The cleansing of the soul was or should be quiet a favorable experience for those who have soul based illnesses, or for souls that were troubled and unable to move on to the next life. But scrub something hard enough and it would wear off, be scrubbed clean without anything left behind. Michael's powers, his abilities with soul energy was unlike anything that I have ever seen, and the fact it seemed from me was a wonder in and out of itself, but in the aftermath of this battle, looking into those blazing eyes of blue green soul energy left me feeling weak in the knees.
