2 Something Warm and Sticky

PK Master: The heck! Why did he leave all of a sudden?

Puppeteer: I have no idea dude. Do you think he abandoned us as well?

K.O.: Nah. Probably he is in seclusion to cry out his achy breaky heart. LOL.

Lunch Thief: Did we go overboard guys?

Xtremenator: Nah.. You're the most savage among all of us LT, I think your idea was brilliant.

PK Master added air to LT's bloating head and added: Yeah, LT is full of awesomeness. Nothing can describe his magnificence.

Puppeteer: I totally agree with @PK Master.

Hearing all flatteries that filled him to the brim, LT slightly smile and said as a matter-of-factly, "I know right? Boss was just too domineering that he overshadowed by brilliance. BTW, I am so happy that we can be forever single dogs for all eternity!"

Everyone turned stiff and does not know whether to laugh or cry and thought to themselves.

'We're not like you LT, alright!? Don't jinx our incoming spring and tie us down with you!!!'

On the other hand, Ji Chen was still sulking in front of his monitor and looked at the screenshots of their previous conversations with his beloved goddess. His expression changes multiple times every single minute but was interrupted by his mom's scolding again.

He harrumphed and heavily opened his math textbook.

'Tch. Why is there a need to go to study again? I don't need all the studying and stuff. All I want to do is play and earn money and maybe strive to become the number professional player of XX. My life will be worth it if I can achieve that.'

He kept flipping his Math textbooks but his mind was completely out of focus and wanders from time to time. He got bored from doing the same action for a long time now so he decided to drop the idea of forcing himself to study mathematics and stood upright to go downstairs.

He was kind of hungry so he dropped by the kitchen to grab some snacks but was reprimanded by his mom again. His mood dropped even more hearing his mom's unending scolding and wanted to walk out when suddenly he was asked to go and pick up his cousin from the airport.

Ho-ho. He was just hoping to get some peace and quiet but seemingly, he was not entitled to such advantage in this lifetime. To lift his mood a little, he allowed his mind to fly high in the sky when unexpectedly, someone blind bump onto him.

"Aya!!! Watch where you're going! Are you blind?!" He immediately bawled at that certain someone who bumped onto him. He was so pissed the entire day that he did not give any attention to anyone in his way and just paced forward to enter the arrival area of the airport however, someone grabbed him from behind.

Due to his innate reflexes, he immediately posed in a self-defense position when finally, his eyes met the eyes of a petite being.

'Oh? What's wrong with this little girl's head grabbing someone unknown in the middle of the road?'

He immediately reverted back to his normal demeanor and called dispassionately.

"Hey." He waited for the girl to give any normal reaction for his call but she just kept on staring at him as if he is a long-lost puppy, I mean treasure.

Knowing that the petite being have no plans on answering his call, he raised a brow and looked at her intently.

"Hey I'm talking to you. Do you have a screw loose?" He asked again trying to contain his displeasure.

He knew that he is not the best person to handle situations that involves little kids especially girl ones since he's an only son. He looked exasperated for a short while but has no choice but to comply with the little girl's needs to know where he's returning her. He thought she might have been lost and it was hard to be a little one lost in the middle of a big crowd. It's like she a grain of sand dropped in the dessert. Obviously, it was better to guide her to a safe location and the authority can help her look for her parents.

Having this realization in mind, he squatted down in front of her and lightly pat the little girl's cheeks hoping that this time, she will give a decent reaction. Thinking of a way to return the little girl to her parents, he noticed that the little had undergone massive changes on her expression from fear, shock and then tear some. Tears immediately built-up at the corners of her big hazelnut eyes ready to flow at any time. He was taken aback by this scene and does not know what to do.

"... B- bro....uwahhhh!!!!" the girl cried as if there's no tomorrow and dug her face on his shoulder out of the blue.

He was panic-stricken as he has not studied a survival article on how to cope up with his current scenario. He inhaled deeply and mustered some resolution from within.

"Hey hey hey what are you..." He tried pulling himself away from the girl and touched his shoulder to check if there's something on it. Brushing his shoulder with his fingers, he touched something moist.

'Ugh what the hell? What's this sticky stuff? Did she put glue on me while I was not aware?'

He stared at his fingers with the sticky stuff all over it when suddenly realization struck him.

His hands trembled and slowly he raised his head to see the little girl's appearance clearly hoping that the sticky moist stuff is not what he thinks it is.

*Sniff. * Sniff. "B-Bro..."

Raising his gaze, his eyes dawned over a teary-eyed little girl with snot flowing from her nose due to crying. Seeing that scene, his world collapsed in an instant.

'F*ck! F*ck! F*ck! I touched it! It's warm and sticky and watery.... And.... Wahh!!! The heck with my luck!'

He was on the verge of collapsing when he remembered her words.

"Bro?" a whisper left his lips but is enough for the little girl to hear him.

"En."
