"Whoa, you really come here." Lan Shirou arrived in the dining hall and noticed Yu Long talking with her dear husband. She would never have thought to see this sight right now.

"Morning, Mother." Yu Long smiled at Lan Shirou.

Lan Shirou raised her eyebrows because this was the first time Yu Long called her 'mother' as he usually called her auntie. She glanced at Cang Yue and saw a glimpse of blush on her fair cheeks.

'Ah, my daughter has gotten eaten by this youth.' Lan Shirou guessed the situation correctly. She didn't expect her daughter to move this fast.

Well, she also gave Cang Yue a thumbs up inside.

She giggled and responded, "Morning." 

"When did you arrive?" 

"Hmm, maybe a couple of minutes ago." Yu Long answered after some thought. "We are flying here." 

Cang Wanhe listened to Yu Long's replies curiously and couldn't help but be stunned because the distance between the Imperial City and Lost Heaven Sect is several hundred thousand, if not millions, miles apart.

Flying at such a great distance must expend quite an energy, but none of them looks flustered when meeting him in the gallery. 

'He performs like the rumors said, a mysterious genius. Three years ago, he was only a peak Earth Profound Realm. I wonder how powerful his cultivation base is now?' Cang Wanhe thought to himself. 

After all, Cang Wanhe couldn't sense Yu Long's cultivation base despite being a 7th level of Sky Profound Realm himself. It means his son-in-law's cultivation base is far higher than him!

As the breakfast continued, Yu Long talked with his in-laws and got to know them better. He has met Lan Shirou several times, but Cang Wanhe is a different man than expected.

"We discovered some substantial mines in the area, which we used to increase the Blue Wind Empire's local workforce. We paid them well enough and allowed the talented children to train their bodies." 

"If you visit the area, you will find a new city called Beast Gate City there."

"Interesting." Yu Long mumbled. "What kind of minerals does this mine have?" 

Cang Wanhe placed down his spoon and recalled some information at the back of his head, "Coarse Moon Stone, Obsidian Red Dust, Burning Jade, and some ordinary ore like iron, copper, and gold." 

"Burning Jade, and Coarse Moon Stone. They are pretty rare. You can make decent armor for soldiers with it." Yu Long commented.

Cang Wanhe chuckled and returned, "That's the plan. Blue Wind Empire is lacking and has the lowest profound practitioners compared to other nations, so I sought other ways to increase soldier's quality."

"True, true, if you can raise their cultivation, equipping them with good armor and weapons will do as well." Yu Long agreed with Cang Wanhe's way of thinking. 

Meanwhile, Lan Shirou sat near her daughter and asked, "So when did he eat you exactly?" 

Cang Yue blushed and answered, "Two days ago..." 

"Oh? It's actually more recent than I thought." Lan Shirou leaned to Cang Yue's ears. "Who started it first?" 

"M-Me..." Cang Yue fumbled with her breakfast.

Lan Shirou was surprised as she thought Yu Long would take the first initiative.

But thinking about it, the golden-eyed youth is an overwhelming genius, so he should be somewhat lacking in romantic things.

'So he's a type that needs a little push first.' Lan Shirou didn't know this side of her son-in-law.

"By the way, how are you, Qingyue? Guan?" Lan Shirou greeted the quiet ladies on the opposite side of the table.

"Good." Hong Guan answered monotonously.

Xia Qingyue lifted her head from the plate below and smiled, "I'm good, auntie."

At least Lan Shirou wasn't that worried anymore. Her daughter has taken a firm spot!

"As for you two..." Lan Shirou glanced at Chu Yueli and Chu Yuechan, who wore blue-white maid outfits and veils.

"Have we met before?" 

Chu Yueli removed her veil and replied, "It's me, empress." 

"Fairy Chu Yueli??" Cang Wanhe, who was talking with Yu Long, was shocked by Chu Yueli's presence. 

'Does that mean the woman beside her is...' 

Chu Yuechan also removed her veil and greeted them, "It's been a while, Emperor, Empress." 

"W-What happened?" Cang Wanhe and Lan Shirou stared at Chu Yuechan in disbelief. Why did the number 1 beauty of Blue Wind Empire wear a maid outfit?

Chu Yuechan maintained her calm look and answered, "I owed Young Master Yu Long a lot, so he took me to become his maid to pay it back." 

"..." Cang Wanhe.

"..." Lan Shirou.

"Son-in-law/Yu Long, this is..." They glanced at Yu Long, who innocently slurped his noodles.

"What?" Yu Long cast a confused look. 

"As she said, I took her as my maid."

In the end, Chu Yueli was the one who explained Chu Yuechan's situation to them. 

"I see..." Cang Wanhe understood why Chu Yuechan became Yu Long's maid. If he was 'similarly' offered to become strong by Yu Long, he's willing to take a risk as well.

Lan Shirou didn't think it was this simple.

"Very well, it's good to get out and breathe fresh air sometimes." Cang Wanhe agreed immediately. He has been stuck in the Imperial Palace for months because of his neverending paperwork.

"It's decided then..." Yu Long chuckled heartily.

Several high-end carriages and profound arks arrived at the Blue Wind Imperial City. There was a rumor saying that a Sovereign-Grade Treasure would get auctioned tonight.

Yu Long waved his hand and said, "Escort us there." 

"Eh, VVIP room?" Cang Wanhe was stunned. "I never thought you had such a deep connection with Blue Sky Auction House."
