Eveth, The Exalted was a famous VR player known across the world. His most amazing feat was being the first player to conquer the Tower Arena, a game infamously known for its hardcore contents and hellish requirements. Unbeknownst to all, behind this legendary figure was Jerus Kidlatin, a cripple since birth who was living the final hours of his life. He didn't have any regrets about dying, nor he found it unfair and cursed the heavens for his faith. After all, Eveth had already achieved everything for him.
However, before his death, a government-funded company known as Synth.co offered him a second chance, they offered him a completely healthy body for unknown reasons. Jerus didn't think much about the offer but agreed anyway, thinking that nothing could come out of it that would screw him. After all, he was dying.
He was wrong.
Now he found himself in a world of ruins and monsters, where AIs mostly control the civilized part of humanity. He had to do tasks for food and shelter. While his comfort in life is determined by social rankings and other contribution factors. Not all was bad though, at least now, he has a perfectly healthy body, right?
