Connect 1.2

She was the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my life. Flawless skin. Just one look and I couldn't turn away. In my fluster, I heard a giggle. I looked over to my right and I see a lady, probably in her 20's smiling at me.

As she looked at me I felt ashamed by my looks. Compared to her I was lanky, short and rather 'Unkept'. Her on the other hand sheet had luscious red hair, round checks and a body that would make models cry.

As I was in my thought she walked to me and said: "It's quite the beautiful statue is it not?"

'Statue?' I thought to look back to the first face I saw when I awoke to notice that it was indeed a statue. Gaping at the statue I couldn't help but think. If the person in the statue is so beautiful that I couldn't even look from its face long enough to notice it was a statue, how beautiful would the actual woman be?

Noticing my stunned expression the woman then said "Hi, my name is Anna. The council sent me here to welcome you. Please follow me this way"

I turned around to see a palace like none I have ever seen before. The walls look as if its granite but it gave off a sheen like gold, I would know because the whole floor is made from gold. The more I walk the more statues I see. I saw one of a man elderly in his age holding what appears to be lightning in his hand.

Another shows a woman that has a beauty unlike any of the women I have seen since I have arrived. Just looking at it makes you want to never look away.

"Hurry along please it's not wise to keep the council waiting. They have been expecting you for a while now." Anna said

"Who is the council you keep telling me about? And where is this?" I asked

In a voice full of reverence she replied "The council is the leader of our people. With them the skies remain calm, our sailers and fishermen return safely from seas, and with them my our souls rest in peace."

As we turned around a corner I see a giant Golden door. She kneeled and said "Anna returning with the chosen one"

When she said that I almost choked. "Chosen one? Chosen for what? Where is this?"

'Thinking back now growing up in the bay would have somehow shown me what happens if you follow people in an unknown place'

In the middle of the thoughts, I hear a Deep and powerful chuckle.

"Come in young one let us see you." As he was speaking the door opened as if by magic. And even as my heart told me not to go I found my body taking its first steps to enter.

As I enter the door behind me closes and the room was pitch black.

"Don't worry young one your eyes will adjust to the [light]" said the voice again. Just as he said my eyes began to quickly adjust and I noticed that there were more than 6 seats in the room. Each seat was filled. I can see the shadows but not the person sitting in them at least not all of them.

Sitting in the very center of the room I see the man from the statues I have seen before.

He spoke "Welcome to the council chambers. I am the god of God's, the youngest but most powerful, I am Zeus."

He said as the thunder crackled in the background. Next to him, I saw the woman in the first statue I say. " I am Hera the queen of the gods" she spoke.

As I was looking around they seem to be trying to introduce themselves but we're interrupted by Zeus. "Young one we do not have much time. This may bring you a bit of pain but we must move this quickly." He pointed at me and I felt a flood of information within my mind that came from nowhere and fell to the floor. As I got up and looked again it felt as if I know who each of them is.

"As you get more powerful and more accustomed to the godly energy you may stay longer but for now I must force this conversation to tell you what is going to happen. This is the 'void'. Many people think that it's a place between all realm, a place that no one or nothing can live. And they wouldn't be wrong, the void is very large and everything in the void is contradictory so anything is possible."

He looked at me as to see if I am following along "Within the 'void' a normal should won't be able to last long. The reason you are still alive is due to our godly aura protecting you." He said with pride.

"The reason you are here is that that being you call 'Pandora' demanded we help. Normally this would be breaking many of our ancient rules we cannot go against it. We are of the void so many of the rules do not protect us as it would a god of a world." He stopped with a look of disgust in his face.

"Even though we have been forced into this task we are Olympians we aren't one to shy away." As he was about to continue his rant I noticed his wife Hera grabbed his attention.

"We don't have much time so I will allow our daughter to explain the rest," Hera said as a golden light flashed next to me.

She rose her hand to shake mine. "Hi, I'm Athena. Nice to meet you, Taylor."

Feeling a bit surprised because I never introduced myself she said. "You are our chosen one, whether you or we like it. We know much about you." At that, I shook her hand and once again she memories flooded my mind. It wasn't as bad as the first but it still hurts.

She smiled at me and said "Our time is up. If you need help just call me and I will answer. Remember my name, Athena." Then I jutted up from my 'meditation' to find that it was morning and I was once again in my hospital room. I dropped back and thought with a smile.

'I'm a parahuman'
