Just a Cannon Fodder

Moriana Allison. A female side character who loves to befriend and follows the heroine wherever she goes enough to die for her sake. She simply took the sword in the heroine's stead. "If meeting death is the only way to be your friend, then I swear eternal friendship with you." After re-reading the novel for the 21st time, I realized that I only took her role for granted and got too focused with the romantic scenes. When I read her line, I was touched. No one in my life would be that desperate to be my friend. After that one moment, I cried my heart out all night and drift off to sleep. ........ I know that I pitied Moriana and wished that if I were her, I would live her life differently. But.... Why!? Why do I have to experience it literally!? "Anna, where are you going? Are you abandoning me?" Suddenly, the second male lead who's supposed to be obsessed with the female lead began calling me in my nickname. "Just say the word and I'll kill him." The heroine's knight suddenly appears!? Ughh...I'm tired with all of this..... "Just stay by my side and you'll have nothing to worry about." What's with the male lead?
