Synopsis

Chapter 1An average broke student.

Hello,my name is Xylan and I am just a average student and I am a tall boy with the height of 6'0 feet and I have messy textured crop with soft layered white coloured hair and white eyes and just I am just a average guy, well my story is some what interesting and it all started on that day.

At March 2, 2014.

It was a cold day the snows were falling down and the city was busy. I woke up in my house it was rented and small and there were alot of cockroaches and pest were roaming in my room.

"Yeah, you get it....I am a brokie....don't worry I can still handle myself."

Xylan said it with a sigh while rubbing his eyes with his hand.

"Hello pests, is it funny to see me suffer?"

Xylan yelled at the cockroaches and the rats.

Xylan has a habit to speak alone because he didn't really had a chance to speak to others because of his status.

Xylan then went to the bathroom and started to remove his clothes to take a bath.

As Xylan went inside,he saw a tap and a bucket below it, Xylan turned the tap so he could fill the bucket with water.

"Man this is annoying!!"

He yelled.

"I couldn't even afford a shower or a bath tub!!"

He surely was not pleased with the life he got.

"Well,I guess I have to live in this misery....man I wish I was some sort of main character from an anime and live a good life."

Xylan let out a sigh knowing he can't escape the reality.

While Xylan was in his own world thinking himself as a main character of some overpowered anime,he then realised he turned the tap, but he didn't heard the sound of the water dropping in the bucket.

Xylan then lowered his head and saw that the tap didn't work.

"Huh?!!?"

"I waited for like 10 minutes and the bucket is not even half the way to fill?!!"

"I have only 30 minutes to ready for the school!! I will be right at time in school only because my house isn't far from the school."

He said to himself.

"But I already wasted 10 minutes, but did no progress in getting ready."

He said to himself again.

"I guess I have to skip taking a bath...but it's not like I bath properly so it doesn't even matter..."

He then looked left and saw only a single packet of shampoo and it was unwrapped.

"Ehh....I am so broke man that I had to use that packet of shampoo which a boy can only use for 3 times at maximum to bath properly, but I used it for 16 times...16 times, I used that shampoo packet for 16 times!!!"

And then Xylan just wore his uniform and took out cup noodles and opened it and poured hot boiled water which he managed to borrow from his neighbour.

"God, I will not thank you for food because you did not give me infact people are seeing me lowly because of some rankings came from your name."

Xylan said

"But still, it's not your fault,it's not like you asked and you have alot of works and won't have a time."

As Xylan said this he unintentionally prayed to the god and said thanks for food.

"Wait,why did I did it?"

Xylan questioned himself.

"But still it's not like I hate it."

He then turned towards a photo of someone which was placed in a table infront of him.

"big brother I miss you.."

Xylan then ate his food and then walked to school and he was standing infront of the entrance.

"I came late."

Xylan said to a worker who acts as the warden, but not the warden.

"Oh, it's not your first time, but I will let you in because it's not your fault I can understand your problems because I am same rank as you..."

The worker said to Xylan with a tired expression.

"Really?"

Xylan asked the worker with a shocked filled in his eyes.

"Really,really."

The worker replied, still with the tired expression.

"But it's not the first time what will happen if the higher-ups found out?"

Xylan asked the guard with a worried and a shocked expression because the higher-ups won't care about the lives of people like Xylan and the worker and they would surely do something if they found out about this which broke the rules.

"What they gonna do?"

The worker asked to Xylan.

"I have been working here for a long time and they did nothing to people who have rank above 10B."

The worker said with a angry tone.

"But...is it okay because I am just an 10-D, just barely above slaves and homeless people."

Xylan said to the security guard with a worried tone and is still shocked at the fact how much times the worker helped him.

"Yes, it is fine. I understand you and I can relate to you to my awful childhood."

The worker replied and made Xylan realise the worker didn't felt sympathic, but empathic.

"Ok, thank you sir."

Xylan bowed down and thanked him and then entered the school.

(The story starts from the next few chapters also I know this chapter isn't that great, the main story starts after few chapters and this is just an introduction.)

GlaringError here! As I have already mentioned in my author review I am restating it here since I am getting tons of comments about it, that I am more of a reader myself than a writer, I made this novel in an attempt to capture my fantasy world residing in my mind into words.. Writing is new for me.. The premise of my novel is inspired by many great works that I have loved over the years. And some elements I have in my novel that are slightly similar to them but it's just the skeleton of it, the real meat of the plot is entirely my own cooking. Some of the influence that is more noticeable is from The Runesmith (By Kuropon), The King's Avatar (By Butterfly Blue) and Shadow Slave (By Guiltythree). I have immense respect for these legends and I can only hope to follow in their footsteps. To all those who comment just by judging the name, at least give it a chance before letting your opinions be known. Thank you.
