Each piece of the long sleeves danced softly through the air and with her movements, it created a special effect in which the fabric spread out and with the slightest pull from her, it could ensnare those who were within it or obstruct their movements or view for a short moment.

Alfred had begun to put forward several policies within the White Storm to better protect its interests and employees.

In a normal civilised world, high level employees and those working on major projects would become targets and would be bribed or threatened to make them leak secrets or cause a project to fail.

In some cases there would be kidnapping attempts, exploiting their families financial state, using family conflicts or the greed of others to plot within and put the family at risk or debt and many other scenarios.

Those examples mostly appear in romance novels with a business genre with a cold and ruthless male lead but in the world of One Piece, the possible scenarios could be far worse and the people doing so would be far more reckless resulting in endangering of life of hostages and cleaning up any witnesses.

A pirate, mercenary, bandit, street thug or even an ordinary citizen could be persuaded to harm others just with the promise of a better life so once those within White Storm were exposed to confidential or important things, they needed to be protected.

The first thing put in place at Alyssia's request was having bodyguards stationed in key parts where the secrets were held and to protect and monitor high ranking employees.

The second was that the families of those individuals would receive a background check along with them, once approved they would have their family moved somewhere safe to receive protection and start a new life.

The third was that if anyone encountered a problem that would put them at risk or felt that something could potentially be wrong, they were allowed to request help and receive the assistance of the White Storm which was only available to key members and those within a certain circle.

The forth was more of a warning which stated the consequences of betrayal, depending on the severity of their actions and their effects on the White Storms operations.

In some cases, they would be forced along with their family into paying off the damages they had done whether it be forced labour with no pay or in other worse cases they may have to pay for it with their lives to prevent further leaks afterwards.

It was not that Alyssia was becoming more and more cruel and heartless but instead that she did not wish to be betrayed by the employees who she was providing steady pay within a world that made it difficult to do so.

She did not wish to exploit others like the others who resort to stealing, warfare, drug selling, weapon selling and slavery to get by so that she could build up a cleaner place that created opportunities for people who worked hard for it, one or two betrayals could possibly destroy that resulting in many losing a job because of one or two peoples actions so she had to be firm enough to not be taken advantage of.

The more the White Storm was growing, the more other powerful influences would try to get a piece for themselves.

Once they had sunk their teeth in, the White Storm would become heavily wounded.

As a result there would be less berries for herself, less talents or loyal people being recruited and many key parts of her research that should not be exposed to the world would fall into others hands that may use it for their own benefit no matter what the consequences may be.

Alyssia spent some time putting several of her projects into motion and left the smaller preparations to the others while Ein, Nica and Ashwin oversaw her main projects progress.

With her growing fame points, she purchased many beginner, basic or intermediate skills of different types as she inspected several work places along with Alfred while Pascia was preparing to appear at a contest called the Miss Paradise Beauty Pageant, Aizah was preparing to appear at her first small solo concert and Ann was preparing for her own concert within Sabaody.

Alyssia followed along with Ann to Sabaody to make sure that everything went well with the negotiations and the overall performance which resulted in her fame rising even more.

Within an unknown Grove, a blurry figure could barely be noticed as it flickered through the night and stopped a couple of times in places of cover.

Alyssia stopped for several moments with her eyes closed and shut her eyes. 'No.. not this place either.'

She kept moving from place to place avoiding the gazes of others until she stopped. 'Yes! This is it… Kuma's tip paid off in the end.'

Previously she had asked for which Grove within Sabaody which had been used to work on Kuma.

Since the entrance was well hidden and very protected and secure, gaining entry was impossible for most so Kuma gave her the information since she could not do much with it and would be captured if she ever attempted anything like breaking in.

Breaking in or something else would alert the Marines and she would be chased down by them but that was not what she wished to accomplish.

Theft could be done in other ways more secretive thanks to her system and as she had been successful, she had closed her eyes and found a large amount of information and skills available to herself.

Many skills showed up in front of her like she was shopping at an exclusive store that had too much to choose from.

Many were unique skills belonging to either Marine Scientists or Dr Vegapunk himself, some resulted in failures or were believed to be while others were game changing skills that she needed.

First she purchased the advanced grade of the artificial life form creation, Devil Fruit and mechanical based skills before purchasing the beginner, basic and intermediate grades of the skills that remained with her remaining points.

She had been lucky enough to arrive at a time when such skills were available all at once and she could not remain there for long and alert others of her presence so she burned through many of her points as she purchased them before disappearing from where she was hidden.

The artificial life skill would supplement her own research and give her more accuracy and certainty in a perfect completed experiment.

The Devil Fruit research was key to discovering the secrets related to the creation or cloning of devil fruits with the possibilities of further exploring other possibilities with what she had been researching.

The further mechanical knowledge which contained the Pacifista research also helped to improve upon the skills that she had collected from Franky and the people of Baldimore, even without access to Vegapunk's old lab, she had found a way to gain access to his past and present achievements.

Back in the room that she was staying within, she licked her lips with a satisfied smile on her face and then lay down on her bed to quickly dive into studying.
