GOOD-BAD MORNING

Marie wake up in the morning as usual to prepare for school as it's the weekday, More things to do at the school today because it's Friday and she is among those that will prepare for the coming week in arranging for the open day assembly as the social prefect girl of Distinct Schools.

Even though she's been taking to school by a school bus, she still dress up late and some times miss the bus and go to school by a uber as the only daughter of Mrs Abigail Richard.

Within few minutes of waking up Marie had dressed up and ready for school, "Sir Adam" she called out as she comes out of her room holding her school bag in one hand not minding it's heaviness as it almost pull her down when rushing through the stairs.

"Where is my lunch box!" she shouted, entering in to the kitchen where Adam is packing the lunch box and trying to close it up but the zip is proofing stubborn.

She grabbed the bag from Adam, a old man of about 63 years old.

The way Marie did is doing at the moment is so strange to Adam because he had known her for lateness and that makes him look at her mysteriously as she's rushing doing all what she did.

Just before she opens the door leading out of the sitting room she heard a voice as that of her mother faintly calling her name, she look back and discover is truly her moms voice the "mother she had not seen for the past three years".

At this moment she did not know what to do because she did not expect her to be back into the house at this time. She then decide to leave the house and slam the door behind her , then rushed out of the compound entering into the school bus that have just be waiting for her in which her mother calls out loudly and did not answer.

At the school Marie is so bittered in her heart to the extend that the award she wants to receive from the school authority as the most neat senior student turn out not to interest her anymore, the reason she dressed swiftly in the morning.

Her mother has been away for three years and just came back last night, for those years she had missed the love of mother and somehow feel bad when she see other children with their mother.

Marie only speak to her mom on phone but their was a argument between them in the past few weeks which make Marie to reject her(mom) calls. This argument is based on the return of her mother.

Marie is lost in thinking without noticing Alex that has just call her in a couple times but come back to life when Alex shakes her hand lying aimlessly on the table as she bow down her head.

"What are you thinking or you are too excited over your award?"

Alex ask her looking straight into her face.

She answer slowly "nothing"

Alex look more serious now as he bangs the table and said,

"what do you mean there's nothing wrong with

you, come to tell me something"

"I said there is nothing wrong with me or are you going to force out word out of me".

She replied in a more sharp and anger tone.

Alex look around hoping that no one concentrated on their discussion with the class full of student when he sees no one seems to care except the gossips sitting at the back and corner of the class,laughing at him for how Marie replied him.

He no more care as he look at Marie and turn back but Marie hold his hand from behind telling him to sit on a vacant chair beside her. The gossips that laugh earlier then choruses "Awwwwww" and shut it when Marie shouted at them "Is that not enough for now, lazy bones" "That is your own problem, silly award winner" They shouted back at her which catches the attention of the whole class.

This words quickens the anger of Marie but Alex cool her down before she alters anymore words.

For about two minutes both of them did not say any word to each other but just staring until Alex break the silence "I just want to know what's wrong with you because I supposed you are to be the most happiest lady of the moment" She then answered looking down and then into Alex eyes "I am sorry for that attitude it's just that my mom is around, I saw her this morning, it's just a bad morning for me"

This surprises Alex cos he thinks Marie has always want to see her mother but maybe because of the argument she told him she had with her mom make her angry.

He then tries to cool her down but do this for almost seven minutes before she stop being spitting out anger words for the action of her mother.

She then decide to call the award received in the morning as the good and is mother arrival as the bad morning despite Alex persuasion.
