Season 1 (CH14):

The rest of the week blew by before he knew it Saturday came around, at the moment he was sleeping alone in his bed and it felt really empty. The day after the game he put locks on his windows and told Allison to sleep in her own bed, it hurt him to do it but he wouldn't sleep in the same bed as her when she was clearly into Scott.

"Hey any plans for the day?" His mom asked as she walked into the room with a smile on her face.

"Yeah hanging out with a friend today, need anything?" He said while putting on a shirt always wondering why they caught each other as he was going out or she was going to sleep.

"Nothing just wondering. I do have an off day this week and was wondering though if you wanted to go out and do something, I was thinking bowling, it has been awhile since I beat you." She said with a smile leaning against the door frame.

His smile grew as he stuffed his wallet in his pocket, "Sounds fun. How about a bet though? Whoever wins the best of three in bowling gets something from the other."

"Alright and what is it that you are want?" She asked raising a brow becoming a lot more intrigued by the request.

"I want the Mustang for a week without you using it at all." He said knowing that it would kill her if she even went two days without being able to use it.

She grimaced but put on a confident expression, "Sure that sounds good. And if I win then you have to cook my meals every day for a week, that means by the time I get home my food should be made, along with my favorite wine out to drink."

He nodded as they both shook on it, she was looking a lot happier about going bowling this week, she told him she would tell him when her off day was and walked off. He shook his head but smiled happily, they haven't been able to spend much time together so he was happy to be able to spend some time with her.

Telling her he was leaving Ryan took off to go to Lydia's, there were going to meet there before they decided to do anything, he happened to see Allison as he was leaving. Since he told her dad he wasn't training today it looked like she was doing something different today, she waved at him and looked like she wanted to walk over but he shook his head.

He still wasn't one hundred percent sure what he wanted to do about her, since there was no doubt there were feelings from his side but he didn't see any from her, instead she treated him like just a really close friend. He remembered seeing a post that said 'If I flirt around you, then most likely then we are just friends. If I act weird and awkward then it is because I like you.'

At the moment he was the former and not the latter, but he did see that she was the latter with Scott so it kind of was obvious how her feelings towards him were. Not that he really wanted to admit that a post online was right, but he had no other reason to not believe that it was at this moment with his feelings.

Letting go of those feelings he got in the Volvo and took off, he didn't want that to cloud his mind today, instead he was hoping to spend a good time with Lydia, the real Lydia. The drive wasn't long either, her house was near theirs just like on the other side of the community, he saw her car along with another as he pulled into the driveway.

Getting out the car he walked to the front door, he only hesitated a moment before knocking then also ringing the doorbell, he was actually a little nervous. Most people he talked to came to his house, other then when he was playing DnD he never really needed to go to other people's houses, he didn't know how to act.

Ryan didn't need to wait long before someone opened the door, she looked like and older version of Lydia just with brown hair instead of Lydia's beautiful strawberry blonde hair. "You know all you needed to do was knock right? No need to do them both." She said with a small smile on her face.

"Sorry ma'am, I was nervous." He admitted with a small blush taking over his face.

Her smile seemed to grow seeing him blush, "Well isn't that cute. My name is Natalie Martin, I am Lydia's mom, she told me you would be showing up. Her room is the first on the right when you go up the stairs, I don't know what she is doing at the moment but you can go right on up."

"Thank you and it is nice to meet you, I am Ryan Stevens." He said as he passed her with a friendly smile coming back to himself since she gave off such a calming feeling. Way different to Allison's mom who glares at him most of the time when they meet.

Going up the stairs he turned a little to see her going into what he saw was a study, going up the stairs he saw along the wall was pictures of the family. There were a lot of Lydia with who he assumed was her grandmother, he didn't see any of her with her dad just mainly her mother and grandmother but he still smiled seeing it.

Reaching the top of the stairs he went to the door he was told, knocking he waited a second before it was swung open, standing there was Lydia who did not looked dressed to go anywhere. "Sorry, I knew you were coming but I have to finish homework first. I usually spend my Saturday mornings doing it so I don't have to waste Sunday rushing through it, you don't mind right?"

"Not at all. I do mind Friday night so I don't need to worry though." He said grinning as he followed her back into the room, on her bed was a dog who he knew as her dog Prada. It watched him curiously as he walked over to it before he leaned down to pet it making the dog wag its tail.

"Yeah I would do that if Jackson didn't bug me about hanging out." She mumbled while taking a seat back on the chair that she was sitting at.

He didn't say anything about it but started laying on her bed while playing with the dog, it wasn't his place to comment on her relationship, plus he couldn't even manage his own. "So what were you thinking we should do today?" he asked while rubbing Prada's belly.

"I honestly don't know. I was thinking of just winging it, who knows what we have in common so it wouldn't be a good plan to actually plan something out. We would be better off just coming up with things on the fly, but for now let me finish these last two assignments before I get ready." She said then went back to her work.

He shrugged and pulled up something to read on his phone, he would take moments to look at her then go back to it, this reminded him a little of the time he spent with Allison. The only difference though was that they weren't all cuddled up, instead they were doing different things while being in comfortable silence.

"Why do you keep looking at me?" She asked sighing and setting down her pen.

"Because being with you is just so calming. Like I have hung out with Allison like this but it was different, with you it is easier since I don't need to concentrate to be calm. With her it is harder since she is always trying to do something to distract me." He said which was half truth since she did always try and do something flirty to distract him while he was drawing.

His answer seemed to stump her though as she looked at him with shock, there was also a small smile on her face, "Well..... I don't know what to say to that. I guess I am glad to know that but also at the same time a little upset that I don't distract you as much as she can."

"Trust me if you tried you could. You are no where any less then her in looks, but it is just that you aren't trying. To be honest when me and her are alone she tries to be a flirt like big time, while you are more of a calm effect for me but also have that hidden flirty side." He said smiling at her lightly.

Her smile grew as she beamed at him, nodding she went back to finish the little homework she had left but he could feel that she was just radiating happiness all around her. Shaking his head he went back to the book he was reading, he didn't mind waiting on her, he was actually enjoying the candy scent that was all over the room along with her light humming that he knew she didn't even realize she was doing.
