106 Chapter 105 - Phone Call

—3rd Person POV—

Spending ten minutes searching every nook and cranny for the Summoning Device, the Miko found it lying on Yasaka's bed. Picking the device up in a hurry, she stared at it for a moment before realizing something critically important.

"How do I make it work!?", she shouted as the bombardment started to die down, "Is there a magic word or phrase I need to say?!"

Going through every chant and word she could think of to activate the device, the Miko struggled to get the phone on while a nearly exhausted Yasaka stared down the lightly wounded Rizevim. Having seared his skin in a few places with her Fox Fire, one of her Purgatory Flame Orbs had landed a direct hit on the Super Devil forcing him to discard one of his favorite robes. No longer able to hide his rage, Rizevim stopped messing around and began pressing his advantage.

"I must say you have done more damage than I thought you capable of!", Rizevim praised her, "I can't wait to dissect you, and see how the Otherworlder boosted your power!! Your sacrifice won't be in vain, once I am done there are plenty of other uses for your body."

"I am not out of this yet…", Yasaka remarked reverting back to her human state, "I still have plenty of magical power left in reserve!!"

Having exhausted most of her magic power before regaining her senses, Yasaka knew she was in a bind now. Her magic reserves were nearly tapped out, and all she had been able to do was destroy his robe and graze him in a few places. The rest of her magic attacks had completely devastated the surrounding area leaving it completely unrecognizable from what it was just minutes ago. Cursing her immaturity, she regretted not calling Cole immediately like she should have.

Readying himself to finish Yasaka, Rizevim stopped when he started to sense two approaching Devils. Turning back to see who it was, he saw Sirzechs and Ajuka flying toward him at great speed. Knowing that they had come to stop him, as both were on the side of the Peace Faction, Rizevim knew it was now or never.

Launching himself forward at blinding speed, the exhausted Yasaka was unable to avoid his attack. Blasting her with a powerful explosive spell at point-blank range, the Kitsune was sent flying through several homes before slamming into their well. Trying to pick herself back up, Yasaka barely looked up before another blast hit her again. Rapid firing the attacks faster than the Youkai could react to, Rizevim wanted to make an example out of her to the others.

"Rizevim stop this now!", Sirzechs shouted as the two got closer, "You are going to doom us all by provoking them!!"

"As if I care, we are Devils…committing atrocities is what we are made for!!", he laughed blasting Yasaka over and over, "Go ahead, try and stop me now!! All I have to do is speak with Lucifer, and your grandfather's head will be on the chopping block!! The Devil Kings want the war to continue, I am simply helping ensure it does!!"

"Enough!!", Ajuka proclaimed as he placed a barrier between Rizevim and Yasaka, "We can't afford for this war to continue any longer, our race is on the brink of extinction, and you are here provoking someone that can make it happen! Our attention should be focused on rebuilding our people, not plunging us into a war we can't win!"

"Stay out of my way!!", Rizevim roared as he unleashed a powerful surge of energy upon them, "It is only natural that we Higher Beings remind these Lesser Creatures that this is our world and that through our continued mercies they continue to live!"

Drawing Rizevim's attention away from Yasaka for a moment, the Kitsune used this opportunity to drag herself to her home. Knowing that she had to call Cole now for aid, she made it halfway there when the Miko came out in a panic. Seeing her leader on the ground and barely clothed, the young girl ran over with the device and handed it to her. Unlocking the phone, Yasaka was about to call when Rizevim returned again.

"Call Lord Cole now!!", Yasaka pleaded with her as she pushed the girl away from the incoming spells, "Tell him to hurry-"

Bombarding her with fire spells this time, Rizevim reached through the flames that quite engulfed her and seized her by the throat. Pulling her out, he spun around and slammed her into the dirt. Jumping onto her, he began launching curses and explosive spells at her. Unable to move, all she could do was scream out in pain while her people looked on.

"Stop this now!!", Sirzechs shouted prying Rizevim off of her.

"Let go of me, you bastard!!", Rizevim seethed as he began engaging Sirzechs and Ajuka, "Stay out of this or I will happily kill both of you as well!!"

"I'd like to see you try it!", Ajuka stated rejoining Sirzechs.

Not sure how long they had the Miko, who didn't know what button to push, pressed the first thing she saw on the screen hoping it was it. Still open to the game Gabriel, Eri, and Yasaka had been playing, the Miko had inadvertently called Eri via Game Chat. Noticing the call pop-up on her screen, Eri answered it thinking Yasaka had more questions. Before Eri could ask what issue she was having, the young shrine priestess cut her off.

"Is Lord Cole there!? We need help, our village is under attack!!", the Miko pleaded desperately, "Lady Yasaka is critically wounded, we need his help!!"

Hearing the girl crying on the other end of the call, Eri knew this wasn't a joke.

"Okay, I will call my Daddy!!", Eri replied with determination.

Looking around for one of her mothers, Eri remembered that most of them were gone right now. Taking her tablet into the kitchen, Cole's daughter pushed her stool over to the counter where their landline was and climbed onto the counter. Picking up the phone, she began typing in her father's number which he made her remember in case of emergencies.

"Please hurry, Lady Yasaka won't-", the Miko started grabbed by Rizevim for use as a body shield.

"Calling your Protector for help, are you? I guess you didn't bother contacting him before coming to face me.", Rizevim mocked the Youkai, "Who am I speaking to on the other side?"

Felling his evil aura over the phone, Eri's tiny body shivered in fear. Recalling her days trapped in a lab by Overhaul, she fought through her fear for her friend. Knowing that her father wouldn't let her or anyone close to them get hurt, Eri said the first thing that came to mind.

"I am not supposed to talk to strangers, but…DON'T HURT MISS YASAKA!!", Eri proclaimed, "Daddy will beat you up if you harm her!!"

Realizing that it was Cole's Daughter, Rizevim decided to antagonize her just as the landline phone connected.

—Cole POV—

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you ma'am.", I said bowing my head politely, "Fuyumi has told me a lot about you, thank you for bringing such an amazing woman into the world."

"Cole!!", Fuyumi gasped in embarrassment.

"Hehe, you picked a charmer.", her mother teased her, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Cole, my daughter hasn't stopped talking about you since you meet the first time. I can understand why my daughter has taken a liking to you."

"Mother!!", Fuyumi protested as she lightly pushed her.

Laughing at her cute response, I was about to sit down and talk when my phone started ringing. Seeing that the call was coming from the house my facial expression changed as I answered it. As all of my wives had phones at this point, the only ones who would be calling were the two Princesses, Kota, or Eri.

"Is something wrong?", I asked worried about what was going on.

"Daddy, Miss Yasaka is being-", Eri started to say before another voice overwhelmed hers.

"Haha, you are the Otherworlder's child, aren't you?", an unknown voice stated, "If I were to guess, you are probably the little girl I heard showed up at the Conference the other day. Leviathan told me that she could sense an unusual power radiating off of you, wonder what I might find if I cut you open!!"

Hearing my daughter start to choke up, a scowl formed on my face as my vision turned red. Noticing my expression change drastically, Fuyumi asked what was wrong and who was on the phone. Asking Eri to please cover her ears, I waited till I was certain she covered them before speaking.

"Wait…right…there…", I commanded with a monstrous amount of Killing Intent, "Threatening my family will be the last mistake of your miserable life. When I massacre your allies, I will make sure every single person I break understands this happened because of you…"

Hanging up the phone, I apologized to the family and said I needed to deal with someone. Telling them that someone threatened to harm Eri, I promised to be back soon as no one gets away with threatening the lives of my family members. It didn't matter if I erased the entire Underworld from existence, that bastard Devil was going to pay dearly for hurting my child.

—3rd Person POV—

Hearing the line cut off, Rizevim looked at the device in confusion. Thinking that Cole was just verbally threatening him, he and the other two Devils froze in place as an ungodly amount of Blood Lust encompassed the area. Having never felt such anger before, the three glanced over to Cole who was standing atop the Storage Building. Feeling his gaze burning their souls as they looked at him, Ajuka and Sirzechs quickly turned away sweating and breathing heavily.

'What sort of monster did he anger?!', the two men thought as they collapsed to their knees.

"You..", Cole said pointing at Rizevim, "You are the crotch spawn of Lucifer and Lily, right? How many of your allies should I kill along with you today..?"

Letting the Miko go and backing away from the heavily injured Yasaka, Rizevim began pouring sweat as Cole's red eyes stared into him. Forcing himself to slowly back away, as his body wouldn't move any faster, the Super Devil pissed himself unconsciously as the air began to crackle with electricity.

"Now hold on a moment…", Rizevim begged, "We…we can talk this like civil men, right?"

"Silence…", Cole commanded shutting him up instantly, "Don't even try to run…there is nowhere you can hide that I won't find you. You became a dead man the moment you uttered a word to my precious daughter."

Falling flat on his butt, the Super Devil regretted having decided to come here today. Had he simply moved along as Lucifer and Lilith asked, he wouldn't be cowering in the dirt in front of this beast.

"I am here now, everything is going to be fine.", Cole told Yasaka as he healed her and wrapped her in one of his spare coats, "Take this brave young woman and get inside the shelter. Leave the rest to me, and no matter what…do not step outside of that building till I say so. I don't want innocent people to be harmed by what is about to happen."

Noticing an unearthly storm beginning to brew about the village, the two didn't argue with him. Thanking Cole for showing up so quickly, they immediately retreated like they had been instructed. Once they were inside, Cole placed several dozen powerful barriers around the building to ensure they would survive no matter what happened. Turning back to Rizevim after that, the Super Devil began to feel his hair begin standing on end.

"Two days…not two fucking days since I gave your father an ultimatum did you violate the agreement. Not only that, you have the stones to threaten my children and think I would just accept that!", Cole roared as the wind began picking up, "Since you decided to treat my ultimatum as a bluff, everything that happens from here on out is on you."

"Wait a moment!!", Sirzechs pleaded as he gasped for air, "Not all of us…support him!!"

"Rizevim is the would-be heir to Lucifer's Throne…you allowed him to become this arrogant, you can suffer the consequences.", Cole remarked, "If you have anyone to blame, it's yourselves for not stopping things before they reached this point. Both of you are far stronger than him, but you are held back because of your respect for your families. Their misplaced faith and respect for Lucifer led you here, now you can face the consequences of your actions…"
