6 Swallow Me Alive, I Beg of You!

"Since it's Big Sister Jia Ne's fault, you must take your responsibility this instance and treat us to dinner," the little devil blurted out smugly.

"Eh?" her eyes widened to the point that with just a tap there is a high probability that she will drop them.

"Excuse me? Can you please elaborate what were you saying? I do not seem to understand what you were trying to imply here," she tried to look composed and spout these words in between gritted teeth.

The little devil gave her a side-glance and showed a condescending grin as if saying she's stupid for not understand simple logic.

Jia Ne gave the guy a pleading gaze hoping that they can just forget everything and move on however her little cousin is like a boulder that's hard to move. The guy gave off a helpless sigh and brushed her off.

He crouched down and patted the little girl's head like taming a puppy.

"Aww what a cute little thing. You want dinner?" he said while propping himself down to keep her eye level. The little devil felt satisfied and nodded earnestly. She immediately opened both of her arms wide and said in a very soft and melodious voice, "Hug, big brother."

Jia Ne expression stiffened as this disaster unfolded itself before her.

'Damn my eyes! This is so blinding! How come you allow that pedophile hug you like that openly? Please have some restraint! Just give me some face and retain your modesty for Pete's sake!'

' Hey little demon! Bring my cute little cousin back! My pure, bubbly and loyal cousin. I hope you may rest in peace wherever you are.' *Sob.

She was still in the middle of her inner struggle when she heard a hoarse bass voice beside her.

"Uhh… w-where will you treat us for dinner?" he asked while scratching the back of his head timidly. He looked so flustered like a lost dog however, a few hours later, that little puppy turns out to be an evil fox.

Having witnessed this iconic play unfold before him after he sobered up and comprehended the situation he's currently at, he decided that it won't hurt him if he goes along with the little angel's act. Since he was bullied to helplessness earlier, he can direct his frustration to a free target for all once in a while.

Imagine her life right now together with the little devil and the evil fox. It was quite a torture. She was drained physically, mentally, emotionally and any word with -lly on its end.

It turns out that the saying birds of the same feathers flock together is true. The family of three, (***ahem correction- the group of three) roamed around the mall for another hour. Until then, Jia Ne did her best to drag her half dead and half alive body to accompany them hoping to end the day immediately when the two devils become tired.

Looking back, the big and little devil were still laughing with each other when suddenly, the evil fox' smile froze in place.

"Big brother what's wrong?" the little devil asked out of worry.

It pained her seeing her 'Big brother' making this expression.

[A/N: Lol she's just over reacting. Kidding aside she has her reasons to abandon our Jia Ne and stick out for our hero Ji Chen.]

Suddenly, the little devil felt the urge to cry as she remembered the trauma she had a year ago.

Ji Chen snapped out of his daze and tried to appease her ever changing mood.

"Calm down, it's nothing really. I just felt that I forgot something I am supposed to do for today. That's all," he said in a coaxing manner.

Of course, that hidden opportunity did not escape Jia Ne's keen eyes. With a cold glint, she immediately got an idea and tried throwing words at him to chase him away. Her life depended on this opportunity and she better strike while the iron is hot.

"Really? You did not forget anything?" She asked in a probing approach.

Ji Chen paused again and tried to think harder. He furrowed his brows and knew that something was amiss. It seems that the words he was looking for was at the tip of his tongue but he cannot sort out his idea to spill it out.

'He-he,' Jia Ne let out a smirk.

"Well let me help you think about it. I think it's very important," she said with a meaningful smile. She averted her gaze to the little devil and threw daggers at each other using their eyes.

She paused for a brief moment and closed her eyes as if contemplating on something.

'He—Checkmate.' She was not able to contain her smug face anymore. Her slender frame was no longer able to contain her proud and domineering demeanor. In a knowingly manner, she opened her eyes again and locked her gaze on Ji Chen.

He shivered upon feeling the coldness in the atmosphere. He looked deeper into Jia Ne's eyes and was puzzled when he can no longer feel that devious aura he felt a few milliseconds ago since she reverted back to her innocent façade.

"Don't you think you have someone to pick up today?" She smiled sweetly.

The little devil felt her impending defeat and her automatic water machine flowed freely. In a very melodramatic way, her tears started cascading down her cheeks like a stream of water flowing down a river.

"B-Big brother… are you leaving?" she looked at him in her most vulnerable and pitiful state hoping to get sympathy from him but what she witnessed was a Ji Chen devoid of blood.

Feeling his wavering eyes and trembling body, her heart sank.

Little devil's jaw dropped and knew that it was her defeat this time.

"Wahhhh!!!!! I'm doomed!" Ji Chen jolted and was on the verge of collapsing.

'Hey earth I beg of you swallow me alive now!' he lamented on his misfortune and started running away from the duo.

A few moments later, his retreating figure can be seen again as he jogged back to them and blamed Jia Ne for not reminding him on something so crucial.

"It's all your fault. I will never forget you and get my revenge," he spat out and continued on his path of retreat.

Hearing his threat, Jia Ne's victorious smile turned stiff and all she heard was the little devil's devious laughter echoing in the entire place.
