Spending Time with Chen Yi (2)

"Er... Chen Yi, where are you going to bring me?" Wang Yi Ling asked as Chen Yi dragged her forward with him. He still didn't let her hand go.

"Hmmm... How about we go to that restaurant?" Chen Yi pointed to the restaurant not far from where the two of them stood. Wang Yi Ling raised her eyebrow, with quizzical expression painted on her face.

"I'm hungry," Chen Yi answered her, short and straight. Wang Yi Ling speechless. Hungry? At this hour? Wang Yi Ling glanced at her watch. Oh, it was indeed time to have lunch. Before she could agree with Chen Yi, her stomach growled with hunger. Her cheek blushed vigorously. Damn! Why is it suddenly growl? She was totally embarrassed with the situation that made her awkward.

Chen Yi burst up laugh. He shook his head helpless. He was enjoying himself upon seeing Wang Yi Ling's flushed red cheek. She definitely didn't need to put on some blush to make her little face becoming alive. He tightened his hand around her little hand and dragged her towards the restaurant.

Both of them sat at the table next to the big window. Wang Yi Ling looked out of the window. People were hustled and barely stopped a moment to take a look around them. Such a modern life. Chen Yi touched her hand slightly and shoved a menu in front of her.

"You know my preference," she spoke softly then turned back her sight towards outside. To be honest she was enjoying watching people's expression on the street. Some were chatted happily with their peers. Some were walked alone on the street. Some looked lost in their thoughts. What a sight!

"Oh, anyway, why did you look for me just now?" Wang Yi Ling asked him. A smile was pasted on her little face. She had long wanted to ask him when he was barged in her room earlier. Although, it was a norm that he always came to her room whenever she was with Chen Xing and Zhao Yan. You can say that he was the only male friend that came in contact closely to her.

Hmm, to think of this, she just realized that she didn't have many male friends in real life, apart from her course mate. She casually looked at Chen Yi and caught him looked at her with mixture expressions, one second curious and the next longing gaze appeared in his hazel eyes. She raised her left eyebrow into a beautiful arch that made her appeared seductive. Chen Yi cleared his throat.

"Nothing, I was just planning to ask you out for lunch," he replied nonchalantly. But there was a hint of nervousness in his voice. Wang Yi Ling smirked. She knew it was not the case. There must be something. She tapped her tiny fingers on the table and studied Chen Yi's expression.

Interesting, she thought to herself. Chen Yi has never had took initiative to ask her out for lunch. Usually, it would be either Chen Xing or Zhao Yan's treat and Chen Yi would tag along with them. Why would he suddenly came and ask her out? Hmm, fishy…

"Really?" There was doubt in her voice. She kept on studied Chen Yi's expression. Hands on the cup of coffee and a smirked presented on her beautiful face. Chen Yi in return stared at her. How much he wished he could touch her face, kiss it and carve it deep into his heart. But, up to now, he hasn't got his chance to tell her. Would she reciprocate his feeling? Suddenly he became agitated, with what had happened recently. His twin sister has been trying to find a boyfriend for Wang Yi Ling and forgotten that she got a brother that could become boyfriend item for Wang Yi Ling.

"Yeah, there's nothing more to it. Don't overthink, my dear Yi Ling," he responded nonchalantly. Upon hearing his 'mr dear Yi Ling', Wang Yi Ling's face blushed. Gosh, why was he kept on teasing me?, she thought. If I don't know any better, I would say Chen Yi is trying to hit on me, she thought. With this thought in her mind, she was stunned. Hit on me? Why on earth I think of something like that? She cursed herself for thinking of such thought. Damn!

"Oh I'm not dear Chen Yi, you don't have to worry," she said, teasing Chen Yi back with his words. Chen Yi spurted his drink and coughed vigorously. Wang Yi Ling laughed.

"Oh look at you dear, why did you suddenly cough so badly? Isn't that you're ok just now?" Wang Yi Ling couldn't stop to tease Chen Yi. By then, their foods were arrived and Wang Yi Ling stopped teasing Chen Yi and slowly enjoyed her food. Chen Yi looked at her, his heart and soul was totally chaotic just because of the 'My dear' uttered by Wang Yi Ling. If only they were truly become lovers…

"Do you want to go anywhere after this?" he asked, trying hard to cover his chaotic heart. The adrenaline pumped was so intense that he almost couldn't breathe. He ate his dish slowly with no real intention to eat although he was hungry. Wang Yi Ling thought for a while. She was having her spaghetti before she put down her chopstick.

"Home, I still have assignment to finish," she casually said. Chen Yi took a deep breath and tapped his fingers on the table before he nodded his head. He was intended to bring her to the shopping mall or maybe catching up some movies, but since she said she needed to finish her assignment, he can only give up, only for the time being.
