6 chapter 6: first battle

(sky's pov)

"gahk, stupid rat if you want a fight I'll give you one." as sky stumbles back from the impact of the rat's tackle. while the rat flew a bit farther since it is a bit smaller than her.

"squick!!" as the rat prepared for battle it shows it's teeth to her as a threat.

'oh you litttle.' " taste my flame breath then " as her mouth started to go aflame. she opened her mouth and released a puff of fire that reach 18 inches away from her enough to hit the rat.

'what so little, i thought it would do more than that' as sky see's that she only burnt a small portion of the rat's fur and some is even showing it's skin. the rat stubbled back surprised by the fire that the feline produce from it's mouth and have become alert of its mouth.

'oh yeah i have observe skill i should use it.' she thought "observe" as sky look's into the rat.

STATUS: SURPRISED, HUNGRY AND TIRED

'at least i could see its health.' as sky prepare herself for battle by rasing her hindquarters ready to pounce.

thay waited who will make the first move on one another. the rat got impatient and ran towards sky to try and headbutt her again. sky saw the rat running towards her and she use her fire breath again to the rat right infront of her.

'wow that's a lot of damage, i thought it's only going to do 3 damage but it's not. then is it random, by chance or is there a set of damage that it could do.' before sky could think more about her damage the rat came out of the fire and tackled her.

'gah my face' she stumble back and staggered as the rat crash into her face.

sky recovered and look at the rat. she saw half of it's face having second degree burns and the rat is sqinting it's eye's. sky also smells burnt hair and skin which originated from the rat.

'i don't know if I'm hungry or disgusted that i want to eat this rat after i kill it.' sky notice that the rat is straggling to stand up and it's having problems keeping balance.

"that's right get beaten by me, you stupid rat!" as sky gloat to the rat. it was able to stand up, stable itself and started to turn around to run away from her.

"oy!!! what the hell you started this fight at least finish it even if you get killed by me."

before she could give chase, the rat trip and loss it's balance resulting into it hitting the floor hard.

this is a no brainer I'll finish this rat and i might need it for food. if i can't eat the peach I'll 'ugh' eat the rat.

"it's a good thing that i have flame breath, so i don't have to eat this rat raw." as she finish off the rat.

'it wasn't really my first time seeing some animal's die. my uncle back where my grandparents lived they have a traditions to have a fresh live stock to drain their blood out from their neck especially chicken's, goats and pigs. i remember that and scared me so i stayed at my cousin room crying when i saw them doing it for the first time, i still could hear the scream of the animal's as they are being drained from their blood and probably choking in them too.'

as she use her claws to cut the rat's throat. a screen pop up infront of her face as she was done with her kill.

'wow a lvl up already this is awesome, given that I'm still a a low level and normally low levels gains more or get xp fast than the high level people. a level up is a level up after all i can take what i could take and a win is a win.' as when she had time to breath another screen pop up before she could stand up and get closer to the rat's body.

as her mouth glows with bright golden glow. she let her saliva drop on her paw to heal herself. in 3 second her bruises disappeared and a screen pop up.

'i just spent all my mana on one battle and it's a rat of all things. well at least i didn't die to it that would be embarrassing.'

"now how do i store this corpse."

"oh how convenient so that's how i store stuff and probably any other things. it's by my intent that the system work, if i want something stored it will do it as long as it's capable of doing it."

"ok now for the peach system... system hello?" as she waited for the system to respond but nothing happened.

"so i have to get closer to it so i can put it to my inventory" as she walks closer to the peach.

"now what do i do." as she looks around and think what's the plan of action now. she waited for a sign from the system or fate but nothing happened. she even waited for a hot guy falling infront of her just like the female novel she read about but nothing happen. then she got an idea of grabbing a stick and let it fall.
