6 An unpredictable moment

I wore an attractive dress to school today because it's my birthday, usually we wear the school uniform. When I reached school all my friends gathered around me, I felt really special. And then, I started getting loads of birthday wishes. Then, in an instant I remembered that Chloe wrote me a letter saying that I would receive my gift today! So, I went to my desk and saw a box covered in red. I took it and opened it and it was a necklace. the necklace was so pretty that I felt like putting it on immediately. So, I asked Joanna to help me put it. she told me that wearing it will get me to no good. I reluctantly wore it after I heard what Joanna said, it might be true. After some time, I forgot about it, I was distributing the sweets to my classmates and then suddenly, I overlooked a bag and tripped and fell down. I felt humiliated, I stood up fast and continued distributing. Later At school, everyone was looking at me in a wierd manner, some people were murmuring and laughing when they saw me. I immediately went to the washroom to check if anything was out of place. And I was startled to see that my makeup had smudged. I was hopeless and terrified. I tried to calm my self down. I tried to find a way to resolve it. I opened the tap water and suddenly, water splashed all over me, my dress was wet and soaked, even my hair was wet. It was inconceivable for me to go out of the washroom in such a plight! Suddenly, someone came into the washroom and with a gasp I was going to hide behind the bathroom door but, to my surprise it was Joanna, she gasped and she hugged me, she said that she was worried that it had been 20 minutes since I had gone to the washroom and didn't come back. I was thankful to god that someone had seen my difficulties. Joanna incredulously stared at me in dismay. she took my hand and said it was all going to be fine and we could settle it down.
