21 Yennefer's proposal.

In Yennefer's room, Philippa and Kakashi were looking at each other, the room wasn't the most comfortable place at that moment.

The atmosphere in the place was strange since the three left the room, everything that happened that morning was unexpected.

Neither of them expected this situation, neither Kakashi nor Philippa knew what to say, they were taken by surprise.

Trying to break the ice between the two, Philippa was the first to speak, she introduced herself again, her aim was to start from scratch with Kakashi.

And since the two were solo, they could get to know each other better, a trick used when something strange happened right at the beginning, while they were getting to know each other.

"My name is Philippa Eilhart, we have already been introduced, but I wanted to introduce myself, can I call you Kakashi?"

From her tone of voice, Philippa wasn't treating Kakashi like a child, observing Kakashi's actions.

Philippa realized that treating Kakashi like a child would not be the best approach to creating familiarity with him.

Since he didn't act like a child, she would treat him like an adult, respecting his limits and slowly trying to get closer to him.

"My name is Hatake Kakashi, you can call me Kakashi, Philippa."

She thought Kakashi's name was strange before, but now the situation has gotten worse, Philippa didn't know any country that has that kind of name.

Her name was exotic, and unlike the names in that region, Philippa deduced that Kakashi must be from some country beyond the sea.

"Why do you use your last name instead of your first name?"

It had been so many years since Kakashi gave his last name that he forgot, that in this world the first name comes first.

"My real name is Kakashi, Hatake is my family's surname, where I come from, the family name comes first."

Philippa was still a little confused by that, but decided not to dwell on the subject.

Because she didn't want to waste time on these superficial matters, when she found a golden chance to know more about Kakashi.

Running her fingers over the scars and burns spread across Kakashi's body, Philippa felt her curiosity growing.

Everything about the boy was something new, his name, personality, appearance and even his body, Kakashi was big news to her.

She always liked unraveling new mysteries, Philippa felt like she was discovering a new toy, which he would have to learn how to play little by little.

Settled with the monotonous life she was leading, Philippa was tired of the boring company of the nobles, she had already lived a long time so when something unknown appeared.

Philippa threw herself into it, until she discovered everything about this new thing, which made her excited.

"Kakashi, would you be free to share how you got those marks?"

In a straightforward manner, Philippa didn't ask invasive questions, Kakashi seemed too smart to fall for that kind of trick.

He seemed like the type of person, who appreciated sincerity and didn't like stupid games, to Philippa.

Kakashi seemed to be the type of person you couldn't use normal means to manipulate, with him you would have to build trust and affection, little by little and using the truth.

She believed that the best approach with him would be to be honest, his instincts showed this, that he would notice her games and manipulation, to obtain information.

"I got them by protecting someone very important to me, Yen was in danger and I took action."

Showing his marks, Kakashi continues, "These marks show how much I'm willing to sacrifice for the people I care about."

With conviction in her words, Kakashi's face showed confidence, he would never abandon a precious person, not even to save his life.

Seeing that expression on Kakashi's face, Philippa was taken by surprise, she didn't expect that kind of conviction in a small boy.

Even though Philippa was willing to treat Kakashi as an adult, deep down she still considered him a child, inexperienced in certain matters.

So Philippa didn't expect that kind of conviction and confidence in a person who isn't even twenty years old.

'Kakashi, he doesn't look like a boy at all, there's something strange about this situation, I feel like he and Yennefer are hiding something'.

For Philippa, there was no way a boy could have that personality, even if he had been forced to mature.

It just didn't make sense, he had the determination of an old, experienced officer.

Philippa didn't see signs of a mentally affected person, Kakashi didn't show signs that a traumatized person would show.

A boy his age who suffered so much, to the point of becoming mute like Kakashi, would be very cautious around other people.

He wouldn't put himself at risk to save someone she doesn't know, in fact Philippa can't think of anyone who would suffer so much to save a complete stranger.

Kakashi would have to be a saint, so that even though he had suffered so much until he had the mentality of an adult, he would still risk his life for unknown people.

Demonstrating a skill with words, Kakashi knew how to express himself correctly.

A child would not have this ability, even if he were a prince, being educated by the best teachers and scholars.

At five years old, he seemed to have greater mental capacity than most adults Philippa knew.

This fact greatly increased her curiosity about Kakashi, each time she learned more about him.

More surprised and attracted by his secrets she was, so in a carefree manner she asked another question.

"Kakashi I haven't met anyone with a similar appearance or name like you, where do you come from?"

Already prepared for this type of question, Kakashi answered convincingly.

"I came from a distant village, across the sea, I came here with my parents, and ended up being alone over time, I met Yen by chance."

Philippa wanted to ask more about Kakashi's parents or his village, but she held back.

She felt like the answer wouldn't be helpful, she didn't want to make Kakashi upset or give her a bad impression.

An indiscreet question could cause her little progress to be lost, which is why she didn't ask about her family.

Kakashi noticed that Philippa wasn't treating him like a child, her tone and way of speaking.

It was as if she considered Kakashi an adult, it made him alert, he realized that the woman in front of him is a very intelligent person.

People like Philippa were the type, who would be great allies if you proved yourself valuable, but they were also the worst enemies, someone with her observation skills and intelligence.

It would be very dangerous, Kakashi decided if one day she became her or Yennefer's enemy, he would hunt her down to kill her as quickly as possible.

He wouldn't leave such a troublesome enemy alone, in Kakashi's eyes, Philippa couldn't be underestimated, she was smarter than Yennefer.

Even though the way the conversation flowed as if it were between two adults was pleasant for Kakashi, he didn't let his guard down with Philippa.

Realizing the conversation had turned to a problematic topic and direction, Philippa quickly changed the subject.

Philippa asked about a few little things, "Kakashi, I'm wondering what someone like you with your personality likes?"

"For example, what is your hobby, what do you like to do when you are bored and what is your favorite food?"

Her goal was to return to a lighter topic of conversation, where she could learn more about her while increasing his affection for her.

Kakashi replied, that he enjoyed spending time outdoors, looking at animals and nature.

His hobby was reading, he didn't specify the type of book, but Kakashi liked spicy fiction.

And his favorite food was grilled fish, in this world they couldn't keep it at its ideal point, but it was still his favorite.

The cuisine of this world was much inferior to that of yours, they used little seasoning, and they always got the point wrong.

Even though Kakashi didn't complain about the food, it wasn't much to his liking.

After answering these questions he returned his gaze to Philippa, he also wanted to understand a little more about this mysterious woman who was in front of him.

"Since I answered your questions, I think it's only fair that you answer mine."

She nodded, "You can ask me anything, if I know the answer I'll give it to you."

Glad that Kakashi was also interested in her, Philippa felt that she had made some progress, the best way to get close to someone is to make them find you interesting.

Philippa, even though she wanted to give a gentle image, let some of her arrogance slip through her voice and posture.

It was something that was already linked to her, even with those she respected, her arrogance appeared when she spoke.

Kakashi didn't care about the way she spoke, he was quite arrogant in his past, it was the right of the powerful and capable to have a little arrogance.

Yennefer herself was quite arrogant when it came to most people, he and Tissaia were the only excerpt that Kakashi knew.

"I want to know the same thing as you, what you like to do, what your favorite food is and most importantly what your ultimate goal is."

Thinking a little, Philippa realized that she didn't have many tastes of her own, she did what most of the upper class did, even if she was bored.

Her goal took up most of her life, that she even forgot to enjoy her life, the things she did and the people she related to, everything went towards her goal.

"Kakashi I haven't really thought about it much, I'm always so busy that I don't have time for myself, I think I need a vacation to rediscover myself."

Surprised like that, Kakashi didn't know if Philippa was lying, but he didn't ask any more, he realized that this question affected her in some way.

Philippa was being honest with Kakashi, she didn't want to do something that could make him distrust her, there were no more questions after her answer.

Satisfied with the conversation they had, Philippa felt that she had come further than expected, so before the three of them returned.

She decided to continue with Kakashi's treatment, passing the equipment over his body.

After passing the equipment all over Kakashi's body, Philippa saw the signs of energy all over his body.

Small blue spots appeared across Kakashi's body, showing that traces of elemental energy were everywhere on his body.

Since Kakashi discovered this energy, he tried to combat it, however his attempts did not have much effect.

That energy permeated his body, so he wasn't able to eliminate it completely, Kakashi was only able to reduce its quantity a little, dispensing what he could from his body.

Even though he tried to control this energy, Kakashi felt like his body rejected it.

He felt that he would have to force his body again to exert the necessary control, to get the energy out, but he didn't know if that would work.

Afraid of doing this, Kakashi still didn't know this type of energy well, he was cautious.

As a layman, anything he did could make his situation worse, so Kakashi decided to just ease his situation little by little.

Deciding that it was best to leave this matter in the hands of the experts, Kakashi did as he was asked.

Philippa was looking at it and was confused, Kakashi had energy throughout his body and yet he was not deformed.

Every sorceress whose body was infiltrated by elemental energy exploded or suffered deformations.

That's why it was very common to find sorceresses who were born with imperfections and deficiencies, the accumulated elemental energy was very harmful to the human body.

If the Sorceresses did not go through adequate training, to learn how to deal with the elemental energy that was in their surroundings, letting the energy infiltrate their body.

They would die in a violent explosion, some people who were born with an affinity for magic, and did not receive adequate training, had this miserable end.

If Kakashi only had elemental energy in his organs, some viable explanations could be found for why he is still alive.

But with so much energy, in his body Yennefer didn't know how he was still alive.

Another question she had was how he managed to have so much energy infiltrated into his body, this was not a natural thing.

This could happen even if he accidentally drank a potion with a large amount of magic.

Either with a magical treatment, which got out of control or until he ended up in a place infested with magic, and breathed a lot of air that had a low amount of magic.

These explanations would be reasonable, if Kakashi only had energy in his organs.

However, Philippa could not think of anything reasonable that she could have caused so much elemental energy to spread throughout her body in that way.

'The only possibility would be if he had attracted elemental energy to his body, but that is not possible, no human could handle attracting so much energy, the pain would be unbearable and he would have passed out before gathering that volume of energy.

Some great sorceresses wished to do this before, gathering elemental energy in their body to increase their powers.

But they all failed, they died horrible deaths that turned into a rain of blood, flesh and organs.

Traumatizing everyone who saw that bloody scene, it became a consensus among sorceresses that gathering energy in their own bodies was equal to committing suicide.

Running her fingers over the places that turned blue, Phillipa felt the concentration of energy in those places.

She saw this energy, it didn't come together like that in a natural way, they were guided to create little clumps of energy.

With a discerning look on her face Philippa understands what happened, it was the boy himself who gathered energy in her body like that.

Philippa just didn't know if Kakashi had done it unconsciously or consciously, since to do this she needed great control of her energy.

"Kakashi, how did this happen? How did you end up with so much elemental energy in your body?"

Cornered by this question, Kakashi decided to tell the truth, but not the whole truth, he would only tell a part.

"This happened, when I gathered too much elemental energy in my body, I lost control of it and it held on."

Even though Philippa expected this to be Kakashi's response, she was still taken aback by him.

But she decided to accept it, because several questions popped into her head.

Confused by this explanation full of holes, many explanations were missing, Philippa wanted to ask what purpose he had gathered all that energy for.

However she saw that this was on purpose, Kakashi reported vaguely.

Kakashi didn't want to delve deeper into the subject, and as they were still barely more than acquaintances, Philippa knew she wasn't intimidated enough to pursue the subject.

Leaving this matter aside for a while, Philippa continued to observe the spots, some had different shapes, sizes and colors, each spot was unique.

Her check was interrupted when Tissaia, Margarita and Yennefer returned to the room.

After a long conversation, they seemed to be better, Yennefer wasn't very happy, but she didn't show it on her face.

However, Kakashi who knew her very well picked up on these small signs of discomfort.

He didn't address the topic in front of everyone, when the two were alone, they could talk about their discomfort.

Noticing the blue spots spread across Kakashi's body, the three saw that the treatments had already started.

Everyone was surprised by the large number of stains scattered around.

With great concern, Yennefer approached the two, "How is he, Philippa?"

Yennefer was a great sorceress, but when it came to Kakashi her mind didn't work right.

Her worry made her not think straight, she acted like a worried mother.

"Don't worry he's fine, in some strange way his body is expelling elemental energy."

Philippa was taken aback by Yennefer's emotional form, she didn't expect the cold and stoic Yennefer to act this way.

"Kakashi's body will eliminate this energy on its own, our only concern is the accumulation in his organs."

Nodding, Yennefer became a little calmer about the situation, so she felt a little embarrassed.

Tissaia and Margarita approached Kakashi and examined him, they confirmed what Philippa said.

With the exertion of the energy that was in his organs, Kakashi's body was gradually expelling the invading energy.

They were surprised by that situation, there was no record of anything like that.

That large amount of elemental energy, which was spread throughout Kakashi's body.

It would be enough to easily kill an adult, but it seems that this energy wasn't harming Kakashi in the way he should.

His body was dealing well with this energy, containing the damage caused by the energy to the minimum possible.

"Kakashi, are you expelling the energy consciously?"

The three's eyes were focused on him, Kakashi felt a little pressured.

They were watching him, wanting to see what he would say, his response would change many things.

"When I learned about the energy trapped in my organs, I started to expel them little by little, but it was only a small part, most of it refuses to leave."

That revelation was powerful for them, the three of them were increasingly sure about Kakashi's lineage.

In his eyes Kakashi could not be human, how could his body resist that amount of energy without collapsing.

No human body could handle so much energy, and even with this gigantic amount trapped in his body, Kakashi managed to handle some of it.

They didn't know how he achieved this feat, doing this was something they didn't know if they could do, even with all their experience and power.

As that day was full of surprises for them, the three stayed a little longer doing small exams and left at sunset.

When Kakashi and Yennefer were alone in the room, ready to rest.

Yennefer addressed the topic that had been on her mind all day.

"We need to talk, about what we're going to do, from now on, Kakashi."

Casting a spell that prevented anyone from using spells to listen to their conversation, Yennefer did not want anyone to invade their privacy.

Kakashi had an idea as to why Yennefer was serious, he noticed that since she returned with Tissaia and Margarita, she had been a little strange.

"Yen, you've been very serious since you came back to the room, did something happen in your conversation with those two?"

With a serious look on his face Kakashi continues.

"Did they do something to you that made you uncomfortable or threaten you in some way?"

Nodding her head while having a small smile on her face, Yennefer always liked it when Kakashi showed her protective side to her.

'Having someone who really cares about me is really good, I know he's an adult but that expression on that little face is really cute, it makes you want to squeeze it'.

"It's not like you imagine, Tissaia and Margarita didn't do anything to me, but my conversation with them made me realize something."

Kakashi was silent waiting for her to continue.

"I had already thought about it, but I was very afraid of having to expose it to other people, but this is our best alternative."

Even though she was reluctant to bring Kakashi into the Brotherhood, Yennefer knew that this was the best option.

She had very limited resources, to protect Kakashi, even though the two of them were powerful, they couldn't face large corporations alone.

If some powerful person were interested in Kakashi's different abilities, it could be a big problem for them.Unlike other powers, where they would have to build their influence from scratch.

In the Brotherhood, Yennefer was respected so it was the best option, so she could better protect Kakashi.

Yennefer knew what kind of person Kakashi was, if he found something that she didn't think was right, he would do something about it.

Even if he didn't do it immediately and in front of everyone, Kakashi would find a way to solve the problem.

He had a very good heart, even if he didn't show it beneath his disinterested attitude.

Making up her mind on this matter, Yennefer shows her seriousness on her face, "Kakashi, I think we have to join the Brotherhood."

Kakashi was confused by that, he knew Yennefer and knew that she wouldn't want to put him in this group, where they would try to use him.

Yennefer showed clear hesitation on her face, she was not happy with that idea.

But she knew it was necessary, in that world where lives were worthless, they could encounter a situation where one of them would be killed.

As powerful as the two were without powerful support, they would be easy targets, Kakashi's unusual abilities would attract fear and envy.

She also noticed that the attention Kakashi was receiving was unnatural, Yennefer didn't know what the three of them were thinking, but she felt it wasn't a good thing for the two of them.

Deciding that the best choice they could make was to gain recognition and support from all parties, so they could protect themselves from everyone.

Tissaia and Margarita wouldn't be a big problem to get around, but Yennefer knew Philippa's greed and selfishness, if she wanted to she would do anything to get Kakashi.

That's why she decided that the best way to protect herself and Kakashi would be to join the Brotherhood or become affiliated with a large kingdom.

Both options weren't ideal, but with the Brotherhood, Yennefer and Kakashi would have more freedom to live their lives.

"Yen, are you sure? You know, you don't seem very happy with this situation."

Nodding without much confidence, Yennefer reaffirmed her decision.

"I don't like the idea, but unfortunately that's the rational choice to make."

Deciding to trust Yennefer's ability, Kakashi agrees to her suggestion.

"You know I trust you with my life, Yennefer, if you believe this is the best way for us to stay safe, I will trust your reasoning."

With extreme trust in her, Kakashi believed that there was no way Yennefer would make a choice that would be disadvantageous for him, she always had his best interest first.

"Thank you, it means a lot to me, your trust is the only thing that matters."

Kakashi didn't want to join a group he knew nothing about, however he would give it a chance.

First Kakashi would find out more about the group, and when he returned to his adult form it wouldn't be too late to leave if necessary.

"Yen, do I have to do something to join this group? Because it doesn't seem to me that the Sorceresses would accept anyone in their midst."

"Normally, only sorceresses could be part of this group, but we know you don't have the talent to become one."

He nodded, his talent in manipulating elemental energy to use spells was almost non-existent.

"But even if you had talent, we would have to show that you are unique, I want you to stay in Arentuza with me."

Sorceresses were prohibited from having sexual relations while studying.

That's why they separated them into two schools, Arentuza for girls and Ban Ard for boys, they separated them so that they wouldn't succumb to their wishes.

Yennefer didn't want Kakashi to go to Ban Ard's sorceress school, she didn't want to spend months apart from him.

They had to demonstrate that it was worth breaking the rules for Kakashi, Yennefer would make sure he didn't have sex with anyone.

"If I can't enter through normal means, what do I have to do? Is there any test or ordeal that I have to go through?"

This part was what affected Yennefer the most, as part of Kakashi's secret would be exposed.

"There is no such test, but if you show your worth to the three, they may make an exception for you."

That conversation was strange for Kakashi, he was confused, he didn't understand what Yennefer wanted him to do.

"What do I have to do to show my worth? Do I have to bring the head of someone important or some creature?"

Thinking about the possibilities, these were the only ones that made sense.

"Nothing so dramatic, they agree to a fight tomorrow and you will fight against a golem, produced by them."

Kakashi thought it would be a difficult thing to face, but if it was a golem like that, he had some plans on how to deal with it.

"The same as the previous one we faced, or a different one?"
