17 Chapter 14: I Will Be Watching

I looked around me for just a few moments, as I felt like I should have some sort of grin on my face, and I felt like I should be happy with the situation that I was in at the current moment in time, but there just seemed to be some thing that was a bit off with all of it.

I gulped just a bit, partially due to the fact that I was not paying attention to how much of the mouse that I was biting in to. It was a very good mouse, as I could very much say that it was even better than the one that I had ate when I was in the abandoned two leg nest, but I was paying no sort of attention to the taste at this very moment in time.

My eyes were more on the fact that the cat that went by the name of Frank, who was the father of Owl of course, was staring at me at me, kind of like he had been doing for quite a bit of some time now. I could not help but to be feeling a bit off due to it, as it felt like I was having a lot of cats doing that to me as of late.

I sighed a bit to my self at the same time as well, as I knew that I that I was going to have a bit of a rough time with this cat. I knew that he did not trust me, and I felt like I could not blame him all that much, as I was sure that the story that I had told him, might have come off as a bit stupid as soon as I said it.

What else was I supposed to say to him though? There would have to be a reason for me to walk up on this 'farm' as he liked to call it. I could not just tell him some thing stupid, such as, 'I just wanted to explore'. No cat in their right mind would want to go up on this place, when they saw all of the big creatures that were all around it.

If I even said some thing like that to him in the first place, I knew that for one thing, not only would he not believe it at all, but for another, if he even some how did, he would ask me to leave, and if I chose not to, I could tell that the cat was a lot more grown, and more mature than me, than he would force me out.

I felt like I had made the right call, and I also felt like I could not blame him at the same time too, as to the fact that I had randomly shown up here, and he had quite the young kit that he had to protect, as the kit could be no older than just 2 or 3 moons, as I looked at the kit, who was staring right in to my eyes.

The kit, very much unlike his father, did not seem to be afraid since I was with him at all. Instead, he was a bit more happy, that he got to 'meet a new cat' as he had said to me. I was happy for the kit, and as far as I could tell from the kit, he was a very good kit, and would soon one day be a great cat, as well as a great father.

I shook my head, as I then looked away from the both of them at the same time as well, as it kind of was giving me quite a bit of some stress if I was not going to lie, and I kind of just wanted to get away from the both of them. There really was no where for me to go how ever, that was not besides the fact of just leaving the farm all together.

I had thought about it for just a slight bit of some time, but as to the fact that the dream had continued to come back to me. I knew that I could not do as such, no matter how much I really did not want to be here. There had to have been a reason as to why these cats had come up in to my dreams, but I just was not too sure as to what the reason was for just yet.

I closed my eyes, as I did my best to take my focus off of all of it, as I continued to bite in to the mouse that was below me, as it was quite a bit yummy, as I had come to realize, as it did not take me all that long for me to finish it off at the exact same time as well, as, as soon as I had done so, I then opened my eyes and I looked up at the father and son.

Some thing seemed to be a bit oddly familiar with the older tom cat, but I just was not so sure as to what it could be just yet. I sighed just a bit to my self, as I felt like, that I should not be all too focused on that at the moment, as I knew that I was at a safe place for the time being, and I would have plenty of time for me to think.

I lifted my self up, as I then began to dig a bit of a hole to put the carcuss of a mouse in. I could not help but to raise a little bit of a smile at the exact same time as well, as it just so happened to be the first small prey that I had ever caught. While it might not have been much, and it had been insanely easy, it was at least kitty steps for me.

I nodded to my self, as I then looked back up at Frank, as I saw that he no longer had his eyes on me thankfully, as I saw that he instead had his eyes on his own son. I kind of felt a bit bad for the poor kit, but he did not seem to mind it all that much, as perhaps he was used to it at this point.

It kind of confused me as well, due to the fact that I had heard the both of them say that they were never around any other cats besides themselves. I tilted my head just a little bit, but not too much, as to where Frank might have notice me do as such, from the corner of his eye.

The kit seemed to be looking at me for just a little bit longer, until of course, he then noticed that his father was looking at him, as it was clear that he was about to get ready to speak to his son at the exact same time too. The kit turned his head over to his father, a little bit lost, but in turn, he did nod for his father to go ahead and speak.

His father nodded back to his son quite a bit gratefully, as it was clear to me that the young kit was a lot more mature than I had ever been at his age. I shook off all of those thoughts at the same time as well how ever, as I all of the sudden finally heard Frank begin to speak up to his son after the short moments of them just staring at one another, as I then listened as to what it was that he had to say to his son.

"Alright Owl... It is about that time for you to go to sleep, so you find a comfy spot in the other room, and notify me if you need any help..." Frank said to his son, as the both of them nodded to one another at the exact same time too. Frank stared at him with quite a bit of a blank look on his face, as it was a bit strange to me, how he could just let his son go so easily like that, and not be too worried about him. I suppose that they had made it far as it was, so I should not be questioning his methods. I also realized that not only did this place seem to be scary, as it kept away other predators, but it also seemed to be quite a bit safe at the same time too. I was tempted to ask at some point over the next few days, if I could live here with them. I shook off those thoughts at the exact same time as well how ever, as I remembered about the sun trail that the older cat had told me about in that dream. I shivered quite a bit, as I was not so sure as to why I was even here in the first place. I sighed, as I then all of the sudden shook it off, as I heard Frank begin to speak to his son, as his son had not made a move to do as to what his father had told him to do clearly. I listened as to what it was that he had to say, as I had my head down low to the ground at the exact same time as well. "I will be in there in a bit, I just want to talk to these tom cat privately... Okay? I love you... Good night!"

Owl seemed to finally get the jest of what it was that his father was saying to him, as I could tell that even if he was a bit of a young cat, he was also quite a very smart cat at the same time too as well, none the less. Owl nodded to his father, as they rubbed against each other for quite a bit of some time, as he then walked in to the other room, just like Frank had asked of him.

I dipped my head a bit low to the ground at the exact same time too, as I felt like I could not help but to be a little bit jealous of the young kit, as I had always wanted to have a father, and it was quite a bit clear to me that the both of them were very close to one another, and it kind of hurt me to the fact that I had never had one.

I sighed a bit to my self, as I spotted the kit all of the sudden disappear in to the other room at the exact same time as well, as I then saw Frank slowly turn his head back over to me. I could tell just by the look that I saw in his eyes, that he still did not seem to trust me all that much at all, which I felt like I could not blame him for.

I had shown up at his place with out any sort of notice at all, as I was sure that he was quite a bit scared for his kit, just based off of the fact that I had seen him shivering when we had spoken before his son had joined us in the big room that we had been in at the exact moment in time.

The cat let out quite the loud sigh, as I was not sure if it was a sigh to him self, or if it was a sigh to me, as if he might be a bit annoyed that I was with him, not to mention the fact that he was still a bit afraid for his son. I kind of dipped my head down to the ground either way I spun that little bit of a theory.

The cat then let out a very loud cough at the same time as well, to my surprise, as it was clear that he wanted my full attention on him. I lifted my head up, and I then nodded to him, ready to hear as to what it was that he had to say to me in the very first place at the exact same time as well.

Frank stared at me for just a little bit longer, until he finally all of the sudden nodded back to me, in a bit of a quick and harsh way. I blinked a few times, as after a little while longer too, he then began to speak up to me, as I then all of the sudden listened as to what it was that he had to say to me.

"Go ahead... I want to hear your full story..." He said to me, as I blinked just a few times once again, as I was quite a bit shocked as to what it was that he had just said to me. I had not expected him to go down that way at all, but it was clear now to me all of the sudden, that he had been acting a bit strange, due to the fact that he was interested in the story I had told him about the dream.

I dipped my head, as I was not going to lie to my self, I was quite a bit embarrassed by the story, and I was a little bit worried that he was just thinking of me as some kind of joke, or some sort of crazy cat perhaps. And who knows? Perhaps I might just be going a little bit crazy with some of the decisions I had made as of late.

I closed my eyes at the same time too, as I felt like I had to remind my self quite a bit often, that I was not going crazy. I had seen these cats, and this area in a dream, long before I had ever even gone to this place in the first place. This had to some how be real, no matter how many times I tried to tell my self that it was not, and that I might very well be going crazy.

I gulped just a bit, as I felt like I should not say any thing about that to Frank, as he might very well get the wrong idea about that, and he might get a little bit worried as to the fact that I might for some reason do some thing to his kit, which of course, I had no intent of doing as such.

I was a perfectly sane cat, and maybe that was the reason that I was having these visions. The felt like they needed to get out to some one, and I just so happened to be the one that they had chose, which confused me quite a bit as well, due to the fact that I had never really believed in all of that stuff.

I shook my head, as I then sighed to my self at the exact same time as well, as I knew that I had to speak to the cat before he might actually think that I was a crazy cat. I lifted my head up, as I finally opened my eyes at the exact same time too, to let him know that I was awake, and I knew very well as to what was going on.

The cat had his eyes squinted at me, which of course I could not blame him for, as I was sure that I was being quite the idiot, as well as the fact that I was being a bit suspicious to him too. I knew that I had to speak up to him some point soon, just to let him know other wise.

I stared back at Frank for just a little bit more time, as I finally then nodded to the cat. He stared at me for just a bit longer as well, such as I had been doing too, until he finally then nodded right back to me, letting me know that it was now okay for me to speak. I let out a bit of a soft sigh to my self, as I then did in fact begin to speak up to him.

"I don't know if I should tell you... It might sound a bit crazy, and it might freak you out a bit... I promise that I was not stalking you, at least, not purposely..." I said to him, as I felt like kind of a bit of an idiot for adding on that last part in the first place, as I felt like I would have been safe as it was other wise.

I sighed a bit, as I gulped just a little bit at the exact same time as well, as I was worried that I might have made quite a big mistake. I should have just told him what it was, rather than adding in all of that other stuff, that might just make me seen to be even more suspicious than I had been in the first place.

I stared at the ground for quite a bit of some time, as it was silent in the room, as well as the fact that it felt to be a little bit cold at the same time too. I felt that it might be the fact that it was the leaf fall, and some wind might be blowing in at this very moment, but I realized that we were in a two leg place right now, or a 'barn', as Frank liked to call the place.

Perhaps he was right as well, as I did not really get much of the smell of a two leg in my nose at the very moment, as it was a lot more of the fact that it was the nasty smell of all of the other animals that must have been around the area at the time. I shook me head at the same time too, as the smell was very nasty, and it made me almost want to vomit on the spot.

I shook all of that off how ever, as I knew that I was not all that focused on any of that before, and that I probably should not be all too focused on it all at now, either. What I should be focused on at this very moment, was some thing that was all together different, as I was not so sure as to what it was that I should say to this cat.

I did not want to be made out to look like a bit of an idiot to the cat, as make him think that I was crazy, but at the same time as well, I also felt like I should not lie to him, and that I should tell him the truth as to how I had gotten here, as well as the reason why I had even come here in the first place.

And no, it was not due to the fact that I was going to try to kill his son, as much as he might be afraid of me doing some thing to him, which was not the case at all how ever. Perhaps the kit could have some sort of importance in all of this, but I really did not have any sort of ill intent on doing something such as that in the first place.

I sighed just a bit to my self, as I felt like I could not blame the tom cat for being a bit defensive for his kit, as he had already told me as to what had happened to his mate, and it made me feel quite a bit sick. I shook my head at the same time too, as I did my best to try to shake off all of those thoughts from my head at the exact same time as well.

I blinked just a few times, as I then all of the sudden heard the tom cat, Frank, begin to speak up to me. I lifted my head up to the cat, to let him know that I was paying attention, and that I was in fact listening as to what it was that he had to say to me in the first place, which I did in fact do as so, as I then made sure my self, that I was listening as to what it was that he had to say to me.

"Go ahead and tell me what it is... I promise that I will not judge you... If you do not, I can not promise that you can stay the night at my place how ever..." He said to me, as he squinted his eyes at me, not really to try to scare me at all, but to make sure that I knew as to what it was that he had said, and that he wanted to know what it was, as well as who I was, before I slept any where near him in his son.

I really could not blame him for it at all either, as I kind of was just grateful for the fact that he was even giving me a chance to explain as to what it was that was going on with me in the very first place any ways. I nodded to the cat, as I was a just a bit too afraid to grin at this cat at this moment, due to the fact that he might view it as me being just a little bit suspicious.

I gulped just a bit at the same time as well, as I felt like at the exact same time too, that he too was being a bit suspicious, even though I knew that I should not feel that way at all about him, as it was clear that he was just being a little bit over protective for his kit, which I felt like I could not blame him for, as I was a complete stranger to this tom cat.

He did not know any of my back story on all of this, and to be frank too, I was not too sure as to the fact that I could know much about this cat at all either. I was acting like I had known this cat my whole life, when in fact, even if I had seen him in my dreams for some odd reason or another, I really did not know this cat at all to be fair.

I sighed, as I shook off all of those thoughts at the exact same time as well, as I could see that the cat was squinting at me even harder than before, as I knew that I was being quite a bit suspicious to him, and I was sure that it might look like to him too, that I could just be making up a story in my head.

I shook my head how ever, as I then all of the sudden kept my eyes locked on him at the exact same time too, as I felt like I should just tell him the truth. I was not sure how he was going to judge me for the story that I told him, as there was a lot of different ways that I could see him responding to it.

One of those was that he might attack me, and throw me out of his place, or another one could be that he might think that I was some sort of crazy cat to say some thing as wild as that, and he might just throw me out of his place as well. Or... There was one other thing that could happen, which would be of course, the fact that he might actually listen to what it was that I had to say.

Either way, I felt like I had no other choice but to give it a chance, as there had to surely be a reason that I had seen this cat in my dreams, and that there was a reason that I was here. I sighed a bit to my self at the exact same time too, as I then nodded to him as well.

Frank still had his eyes squinted at me for just a little bit longer, but how ever, he did in fact eventually nod back to me too, to let me know that he was listening as to what it was that I had to say to him. Whether or not he might laugh it off, I felt like I had to speak now, which I did in fact do as such of course.

"Well... It is going to sound crazy to you, but I saw you in some dreams of mine, and I had never even met you before, so I felt like there was some thing that was telling me to come here..." I said to him, as I felt like it was a little bit soft, so that it did not freak him out too much if he thought that I was lying, or if he were to think I was crazy, but at the same time, I wanted to make it also seem like some thing that I actually believed in.

I still was having some doubts that any of it could be real for some odd reason or another, due to the fact that I just did not ever believe in all of this. I knew it was real how ever, as the place that I was at, and the 2 cats that I had met here as well, were very much the same cats that I had seen in my dreams.

I sighed a bit to my self, as I gulped just a bit at the exact same time too, as I felt like, perhaps, I might actually be going crazy at this current moment. I blinked just a few times, as I did my best to try to shake off all of those thoughts, as I was not so sure as to what it was that was going on with me at this very moment in time.

I knew that I was not going crazy, and that all of this was real, as crazy as it might sound to me. I was the one that was having it happen to my self, so I could only imagine as to how crazy it might sound to Frank, to matter how I worded it to him, I still had told him that I had seen him in my dreams.

I looked up at Frank how ever, to see that he did not seem to be all too freaked out about what it was that I had just said to him a few moments before, as it seemed to be that he was a little bit interested in it instead. It kind of puzzled me, very much like I would have thought that what I had said to him would puzzle him.

Frank was scratching his claws in to the dirt that was on the ground for quite a bit of some time, as I could tell that he was trying to think on what it was that I had said to him in the very first place. I could tell that he was no longer a bit afraid for his kit, as it seemed like he was more in to a bit of interest in to the story.

After a little bit longer as well, Frank finally did in fact lift his head back up to me, as he then nodded to me. I nodded right back to him as well, as I knew that he was about to speak to me, and I was sure that it was going to be a lot of questions too, as he then did in fact finally begin to speak to me, as I listened as to what it was that he had to say to me.

"Well... I think I should think more on that in the morning... For right now, I think that you should just get a little bit of sleep... Alright Kettle?" He said to me, as I blinked just a few times at the same time too. I was a bit surprised as that was what his answer was, but as I looked in to his eyes how ever, I could tell that he was quite a bit tired.

As I saw the bit of an exhausted look on his face at the same time too, I all of the sudden realized just how worn out I was as well. I had moved nearly twice as much as I had ever done in my entire life, over the past few days, and I could not lie to my self, it did in fact have quite a bit of a toll on me.

I breathed in heavily to my self at the same time as well, as it still felt like there was some thing that was not quite right with what it was that he had just said to me in the first place. I just could not think as to what it was, that it could be for the life of me. I did what he had done a few moments ago, as I scratched the ground, to get a bit of some control on my mind.

It all of the sudden hit me, as to what it was that had bothered me quite a bit, as I blinked just a few times, as I stared at the tom cat that was in front of me. It was clear that he had not realized as to what it was that he had just said to me, and I was starting to think that perhaps I was going crazy at this moment.

The cat had said my name, but I did not remember giving him my name at all. I felt like I was going insane, and I wanted to just try and shake all of it off, but I just could not help but to be a bit freaked out by it. I surely was going crazy right? Perhaps I had told him my name, and I was just too tired to remember me doing so.

Either way, I shook my head, as I figured that it really was not some thing that I should get too freaked out about any ways, as I then looked back up at the tom cat that was in front of me, as I saw that he had a bit of a grin on his face for some odd reason or another, which I could not lie of course, it did in fact kind of freak me out just a bit.

I did my best to shake off all of those thoughts at the exact same time too how ever, as I knew that I was being a little bit too over the top at this current moment in time. I then nodded to the tom cat, to finally let him know that I was ready to speak up to him. After a little while longer, he did the same time me, which had me just a little bit relieved, as I then did in fact begin to speak up to him.

"Thank you... I am grateful for you hospitality... I just am not too sure as to why I am here..." I said to him, as I felt like I should add in that last part, just to let him know that I was just as confused as he might be at this current moment in time too, as I was thankful for him letting me stay at his place for the night, such as Night had done.

I felt like I was having a lot of help that I had not ever expected to have, which was a lot of the reason that I had been so afraid to go out in to the wild in the first place. At the same time too how ever, it kind of felt like being in a lot of place likes these, was not really me being out in the wild.

I shook my head at the same time too, as I felt like it should not matter all that much to me at all, as I sighed just a bit to my self. I still clearly did not know how to hunt all that well, as I had come to find out, when I had gone after those rabbits. Even if I had caught a mouse in here, I knew it was a lot easier than it was to do it out in the wild.

I sighed a bit to my self, as I looked at Frank, only to see that he was nodding for me to go forward. I blinked a few times, as to my surprise, I saw it was the same room that his son Owl had gone in to not too long ago, as it felt like it had not taken me too long to gain his trust clearly.

It was a bit of a surprise to me, but I did not complain about it at all, as I then began to head in to the quite dark room that was in front of me. I nodded to my self, as I was just too tired to think at this current moment in time. I then all of the sudden, heard Frank begin to speak up to me one last time before I went in to the room, as I turned my head over to him, to hear what it was that he had to say.

"Just do not try to pull any thing stupid on us... Because, I will be watching"
