7 Prank the Boss
After an hour worth of intense ceremony from his mother that felt like a century, he can finally heave a sigh of relief ad dashed towards his room to immerse himself in his own small world. Of course, he did not forget to fantasize about his online wifey for ten whole minutes and left a message in their private channel pleading her to return.
[System Notification: Awesome Chen the Number 1 Harbinger is now online. Kneel down and he will show mercy!]
In his typically silent room, fingers tapping the keyboard resounded and a continuous ding sound echoed all throughout the enclosed chamber breaking the eerie feeling that lingered in the atmosphere for a long time. He was currently savoring the special hot cocoa his mom prepared for the evening.
Wrapping his hand around the warm ceramic mug, he felt satisfied. The warmth that flowed through his fingers banished the night chill that's overwhelming him. Having enough of his vanity moments, he opened his team's channel and was bombarded by loads of crap from his team.
At that moment, he was facing his monitor and was drinking his hot cocoa when he witnessed their nonsensical worships. He almost spat out his drink upon reading the conversation that popped up in his team channel explosively.
PK Master: Our king is here!!! XD
Puppeteer: Hooray! We are saved!!!
K.O.: Almighty Chen, you are here! Please forgive this unfilial servant for spouting rubbish earlier this noon.
PK Master: Me too…
Puppeteer: Me too!!
Xtremenator: All hail our great great grand uncle!
His fingers stiffened and thought there was something fishy going on. Without further ado, he directly inquired what scheme they had planned beforehand. Since he was not online the whole afternoon, he felt he was left in the dark and thus it triggered his curiosity to know more.
Awesome Chen: What are up to? (No response)
Awesome Chen: And who the hell added me back to this lousy group chat?!
Ji Chen prompted to the stricter approach to squeeze out answers from these bunch but was to no avail. He knew that he cannot get anything from so he resorted to look for the more 'honest and gullible' guy in the team to know the truth.
K.O.: …
PK Master: ….
Puppeteer: ...
Xtremenator: It's not me, boss. I swear on my innocence.
Awesome Chen: Really? Oh well. Let's wait for LT to spill the beans. He just logged on a few seconds ago.
The team channel became silent. Everyone was out of words and to throw some excuses. They exerted so much effort to salvage the situation and used up every ounce of brain juices they had to look for solutions. In the end, they agreed to leave everything to fate and just go with the flow.
After a while, the team channel was flooded again but this time, since everyone was are lost for words, they conveyed what they are feeling using emojis.
K.O. was drenched in sweat while PK master kept his mouth shut. Puppeteer cannot hide his anxiousness with cold sweat and thus send over an emoji that matches his expression. The least expected expression thrown out in his heavily tensed atmosphere was Xtremenator's playing dead emoji.

Seeing this unexpected event, Ji Chen's face softened especially upon seeing Xtremenator's innovative expression.
Awesome Chen: You've got some guts to use your creativity there @Xtremenator. I like it!
Ji Chen added a rolling on the floor emoji and sent it due to his loosened mood.
Everyone in front of their monitors froze and thought for a while. 'How come it was easy to appease Chen's anger today? Never thought it would that be easy.'
Time was ticking slowly and finally, the moment of truth arrived.
Lunch Thief: Yo guys, what did I miss?
PK Master: !!!!!
Puppeteer: !!!!!!!
Xtremenator: LT! Quickly log out! It's not yet time for lunch for you to steal our lunch boxes!
(Great Silence reigned among them.) Apparently, LT's brain was kind of slow and was not able to understand the hidden warning of their plea.
Lunch Thief: What are you playing at? I thought we had a deal to play prank with the boss?
K.O.: @#$@%$%$@%$!!!!!
PK Master: @^%&^$#%^$#%^!?
Xtremenator: ....
Ji Chen's eyes showed a cold glint then started probing.
Awesome Chen: Boss?
Puppeteer: Allow me to explain my Lord. We cannot let our uncivilized brother stain our reputation for this. We got into a misunderstanding earlier since that specific someone have a very slow brain and cannot catch up to our magnificence. And thus, resulted to this understanding.
K.O.: Yes, @Puppeteer is correct my Lord.
PK Master thought of a way to salvage the situation and hinted everyone to come up with a reasonable explanation.
PK Master: Apparently it will be world Boss today and we have planned a strategy earlier to get the first kill of the week for it. It seems there's a new reward for whoever kills the WB first in the entire server.
Awesome Chen: And? Does your strategy includes pranking the boss?
(Everyone fell in despair.) They immediately made a separate group channel that excludes Ji Chen and brainstormed among themselves on how to overcome this tragedy. Of course, they warned LT multiple times to shut his mouth while they are still fighting for their lives with the boss.
Everyone returned their attention back to the team channel and applied the stratagem they had brainstormed to appease the boss.
Xtremenator: Yes, my Lord. That's included in the magnificent plan created my LT. It was way too innovative and simply outstanding that all of us agreed to act on it without your prior notice since you were away the whole afternoon.
Pfft!!! Ji Chen choked on his own saliva reading their explanation of what's happening. 'Do they think I am a fool or what? Who would believe in those stuff?'

K.O.: We received an immediate notification earlier that there will be a new interphase in the system that we can only beat this week's WB through pranking. However, after the weekly maintenance the notification was removed and with that LT was not quite aware of the changes.
Awesome Chen: Oh, I see. Too bad I cannot see how you will make fun of yourselves trying to beat the boss then.
Ji Chen replied sarcastically and a smirk appeared on that handsome face of his. Everyone was so preoccupied about their success and was basking in glory of appeasing their boss' rage that they did not notice Ji Chen's sarcastic tone.
Everyone thought unanimously that they have overcome a very hard hurdle except for LT who was still trying to read back the entire conversation to understand the turn of events.
Lunch Thief: Was there such a thing? How come I did not know about it?
PK Master: F*ck! F*ck! F*ck!
K.O.: Goodbye guys, see you in the Netherworld.
Puppeteer: Just shut up for now LT!
[System Notification: PK Master has kicked Lunch Thief from the Team channel.]
While everyone's world was turned upside down, Ji Chen on the other hand was no longer able to contain his laughter and laughed it all out to the point that he was reprimanded by his mother for being too noisy in the middle of the night.
