9 So Ordinary…

Having logged out of the game and without anything else to do for the rest of the night, Ji Chen finally felt the stillness of the night and it's deafening silence. The silence was so overbearing that he almost reached his breaking point.

He threw himself on his bed and attempted to sleep however, the more he forced himself to close his eyes to sleep, the more his mind wanders that his senses heightened. The ticking sound of the clock kept on resounding inside his head.

He tried shifting his entire body to a more favorable position for him to fall asleep but was to no avail. After a few minutes, an idea suddenly flashed in his mind and he dragged himself in front of his computer again. For the past few days of her absence, Ji Chen developed a rather bothersome habit that whenever he is unable to sleep during the night, he will open his computer and read his conversation with his 'first love' to the point of being captivated into a trance. Being occupied by that sweet memories of his, he finally slumped into the depth of darkness.

Daybreak came and Ji Chen can be seen walking towards the campus with dark circles visible under his eyes. Apparently, our heroic Ji Chen had conquered a hundred battle last night and thus he persevered to drag his half dead body towards his classroom. No one could have known that he had undergone hardships during his sleep and was imprisoned by the evil clutches of an evil witch. He was hunted to every corner of the world and the struggle was so close to reality.

While being imprisoned, he was kept in a chamber with trashes as his bed and pillow. Everything around him was trash that in an instant he will be buried under a pile of trash making him suffocate.

He was clinging to his last thread of life until suddenly, his savior arrived on time. He tried to pry open his eye to get a glance of this savior of his, however, when his eyes dawn upon the distinctive facial features of his savior, his soul exited his body and left him drop dead.

He would have never imagined that the captivating face of his savior was a housefly's enormous head staring at him intently trying to give him CPR.

It was the worst kind of dream he has ever encountered and the fault boils down to just one person. It's all her fault. A cold glint flashed across his eyes.

[A/N: How come he's blaming her and not LT's blabbering mouth? Ji Chen must have a loose screw.]

He clenched both of his hands into fists and swore that if given the chance that he will meet her again, he will keep her in her rightful place in order not to cause more damage to humanity.

When he arrives in front of his classroom, all the ruckus that was happening inside was gone into thin air. Everyone knew that Ji Chen is not in the mood for the day seeing that he have all of that dark circles under his eyes and he exuded a cold and aloof aura. Everybody is worried that he will make a big fuss again and endanger the entire class again.

The Ji Chen at school is apparently well-known for his notoriety and nobody wanted to mess up with him especially when he is not in the mood. Some says he's kind of handsome if one looks at him better and kind of gentle when you are in his good books. However, nobody has the guts to strike a conversation with him. If stares can kill then he's the number one killer in the entire campus.

He seems to be devoid of any interest that he most of the time, h sleeps in class but still ends up getting passing marks during exams. Due to this, the teachers stopped bothering about his behavior as long as he keeps a passing grade.

One person will be an exception though…

When the school bell rang to indicate that it will be the start of the class, their teacher made some measly introduction and directly got to the point. The teacher said that a new classmate will be joining their class starting today and that news created an uproar in the entire classroom neglecting the sleeping devil at the corner of that four-sided compartment.

His brows furrowed because of that chaos but still remained indifferent about it.

'What are they getting excited about? He'd better exhaust his energy in playing online games than make a fuss about a new classmate.'

When the teacher finally finished his introduction and said that a girl will be added to the class, the boys cheered even more drowning all the girl's whines.

Every boy's attention was directed at the front door hoping for a goddess to appear. They stared there intently and when they saw someone enter, the first thing that attracted their gazes was her jade-like smooth skin and fair complexion. However, when they saw her facial features, they became quiet that a pin drop can be heard.

They stood there frozen and did not any word the whole time. On the other hand, a smirk escaped from Ji Chen's usually expressionless face and continued sleeping at the corner.

When everyone was finally asked to settled down, one guy who was still lost in his thought like his dream was broken apart uttered absent-mindedly," So ordinary…"
