Meeting between Hunters and Mages

Some weeks pass since then and Sarah was teaching Kai etiquette at the moment when an owl was overflying them. She suddenly threw a knife at the poor animal without Kai noticing it.

"Those damn mages really want to lose their heads," says Sarah quietly to herself as a letter began to come down towards them.

Sarah looked confused as she catcher the letter when she says, "Kaiser, take a break for a moment. I have to go to my office for a moment."

"Yes, grandma," says Kai as he rushed to his secret base while Sarah entered the Mansion.

Once in her office, she opened the letter while calling for Rebecca and Ben. She read the letter while waiting when she destroys the letter in her anger. Ben and Rebecca enter the room and find their mother suddenly touch a button that was under her desk as the painting of their Ancestor moved to the side revealing the Arsenal of Weapons.

"Is something wrong, mother?" asks Ben worried as Sarah walked towards the Arsenal and took two daggers and a sword from the wall scaring them.

"I need to kill some mages for rumoring around that my grandson is a mage," says Sarah as she looked at Rebecca while asking, "Or is what they say true and you are trying to protect your son?"

"No, Kai isn't a mage but he knows a magic trick or two like making a coin appear and disappear or some card tricks," says Rebecca as Sarah looked seriously at her.

"Then you will come with me. Your son is called a mage and this family fought against them even before England was united under one King. We won't let someone sully our family name and if your son really is a mage we will deal with it later on," says Sarah as she was serious about this situation.

She handed a sword to Rebecca while she looked at Ben and says, "Look after Kaiser until we are back. if he shows any sign of magic coming from him I want you to lock him into his room until we return."

Kai on the other hand was training under Logan when they were going through the basics of Alchemy when Logan says, "Alchemy is quite simple. You need to have something of the same value to exchange it with something like this."

Logan then takes a chunk of wood out and makes an Alchemy Circle before placing his hand against the circle creating a clock made out of wood when Logan says, "See, you only need to have something of the same value. We call that an Equivalent Exchange. But you need to remember some taboos of Alchemy."

"And those are?" asks Kai as Logan pets his head.

"Human Transmutation and Human Sacrifices. There is a third one but you will learn that this one is futile to people like us," says Logan as Kai was confused about everything.

"Human Transmutation is said to be able to bring the dead back to life by sacrificing the components needed. There were once two brothers that tried to bring back their mother that way. It didn't end well with the younger brother losing his whole body while the older brother lost his leg. Then he bound his brother's soul into an armor to not lose him. That cost him his right arm," says Logan as he didn't want his student to experience that horror.

Logan began to explain to Kai that there are still other taboos like Artificial Humans, Human Soul Binding, and Human Chimera. Kai seemed to be disgusted by it making Logan feel good that he chose a great student that knows his morals from a young age.

"You should return to the others. I need to go somewhere," says Logan as he smiled at Kai while vanishing like always.

Kai returned happily to the mansion but he was surprised to see his uncle and not his grandmother when he asks, "Where is grandma?"

"Mother had to leave with your mother to meet someone. But let's talk about you," says Ben as he sits down with Kai.

"I heard you can do magic," says Ben as he was talking about normal party tricks.

"Yes, but I'm not allowed to use it yet until my body is strong enough my teacher says 'A Mage needs to have a strong body and mind or he will always lose.'," says Kai making Ben laugh because they were talking about two different things.

"How about you show me a little trick," says Ben handing over a coin to Kai who now understood what Ben was talking about.

"Of course," says Kai as he performed the coin trick to Ben who was having fun with Kai while the women were out of the house.

"Where are we driving, mother?" asks Rebecca as they were driving out of town when they arrived at a house that was abandoned.

Sarah parks the car there and Rebecca asks, "Where are we?"

"We are in a Mage Hideout. This was used 6 years ago by the Potters when Voldemort was after them. They were caught and killed by Voldemort only their son survived. Voldemort died shortly after this incident," says Sarah as she opened the trunk and she took some guns out of it.

She handed one over and says, "If they try something kill them without doubting my decision. They will do the same."

"Yes, mother," says Rebecca taking the gun placing it on her hip on the other side of where her sword was.

They enter the building and find Dumbledore and McGonagall there holding a book and a quill. The Quill was writing the whole time as McGonagall was holding the book.

"You are finally here and I can see that you are well-armed. Let's hope it doesn't end in a fight," says Dumbledore as Sarah and Rebecca were looking at both Mages.

"Then let us bring it behind us, Dumbledore. I won't spare your life again if you tried to stain my family name," says Sarah as she was ready to kill Dumbledore.

"Well it would be better to show you than to tell you," says Dumbledore as McGonagall was nervous.

She walked forward while Dumbledore was saying, "Minerva has the Book of Admittance and the Quill of Acceptance. They are used in Hogwarts to identify young mages so we can send letters of acceptance to them. But some weeks ago a name appeared on it that made the blood freeze in our veins. We were discussing what to do and decided to accept the child into our school if their parents allowed it."

McGonagall was now standing in front of Sarah and Rebecca. She was quite nervous since Sarah was like a Lion standing in front of its prey. She turned to a page and points to the name written on it.

"Dumbledore, how do we know that you didn't forge this!" shouts Sarah as her anger was showing.

"No mage can only the Quill can write in the Book when he picks up that a child used magic. Kaiser Masters had to have used magic in the last few weeks," says Dumbledore firmly.

"That can't be. Our family never had a mage in our ranks," says Sarah as suddenly someone began to laugh.

"Who is there?" asks Rebecca as Logan appears out of nowhere.

"Sorry, normally I only watch but the boy named Kaiser impressed me. Also, you had a mage in your ranks from the very beginning," says Logan as he walked forward.

They all were confused when Logan then brings out a piece of paper while saying, "Graham Masters, the First Mage Hunter-"

"He wasn't a mage," says Sarah as Logan sighs and snaps making her lose her voice.

"I haven't finished yet," says Logan as Sarah wanted to say something when nothing came out of her mouth.

Sarah suddenly pulled her gun and shot at Logan only to find the bullet fall to the ground after hitting Logan who smiled, "Girl, be happy that I like your family too much since I was the one to train Graham Masters."

"Now where was I again?" asks Logan thinking.

"Graham Masters, the First Mage Hunter," says Rebecca as Logan snaps his fingers.

"Right," says Logan as noises left Sarah's mouth again when Logan says, "Graham wasn't a Mage, that is true. But his wife, Morrigan Masters, was, how do you think your bloodline could be this strong and fast. She was a Völva, a Seeress in your language."

"She came from Norway?" asks Dumbledore as Logan nods.

"Yes, so came Graham. They changed their name when they arrived. Anyway, England back then was infected with evil mages and witches so I needed someone to intervene and that's when Graham came to use," says Logan as a throne of bones appeared and he sat down.

"And you are?" asks Sarah furious.

"I'm Logan Wyrm, the teacher of Graham and now also Kaiser's. Also, I'm not a mage. I'm quite more powerful and Graham's wife knew that she called me Odin. But she was wrong, I'm far more powerful than the Crowfather and older too," says Logan as both sides were now nervous about what could happen next.

"I'm here to make sure that Kaiser gets the education that is needed for when I'm not around. I want him to go to Hogwarts since his first trial will await him there," says Logan when Sarah wanted to say something but Logan stopped her.

"He will enter Hogwarts with or without you accepting it," says Logan firmly.

"Also, you Masters seemed to have drifted away from your original objective. It was to kill evil mages not all mages. But I won't condemn you since it was one of your Ancestors that changed the original mission and your name made many think twice about doing something in Britain," says Logan as he stood up from his throne.

"I want to train Kaiser physically and mentally until he turns fourteen then he will attend Hogwarts," says Logan as he turned to Dumbledore and says, "I want him in Ravenclaw or Slytherin, even Hufflepuff is better than Gryffindor."

"Why Slytherin or Ravenclaw?" asks Dumbledore not wanting to ask how Logan knew about the houses' system.

"Ravenclaw is quite a special place for the Masters since Miss Ravenclaw studied under Morrigan and Slytherin is just to scare those pure-blood fanatics. They deserve some torment," says Logan with a smile when he continues, "And he will really bloom in one of those houses since your little All-In card will be in Gryffindor."

"How-," says Dumbledore when Logan smiles.

"If I were you everything would have been resolved long ago but you seem to think that you could outthink everyone until it bites your ass, but let me tell you this. If you try to manipulate Kaiser, I will find your sister's soul and destroy it in front of your eyes slowly before killing you," says Logan as he then snaps his fingers and all of them disappear from the ruined house.

Sarah and Rebecca appeared in front of their mansion with the car parked in front of the gate while Dumbledore and McGonagall were in the Headmaster's office.
