Chapter 13 the Shower.

Two days later they built the shower because Alesia asked them to do it.

All that talk about hot showers made her want to take one and the men didn't oppose it as they both wanted to take one as well.

So the next day after work they dismantled one of the showers from one of the ships nearby.

Mikael took some metal scrap and made a tank to heat the water in by using the cutting torches.

Simon got a small electrical engine from one of the fighters and turned it into an electric pump.

When all the parts were ready they just had to assemble it and it took some time to do it.

In the end two days later they had a shower built.

Alesia was the first to try and she managed to walk even without her nano suit.

While she was taking a shower both humans were in front of Mikaels house talking about the next experiment.

-That was great.

She said walking from behind the house where the shower was installed.

-Then I'm next.

 The old man said getting up and walking in the direction she just came from.

-I still can't believe how many things you two are able to do with just some scrap that you find around,are all humans like you two?

She asked.

-Some are like us, some are way better than us and some wouldn't survive a day on this planet.

The two of us are average human beings.

He answered.

-Then how come your planet still hasn't reached the stars?

It didn't make any sense for a race who could learn so fast and build something out of nothing to still be bound to its cradle world.

-There are many reasons for that and the main one is that we are not united as a species.

Earth is divided into many countries and we still have wars among ourselves.

There also is a good chance that the humans on earth will wipe themselves out.

He tried to explain.

-Then your people are a warrior race?

-Some are soldiers but most are civilians however that doesn't matter in the end there is no way to unify the human race in the foreseeable future we are just too divided over the resources,religions,ethnicities and many more reasons.

My only way to ever get home is to wait for my people to smarten up and solve the differences between themselves.

-Then do you have an idea how long that would take?

-According to Mikael it will take 250 years at the earliest.

-Wait you said that Humans can live only up to a 100 of your years so how do you plan to live 250 years?

-There is a rejuvenation treatment accessible here, I just need to collect enough credits and i can extend my life.

She was speechless,even her race didn't have the rejuvenation technology and it was accessible here?

That was like the biggest joke in the galaxy for her.

-You're basically saying that as long as you have enough credits then you will be immortal?

Even my empire doesn't have that kind of technology.

As far as i know only the Galactic Federation has this kind of technology and they don't share it,so why did they put it here?

Simon was speechless,he thought that it was a technology available to anyone.

-The only thing that I can think of is that they want to give all beings sent here a chance to go home once their civilization reaches appropriate levels of advancement.

In the end they were the ones who captured us.

He shared his thoughts.

This made a lot of sense .The Federation had a reputation of being : Fair and just to all beings.

So it was probably their way of taking responsibility.

At this moment Mikael came back from the shower.

-I needed that.

He was clearly happy at his first shower in over 50 years.

-Well then now it's my turn

Simon took his toiletries and went to take a shower.

Mikael sat down and started smoking his pipe.

-What are you thinking about?

He asked Alesia who was in deep thought.

-Many things.

She answered when she returned to reality.

-Do you want to talk about it?

-Simon said that your world is still divided and that you still fight with each other.

-That's true, Humanity is at war with each other for as long as we have existed,that's just who we are.

He said.

-Then is it possible for your countries to go to war?

-It's highly unlikely because our countries are on different continents besides Canadians and Poles don't have a reason to go to war.

And even if by some miracle it happened it won't change anything here because we simply won't learn about it until we return to earth.

He explained.

-Then I hope it won't take as long as he told me for you to go home.

-To be honest it may take a lot longer than 250 years but we will see.

She didn't know what to say to that.

-Then why don't you try and repair a ship to get out of here?

Alesia asked after some time.

-Because we don't understand the technology,this whole experiment thing started just a few weeks ago and we can barely operate the shuttle.

Besides, even if we could do it we don't know how to navigate in space and we don't even have any star maps.

So it's almost impossible for us to escape,at least for now.

With time we may be able to understand enough of the technology and if we find some star maps then we might try to repair a ship and go back home.

-Then why don't you come with me when my rescue ship arrives?

She proposed.

-Because if you free us then you will get in trouble for breaking the galactic law and we don't want that.

Hearing his answer she understood that it was impossible to save them.

They had to do it themselves.

-Won't you get in trouble if you try to escape?

She asked him.

-I doubt that,In the end we were abducted and sent to this planet for no other reason than the law of some federation our world isn't even a part of.

So we should be alright especially if we manage to get out of the federation borders.

But that is far into the future for us.
