Student's Hell (1)
It has been a week since Team Seven began tree walking. I ordered them to keep moving up and down the tree even after they completed the exercise. During the week they pretty much mastered tree walking, of course Naruto is a bit behind with such large reserves.
Today begins their real training. I will be drilling them to the ground with two months of weight training, along with a jutsu each to keep them motivated. I want them to do more but it's not possible, with the wave mission two months away. I want them to be at least high Genin level before the mission. With goals set for my students I head to the training grounds to begin instructing their training.
Arriving at the training grounds I see my three students with tired looks on their faces.
"Before we begin your real training, did any of you notice a difference after completing the tree walking exercise?" I asked.
"I can make my fireball jutsu bigger and feel less exhausted after." Sasuke answered.
'Damn, why does Sasuke know everything!' Naruto thought jealously.
'As expected of Sasuke-Kun.' Sakura thought.
"Correct, there's many things that chakra control helps with. The most basic things are to help you not waste any chakra while using the jutsu allowing it to be stronger with less chakra." I explained.
"Kakashi Sensei, why didn't I notice a difference?" Naruto asked confused.
"Well, you are named Naruto Uzumaki, the Uzumaki clan was a clan on equal footing with the Uchiha and Senju clans causing multiple villages to get together to exterminate the clan leaving you one of the last Uzumaki. The Uzumaki clan was feared for their fuinjutsu talent and chakra potency. To explain it to you in simple terms, you have their chakra potency making you have stronger chakra along with you reserves that surpass mine and the Hokage along with your burden makes it hard for you to notice a difference until you get stronger." I explained.
"I knew I was awesome!" Naruto shouted excitedly.
"Yes, yes your awesome. Now it's time to begin your training, you will all start off with the same and as you progress, I will do more of a targeted training to maximize your gains." I spoke.
Pulling out twelve, twenty-pound weight bands I continued, "These are twenty-pound weight bands, you will attach one to each of your arms and legs. You will not take these off unless you are showering, sleeping or instructed otherwise. I understand you will get tired, and it will be painful, but it will all be worth it. This will allow you to quickly gain strength and speed. Do you three understand?" I asked.
"Yes, Sensei!" They answered in unison.
"For today I want you three to run as many laps as you can, while throwing punches. This will help you adapt to the weights for harder training tomorrow." I ordered.
Seeing them begin the exercise, I take a seat on top of a tree branch and begin watching over them. It is going how I expected it to, Sakura is behind by a pretty big margin, Naruto is right behind Sasuke with no fatigue and Sasuke is ahead with a slightly exhausted look.
'I'm proud of Sakura the most, she has changed just enough to understand that she needs to take her career seriously. I think it was a great choice to tell Kakashi's story, well I guess it's mine now.' I thought while watching their progress.
