of here. Out of this big cave, this labyrinth. Out of my misery. I kept walking through the hallways and corridors of the cave till I thought I was running in circles. Then I got to my cell from before. It was empty and noone was near it. The person was gone. Only the food it brought me hours ago was still in there. Dumplings and vanilla sauce. I sighed and kneeled down, pressing my hand through the metal rods and trying to reach the bowl but it was too far away. I was close but I couldn't touch it. Damn it. I was hungry.

Also the bed was in the cell and the door was locked. I shock at the metal rods and screamed but it was pointless. Noone would listen to me. I was once again doomed. Why was I so smart to escape the cell when I wanted back in there again now? Inside I would have still have food, a place to sleep, things to do and would be save. In this cave labyrinth outside I had nothing. Just the cold stone the darkness and maybe there were even animals. I don't know.
