12 Electro

Many possibilities exist once a person puts in an effort to learn but when assisted by a system the world was opening up to Alyssia in new ways she never thought possible in her previous life.

Now she had a small family, a friend and also many people to look out for within Zou but she could also learn many things with the assistance of the system.

Using berries and herbs she began to make several different colour pigments and paints and began to ask her parents for some additional blank sketch books so that she could continue to master her drawing skill.

Within the street she had sat with her sketch book and a mink was in front of her sitting opposite her.

Next to Alyssia she had a small sign saying free portrait sketch or painting.

In order to improve her drawing skills further, she decided to occasionally bring her sketch book out and draw or paint peoples portraits and gift them the finished product for free.

Although this would not help to increase her experience or fame points by doing so it did help her build up her drawing skills mastery slowly.

After completing the portrait she passed it to the mink opposite her.

Although the portrait looked simple and lacking in skills it still displayed the minks main features and looked a little cartoonish so the mink left with it satisfied.

Her drawing skill was drawing nearer with every passing drawing or painting that she did and when she was improving it she was able to slowly improve her navigation skill.

While doing her daily activities of challenging some people to a duel she began to gather information from her surroundings and also asked her parents to teach her the basics of electro.

Although she could get a better teacher she decided that it was best to learn from her parents first.

Most minks can use electro and some have greater mastery than the others and know how to use it to develop their own form of fighting style but her parents did not seem that tough..

Luckily she was still young and what she could learn from them was the basics that she still did not know.

As for anything else that she wished to learn she could learn it later when she has found a suitable teacher for herself.

Within her home she returned to her room that was full of various sketches, books and drawing tools.

She put away her things and came to the back yard where her mother and father were waiting for her.

Her mother spoke first. "You have finally come home after causing so much of a commotion within the street as usual. We have been waiting to begin the lesson on how to summon your electro and how to control it."

Her father then nodded as he stood beside her with his arms crossed over his chest. "Let's hurry with the lesson. Your mother has been waiting for you."

Alyssia looked a little guilty and lowered her head. "Sorry mom. I was just finishing one of my portraits before I returned."

Her mother sighed and then replied calmly. "Next time you make an appointment make sure to be on time for it. You need to learn to keep one's word! Garchu!"

As if a flip had been switched her mother turned from stern to loving all of a sudden and began to hug Alyssia and rub her cheeks against Alyssia's cheek.

Alyssia nodded obediently and stood there taking the sudden display of love from her mother and replied with the same action. "Garchu!"

Meanwhile her father stood back looking a little envious so he jumped in and hugged his two favourite ladies of his family. "Garchu!"

A little while later the family separated and her mother began to speak once again. "Users of Electro can channel electricity through parts of their bodies in order to shock anything they touch. This power can also be channeled through weapons. This technique grants extra damage to attacks, giving the opponents electric burns and paralysis. All minks can use Electro, including infants and the elderly, and it is pretty common knowledge among us minks. The inability to produce Electro is a sign of not being a mink. So far we have delayed teaching you how to channel and use it but since you have begun to show more signs of wishing to improve your fighting skills we felt that it was time."

Her father added. "By transforming into Sulong, minks can also emit electricity from their body constantly and can perform stronger attacks. In order to initiate the transformation, a mink must have a clear, unobstructed view of the moon, being unable to undergo Sulong should the moon be covered by clouds, a roof, or whatever else like a hat which is why many minks are seen to wear hats most of the time. Sulong is said to be the "true form" of the minks, a race whose members are born with natural fighting ability, the Sulong transformation exponentially enhances the existing skills of a mink. In some cases their agility and jumping ability would be enhanced while others their strength and charging ability would be enhanced."

Her mother added. "However this form has a weakness and drawbacks when used at a cost for gaining the true form of the minks and taking on a wild appearance. Due to the fact that Sulong can only be activated when a full moon appears, being roughly every 30 days, usage of it is extremely limited."

Her mother continued. "This transformation is very dangerous for minks, as unless they are sufficiently trained they will lose their minds completely and attack anyone near them, even friends and allies. In addition to its dangerous effects mentally, the Sulong state is generally known to have a short lifespan due to being extremely taxing on a mink's physical body, as the mink will expend all their energy and die after just a single night of usage. It would be best not to use it but if you do it must be when you have control over it and your life is in danger."

Alyssia nodded and then thought about it. 'So basically if I want to live a long life I should not recklessly use my Sulong form. If I cannot learn to control the form then I may attack both allies and enemies during my loss of control.'

Electricity began to show on her mother and fathers body and then travel towards their hands as they showed it to Alyssia. "This is how we channel and use electro. We can use it to attack or even increase our speed."

Alyssia remembered this scene from watching the anime and reading the manga.

Whenever the minks channeled their electro they would send it to their hands and sent out a punch or sent it to another part of their body like their legs or feet to increase their speed of their steps or send out a kick.

They began to display the steps in how to channel the electro along with the feeling that came with it and also used their electro to gently trigger her own electro to activate.

After feeling the electro activate within her body by the stimulation she began to slowly remember the feeling that she had so that she could use it again.

Her mother smiled as she watched her daughter grasp it. "The next step is to channel your electro and send it to a point to gather at. Most send it to their hands as we have shown you but it doesn't have to be the hands if you decide otherwise but it would be best to begin with one point for now and then you can increase the number of points where you can gather your electro at."

The day passed by very quickly as she had begun to practice her control over her electro with her parents until she became tired and hungry.
